  2. If they snag up Thiago Alcantara that will bring an entire new dynamic to their team. He is an amazing player albeit a little older these days. Liverpool are in the driver's seat, they have to be like the old Man Utd, ruthless, and always pushing for better and better. Fergie didn't let sentimentality slog him down, he'd get rid of a Ruud van Nistelrooy level player just at the right time.

  3. I think this is what @Rick is trying to say but @LFCMadLad sees it as an insult to Klopp or the club If you don't consistently evolve or improve on what you already have, you just become stagnant. But because none of us are involved with the club, we must not speak.

  4. You talk shite. Why are you even a member of this forum if you don’t want to discuss anything? @Stan no more talking about who you want Leicester to sign cause it’s not your decision in the end. @Cicero same with you with Chelsea mate, give up the Telles crack. @DeadLinesman you can stop talking about how you want Lingard to be given a new 5 year deal, it’s up to the officials at the club to make that decision. Shut the website down.

  5. Pulisic looks pretty special to me, maybe not peak hazard yet but not too far off. Next year is massive for Lampard, he’s been given a free pass this year.

  6. Rick does, he knows everything. He should be Manager, Owner, Scout, job lot. Rick thinks merging training facilities and expanding the stadium grows on trees.

  10. I will say though, if Liverpool don't blow a wad of cash on another elite player this year, the team will probably burn out.

  12. I get HAL vibes from it and I also get the feeling it thinks I am in its way and would put me in a box and suffocate me till it finds a more subservient entity to do its bidding haha. Putting all that aside I think its wonderful what the folks at OpenAI are achieving and more importantly the parts where it is able to do machine language translations on its own with some time and not so complex issues. The demos were very simple and the big push for NLP style questions but its working to a certain degree and it will only get better. As developers we may be out of work pretty soon if this keeps up but I figure the market has been shifting for years now and we're at a stage where you really can build something on the internet with no knowledge of computer languages or the platform you're building it on (some website builders do this today anyways). The next logical step here isn't pondering our existence but telling it jokes and seeing how it comprehends them in the context of the joke being told and then we should be both worried and very excited.

  13. Venus has at least 37 recently-active volcanoes It was previously thought that the planet had cooled down too much to show volcanic activity. Venus is home to at least 37 recently-active volcanic structures, a study by researchers at the University of Maryland and the Institute of Geophysics at ETH Zurich has found. It is the first evidence that the interior of the planet is still geologically active. Previous studies have found evidence of a warm interior and ring-like structures known as coronae, which form when plumes of hot material deep inside the planet rise through the mantle layer and crust in a manner similar to the way mantle plumes formed the volcanic Hawaiian Islands. However, it was thought that they were signs of the ancient activity and that the planet had cooled enough to slow down geological activity in the planet’s interior and harden the crust so much that any warm material from deep inside would not be able to puncture through. In the new study, the researchers created models of the thermal activity beneath the surface of Venus to create high-resolution, 3D simulations of coronae formation. They then used these to identify features that are present only in recently-active coronae and looked for similar structures on the surface of Venus. A 3D render showing two coronae observed on the surface of Venus © University of Maryland “This is the first time we are able to point to specific structures and say ‘Look, this is not an ancient volcano but one that is active today, dormant perhaps, but not dead,’” said Laurent Montési, a professor of geology at the University of Maryland. “This study significantly changes the view of Venus from a mostly inactive planet to one whose interior is still churning and can feed many active volcanoes.” A global map of Venus showing active coronae (red) and inactive coronae (white) © Anna Gülcher The active coronae on Venus are clustered together in a handful of locations, which suggests areas where the planet is most active. This may help identify target areas where geologic instruments should be placed on future missions to Venus, such as Europe’s EnVision that is scheduled to launch in 2032. Science Focus

  15. Absolute don! Been one of my favourites in recent years for us and was one of our best players in that title-winning season under Conte. What a career he's had and wish him all the best at Roma.
