Toinho Posted January 24, 2019 Posted January 24, 2019 Some of us have been fortunate to travel bits of the globe. This isn’t a poll to brag about or feel shite about how much travelling you’ve done. It’s from a pure interest perspective and I know a fair few of us have been many places. Perhaps this will serve as good motivation to book that trip you’re um-ing and ah-ing about. Our European members have the advantage here I’d say.
Administrator Stan Posted January 24, 2019 Administrator Posted January 24, 2019 16 I think. I've been to about 3 or 4 US states but counted those as one.
...Dan Posted January 25, 2019 Posted January 25, 2019 Wales, Scotland, Ireland, France, Italy, Spain, Germany, Switzerland. I only left the UK for the first time in 2012. Never been on a family holiday.

Considering states are not countries... then you did the right thing! I am not counting Macau and HK for mine. Think it’s 26 or 27. Would need to sit down and think.

Harry Posted January 25, 2019 Posted January 25, 2019 I went on a 3 week group tour that saw 12 countries in Europe. It probably paints an inaccurate picture as I barely sampled those countries relative to what others would normally do..
Subscriber Mel81x+ Posted January 25, 2019 Subscriber Posted January 25, 2019 i'd love to add more to the list of places I have been and thinking South America should start getting planned sometime next year when I decide to take some time off work to travel.
nudge Posted January 25, 2019 Posted January 25, 2019 Without counting, I'd say about 15. Which also includes a few countries visited only for a weekend or so, so the actual number of countries traveled is definitely much lower; maybe around 8-10.
Smiley Culture Posted January 25, 2019 Posted January 25, 2019 England, Scotland, Wales, France, Belgium, Germany, Austria, Italy, Spain (Canary Islands). Going to mainland Spain twice this year and Slovenia. Will try and squeeze in another city break, if possible this year.
Moderator Tommy Posted January 25, 2019 Moderator Posted January 25, 2019 Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg, Austria, Slovenia, Croatia, Bosnia, Greece, Morocco, Turkey, England, Wales, Malta, France, Spain, Bulgaria. So 16.
Azeem Posted January 25, 2019 Posted January 25, 2019 Why is Scotland/Wales being counted as a country ? Isn't it like a county of UK or what's its officially called.

(England, Scotland, Wales, Northern Ireland).

From what I've seen they cherry pick whether to be considered a single entity or seperare ones depending what suits their argument...

Do i need a Scottish visa to visit Scotland or a UK one ?

Only a UK one and that enables you to travel freely between the 4 countries.
