Iniesta had seen it coming from the first half and he warned his teammates during the half-time but nobody gave a crap. It's really sad if that was his last match in CHL.3 points

I said Salah would be a great signing, but like normal, you were just catching up2 points

He even became an F1 Fan and talks about the races in his podcasts. I listen to them every now and then. Man, I could watch or listen to everything this man is on.1 point

Hes quickly become one of my favourites, his set on never hitting a woman is classic. His impromptu reaction stuff is some of the best, just off the cuff reactions on politics and whatnot. I wish i had more time to listen to all these podcasts I know he does one too.1 point

Oh there is no doubt, in his own age group he is something very special, however, thats the key, own age group. I have followed our youth program since ChelseaTV came to being. It gives us excellent coverage of mainly the older boys, but allows us access to see the younger players from time to time. The main thing I have come to understand is players excelling in their own age group against having to perform against, lets say that huge jump to first team football. We have and have had from roughly around 8-10 years the best youth teams in England. Our boys are taught the right way to play, that is, if you agree with the system. You will find all our boys are comfortable on the ball, bringing the ball out from the keeper and trying to play the ball through the team without oaffing it forward to the CF (Seems crazy as our first team plays best with the big CF). Almost every level of England age teams are full of our boys and those of us who really follow it will tell you its as thou we are capped on the number of representatives we are allowed, because both the teams who won worlds 17's n 20's, we could have filled more places in the squad as we had players as good or better than the guys from other clubs. Now I know the muppets who dont follow our club who have the intelligence to get this far into my posting will no doubt be spitting out their dummys wanting to spout how many make it to the first team?. Well that is really what I am getting at, Talent against own age group ~ making the jump to Chelsea first team level. The best player I saw in the Chelsea youth team was Lassana Diarra. He was so far advanced compared to the other players it was almost laughable. But for Makelele, there is a argument he would still be in our first team. The best player I have seen elsewhere is Jadon Sancho, formally of Manchester City now at Dortmund. He teamed up on the left had side for England with our Odoi and they pretty much were the reason why England got to the World Cup finals for under 17's. I would have thought if Sancho's head can be turned once, be sure it can happen again.. So in answer to your Odoi question? ~ He is at a level I have seen many times come through Chelsea Youth over the last 10 years. I would probably put him on the same level as Scott Sinclair who was head n shoulders above his own age level. He has made a good career for himself, just never been good enough for us. Odoi isnt as good as Gaël Kakuta who we had such big hopes for, but I believe he has a chance as long as they play him where he has been brought up to play. Wide left so he can cut in on his right. I have my fingers crossed for Tammy as I picked him out at 14. Alas the last forward I said had a great chance was Ben Sahar. Seduced by his speed against his own age group..... Must never make that mistake again!1 point

Bill Burr is my favourite comedian, by far. He just doesn't give a fuck and says what he thinks. Very refreshing and entertaining Here's a video of him reacting to silly interviewers: I can not stress enough how much I love this man. His stand up programs on Netflix are amazing as well. This is hilarious too:1 point

I love me some Bill Burr, he does a short bit of a bunch of his material here. Fallons kind of annoying in this, best part of his rant starts about 2:40 and then he goes off.1 point

If Leganes had some fire power then they could have scored 3 or 4 in the second half the other day and not to mention the Sevilla game, which I'm surprised didn't end about 5-2 to them as they were THAT superior. There is a lack of spark in midfield and no creativity, no razzmatazz, although last night there was nothing in terms of pace in attack and this where Dembele had to play for me. The lad's class and getting better. why not continue to help his confidence by starting him in these games? He was good against Chelsea and gave them something to think about. I don't think Valverde should be sacked or any of that nonsense for the record, as some others have mentioned. He has Coutinho to use for the rest of this season and next season. The Brazilian will improve the team a lot alone, he's the creativity that is lacking, he has a deadly long shot on him and is hungry. Himself and Dembele with Messi and a new number 9 next season would be compatible and exciting to watch. You don't go undefeated in 31 games in a top league if you require a major overhaul, but at the same time you don't go out in the Champs league quarters 3-0 after being 4-1 up from the first leg unless there are some changes that need to be made in order to continue to be successful. It was one of the biggest comebacks in Champions league history, in fact it may have been THE biggest had it not been for Barcelona vs PSG last season. It's not about going out, it's the manner. The thing is, 4 champions league in 12 years(if going back to when Ronaldinho was at the club until now as that is when we truly start to witness the rise) is an achievement by any club's standards, but then you look at these players, these teams during this period and you realise that 4 could have been a few more. In terms of domestically, a side couldn't be more dominant but I think there could have been more done in Europe during this "Messi period", which has also been complemented by some of the finest players I've seen in their respective positions in the likes of Puyol, Xavi, Busquets, Iniesta and Dani Alves(just before that Eto'o, Ronaldinho, Deco).... You may not get players like this again at the club simultaneously and you need to make the most of them. Xavi and Puyol have obviously gone and trophies have been won since(even if neither have ever truly been replaced), but now we are seeing the end of Iniesta, who you can see is now starting to slow down(sad to see) and then the next will be Busquets and Messi, I'd also say Alba given how much his importance has grown. But maybe Valverde can go all the way next season. I think it is important that the team maintain this unbeaten run now though and beat Sevilla in the final. If so, then this will have been a successful season for him minus this result and he should be allowed to build on it if he wins the 2 trophies still on offer this season. What could he do next season with an eligible Coutinho, a new attacking(talk of Griezmann who could answer that problem), a more experienced and settled young Dembele and Arthur? It's now about the team going on and going for that unbeaten run. No Champions League now means the full focus(other than the Copa Del rey final, which should also be prioritised) can be on maintaining that.1 point

agree on all points. after the comeback of barca against psg last season. madrid's win over wolfsburg. this season - the first leg win of liverpool against City and holding out on the second leg and the heroics of Roma last night. the phrase anything can happen in football have been revived and holds some meaning now in any knockout competition.1 point

You would never had really witnessed in the past a Barcelona team losing a 3 nil score in the 2nd leg, it mostly happens the other way round.1 point

But do you not think this a huge loss to Barcelona going out of the champions and another chance for Real to win yet another European title or is La Liga a bigger achievement to win for Barcelona over Real?1 point

Nobody said it was easy to win the Champions League and I’ve never heard it said before by anyobody. What’s for sure is that it’s a lot harder to win a league title and even more so in one of the bigger leagues seeing as this is not France we’re talking about here. The Champions League is commercialised and marketed a lot more outside the continent of Europe and it has to be because it sells well and it’s how the money is created to pay the clubs who participate in it which isn’t small amounts. Plus, due to it’s marketability, winning and participating in the Champions League makes a club’s life a hell of a lot easier to market the entity outside the continent which is what brings in the £€$¥ to the clubs. It’s mainly about money and secondary about anything else which is a given anyhow.1 point

Ernesto Valverde is an excellent coach mate and a perfect fit for what Barcelona need. It seems you’re basing a whole season on the Champions League and if this is the case then this is absolutely mental. I know football fans outside Europe feel that the be all and end all is the Champions League and also adding to the fact the size of FCB and that they always set out to compete to win every competition. If Barcelona are in such a bad state, then Real Madrid who currently sit in 4th spot in La Liga and got knocked out by Leganés in the Copa del Rey (almost knocked out by third tier side Fuenlabrada in the previous round) must be almost about to fold as a club! There was a combination of factors as to why Barça capitulated last night and Valverde (who isn’t without some blame) was the least culpable. The biggest issue was complacency and that was part of the reason as to why I said there was more to this tie than meets the eye. Unbeaten in La Liga, in the Final of the Copa del Rey and in the QF of the Champions League having only conceded 3 goals until then in that competition... Complacency and a lack of respect was the biggest virus sitting in the background ready to strike if all the usual steps weren’t taken. At 4-1 from the first leg you can’t be eliminated because Barça aren’t Paris Saint-Germain with all due respects. Busquets isn’t ready to play and it was obvious yesterday that he isn’t match fit which affected Iniesta’s display as he feeds off him, while Piqué (fundamentally) and Semedo were terrible. There were NO decent displays yesterday from any Barcelona player and they didn’t show up in Rome to face a quarter-final clash and this tells you how bad those two were.1 point

Kinda random, but I find it so bizarre to see an F1 car in such an environment. Very cool though.1 point

the only thing that makes me feel bad about Barcelona's elimination is Iniesta. I always loved this guy and if this was his last CHL in his career then it is really sad for me.1 point

Where was Barca last night? Didn't see any other team in Olimpico other than Roma. and Roma isn't even in the top 3 in Serie A while Barcelona is first with huge distance from the second. how can you explain this?1 point
