His suggestion is stupid, but he’s someone that’s called into TalkSport so of course he’s stupid. I know we’ve got great players and a great manager, but at this point I just feel fully fucking defeated. We had great players under Rafa and had just one title contending season, where we were robbed by this bullshit: https://www.google.com/amp/s/amp.theguardian.com/football/2008/sep/21/liverpool.stokecity (tried to find a video because I know I used to YouTube but I don’t know where it is now) - but with the video it really highlights how much the referee fucked us. But after that season we fucking imploded. Then we had Rodgers and for a while had 3 great players and 2 promising players growing with the game and we had a title challenge. But we also had one of the worst defenses in Europe and never did a fucking thing to address it tactically and just hoped we could overpower teams to the title, we didn’t. Now we’ve got 94 fucking points. I never thought we’d have this many points. And it just seems like in those rare seasons we actually compete in a title race some other club of cunts just has to go on and also have an incredible season. It’s never like the years where a title winner gets crowned a few weeks (or months in City’s case last year), so I’m actually unimaginably bitter as fuck about that. Like I cannot put it into words how fucking irritating it is and how much I’m pissed off about it. This season has me just about convinced that we won’t ever win the league while I’m alive, and I’m absolutely fucking gutted. The only way this season isn’t spoiled for us is if one or two miracles happen. No way I’m looking back on it fondly if by the end of the season things are as they are now.4 points

Here we are, at the end of the line, and following @...Dan's successful conquest of the French round of our competition, I can now publish the final results and announce this season's champion. 1. @Viva la FCB - 33 points 2. @Lucas - 26 points 3. @RandoEFC - 20 points 4. @...Dan - 19 points 5. @The Palace Fan - 18 points 6. @José / @Panna King / @Bluewolf - 13 points 7. @Eco - 12 points 8. @binder - 11 points 9. @Rucksackfranzose - 9 points 10. @nudge / @Storts / @Stan - 8 points 11. @Batard - 7 points 12. @StefBWFC - 6 points 13. @Tommy - 5 points 14. @Cicero / @Dan / @Cannabis / @DNA / @Harry / @Dr. Gonzo / @DeadLinesman - 4 points 15. @SchalkeUK / @Spike - 3 points 16. @BounceAroundTheGround / @Azeem / @CaaC - John - 2 points 17. @Bluebird Hewitt / @JOSHBRFC / @robosys / @Mel81x - 1 point 18. @Rick / @shut up / @bozziovai / @LFCMike / @YNWA / AMG - 0 points Congratulations to @Viva la FCB, who backs up his World Cup Last Man Standing victory with a demolition of the entire field throughout the course of this season. Only @Lucas was able to really hold a torch to our champion and their season-long battle was defined by that epic 10 week duel in the Serie A round where it was Lucas who came out on top. @RandoEFC's season was a story of consistency and he completes the podium despite failing to win any of the individual rounds. A reminder of the story of this season - Round 1: Premier League was won by @Panna King with 8 consecutive correct picks. Round 2: Bundesliga was won by @The Palace Fan with 5 consecutive correct picks. Round 3: Serie A was won by @Lucas with 10 consecutive correct picks. Round 4: La Liga was won by @Viva la FCB with 6 consecutive correct picks. Round 5: Ligue 1 was won by @...Dan through the tie break after everyone fell in Gameweek Four. Thanks to all who took part. Last Man Standing will return at some point in the future.2 points

Funnily enough I saw this meme a few minutes ago: But yea, I like it too, especially a proper Vienna dialect. Bavarian is not too bad. Schwäbisch is the worst of the worst for me though.1 point

Liverpool might not hit 97 points again in the near future but it's also highly unlikely that City can keep hitting 100 year in, year out. With two Premier Leagues in the bag you can expect Pep to shift more of their resources towards making sure they win a Champions League before he leaves so that may open the door for someone else. I can't see this Liverpool team getting significantly weaker for at least a couple of seasons and I also can't see any of the others behind reaching the level Liverpool and City have established for another couple of years so there's every chance you can win the league next season or the one after. Funny if you don't though. As for the phonecall, it probably is a Liverpool fan. There's enough of them out there that there's bound to be one who's genuinely that stupid. Doesn't exactly matter though.1 point

Gonzo hit every single point perfectly. This season has been a fucking horrible one. We have done more than enough to win the bastard league, but City and their bottomless pit of resources has fucking ruined it. Fuck them more than ever before. I don't particularly dislike Kompany either, he's the model pro and you have to respect what he's done. That being said, I absolutely fucking hate him for that stupid goal he scored last night. City needed a screamer to beat Leicester, and of all people it's the fucking old centre half that does it. Annoying beyond words.1 point

I have to counter argument the "why didn't she just kill Tyrion" argument. I think the logic is that it's a major taboo in Westeros to kill someone in cold blood during negotiations, which is different than the Bronn murder angle because it's not public and Cersei has plausible deniability if some sellsword assassinates Tyrion halfway across the world from her. However, if the logic was consistent then I'm pretty sure blowing up the Sept, including the High Septon and the actual Queen, and taking the throne from her dead children when she had literally no claim to do so, would have carried consequences for Cersei. When Daenerys cancelled the fighting pits in Meereen she faced a huge civil war even though she has dragons and an army of Unsullied. Cersei does something worse (exploding the Sept and half of the city) and doesn't even have dragons to scare people into not starting their own Kings Landing version of Sons of the Harpy. She faced the Sparrows as a backlash against too much war, then faces nothing when she blows them up? If this happened in GRRM's books or in the early seasons, the Sept explosion and Cersei taking the throne would have led to an entire plotline where she faced consequences for her actions and probably gets overthrown before Dany even lands in Westeros. Now I think about it it is actually crazy how Cersei is just allowed to rule in Kings Landing with no backlash for her ruthless approach, and her killing Tyrion in cold blood would have been in keeping with her recent decisions, and her getting away with it for no reason would have been in keeping with the loss of the 'actions have consequences' theme that made Game of Thrones what it is since they passed the book material. Dammit HBO.1 point

Haha, I've had that on Malta. For 11 days. It was such a good deal, like 365 Euros, half board, and as mentioned 11 days. I had 3 beds, a tiny flat screen TV, but a just a tiny window that faced... the inside of the hotel, if that makes sense? I don't know how to call it. I just saw a few pipes and the kitchen staff always had their breaks on the ground. That was my view: I mean, for that kind of money, it was totally okay, but I love myself a good view from a balcony on vacation1 point

I watched the episode again yesterday. My initial viewing was too emotional to make a decent judgement of everything but having had a chance to see it again I have to say that I agree with the majority of complaints. The plot armour for some of these characters was ridiculous. Brienne, Podraig, Davos, Greyworm and Missandei should have all been killed off. I can only assume we have another epic battle left (Emilia Clarke hinted towards 5 being that) that will finish some of these characters off because otherwise it's ridiculously watered down. I loved the final sequence with the night king walking towards Bran. The score made it; what an absolutely fantastic piece of music that was. That being said, his death did a great disservice to him. The night king should have been so much more and Jon should have been there to at least fight him somewhat. There's part of me that hopes the night king isn't gone, but considering how dumbed down this show became (still highly entertaining) after they past the books, I don't have high hopes1 point

Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil and Vile. 8/10 Worth a watch. Better than I anticipated. Zac Efon’s portrayal of Ted Bundy looks to be his best performance yet. @LFCMike1 point
