  1. I'm not a lawmaker in Peru, so don't know what the regulations are there for vaccinated people. As for the Brazilian variant - as @Stan said already, first lab studies suggest that Pfizer does neutralise it. There's no real world data yet, but everything suggests it will be effective.

  2. I got you, I was agreeing with you. I was just seconding the point of how bad it looks.

  6. Have I ever told the story of how they filmed this on my old street and you could see my fathers car in that episode? Iconic.

  8. That's our daughter's reaction with wee Kaiden (now 7), misbehave and then she will act, no tv etc but he loves staying for a sleepover around here as we, as grandparents, are a bit more lenient but really he is good as gold and will do as he is told, one thing he does love is the wife has to read him a bedtime story before he goes to sleep. It's funny really as the daughter said when he misbehaves and gets told off he will always say "I am going around granny & granddads to stay..." then will walk away into his bedroom in a huff.

  9. New data suggests high effectiveness in preventing transmissions, too. Real-world data from Israel says 94% for asymptomatic and 97% for symptomatic transmissions, I think.

  10. Not sure about transmission but the main thing (for us in the UK anyway) was to stop severe illness or hospitalisations so that our health service doesn't get overwhelmed. Along with lockdown it seems to have worked. Deaths, cases and hospitalisations have all plummeted.

  11. I know you asked @nudge but I was just reading about the vaccines and strains it works against. Apparently the Pfizer one can 'neutralise' against the Brazil strain. I guess whether she is allowed out depends on the local/national rules in Peru...

  12. They are our center left so think so? I’m no politics expert. But of our two major parties they’re more “left”.

  17. Two girls, 17 years of age and 7 years of age.. You'd think the 17 year old would be making me lose sleep at night, you'd be wrong in thinking that. She's the most laid back character I've ever met and is due to start Uni in August. She's had a boyfriend but he seemed a nice lad and she seems more interested in her education at the moment. The 7 year old on the other hand was born about ten years older mentally and loves nothing more than to boss me and my missus about. Only last week I'd gone up to turn her TV off in her room and tell her to read and get to sleep, anyway 10pm I hear a noise upstairs, walks in her room she's got her tv on, netflix watching tv with the volume turned down. Her reply to me was, no kids my age are asleep yet!!! She's 7, needless to say the TV was quickly removed and has only been returned the evening before last.

  18. The little ones are 2 weeks old today. Even though I basically don’t sleep...everyday is new and (usually) amazing.
