Oh come off it, what exactly have I said wrong? What do you disagree that I said that Liverpool has one of the best cores in the world? Do you disagree that the depth isn't great? Do you disagree that Klopp has a demanding style? Or is this another 'you're not a Liverpool fan so you're opinion goes into the bin' scenario? It's so tiring and it's always the same song and dance. I'm 100% impartial to Liverpool and I like discussing them because there are a lot of fans on here, and it's interesting to discuss; well it is till the someone chirps in with comments like that.4 points

Not a concern at this point, as it's just a tiny cubesat with an LCD screen and a selfie stick which will be used to film the screen and livestream it on the web, but the intent is definitely there and it is just so fucking stupid. I hope that before it becomes viable, orbital ads will be made illegal, putting an early end to such nonsense. On top of that, we need more regulation on satellite launches, in general.2 points

Very promising signs last night in the Gamper trophy Vs Juventus, albeit it only being a friendly cup. Depay scored another and assisted one. He also put on a show at times with the flicks and tricks. It looks like @El Profesor could be right about him being a very good signing. He's a different player to the one at Man United. Araújo had Cristiano in his back pocket. The team dominated possession and must have had 70% of it, this without Pedri and de Jong. Fati is close to coming back as well. Alot of young talent for the future. It'll take a few years of development and rebuilding(and financial issues to solve) but this team will be back. Yusuf assisted Depay's goal and again impressed. Who needs Messi? @nudge2 points

As a fan of stealth games, I quite enjoyed that mission. There's a lot of decent stealth moments in the "stories" part of that game... that don't really translate well to the multiplayer at all though I've made some decent progress in The Ascent and I've got to say, while it's not a perfect game and there's a few flaws (there was an awful bug that had to be patched this morning)... I think it's a very enjoyable game. It's like a weird hybrid of Diablo & Gears of War, but it just makes for a fantastically addictive little game.1 point

I assume, at least one, of the plans to deal with space junk is "let's just blow it up." But that'll just cause more junk, that's just smaller... so it's probably not a great solution1 point

This is a great visualisation of what's there - just mindblowing: http://astria.tacc.utexas.edu/AstriaGraph/ And yeah, people in the industry keep on thinking about possible solutions to dealing with space junk, but kinda miss the main one - stop fucking generating it in the first place...1 point

Several thousands of satellites, and more than half of those are defunct space junk. So yeah, it's true - as if there's not enough trash on the planet, we also have to put rubbish around it, too. With satellites getting cheaper as well, I assume it'll only get worse - the rough estimates say about a thousand new ones are expected to be launched into orbit every year in the near future, and that's not including Starlink that hopes to have over 40 THOUSAND satellite constellation once it's finalised! Add Amazon's Project Kuiper and Airbus's OneWeb on top of that. It's ridiculous really; of course communication, navigation and scientific sats are an important part of infrastructure, but you surely have to draw a line somewhere? It's a disaster waiting to happen.1 point

Let's see. With the money those around us are spending they should blow us out of the water. Klopp yesterday: -"I’m very happy with the squad, that doesn’t mean we don’t look at the market. We have a big squad and something might still happen before the end of the transfer window but I can’t say anything at the moment,” he said I'll bump this conversation near the end of the season.1 point

Disintegates, dissolves in the tube or maybe @Batard has got that alian from Mars in his Mafia game and can make things vanish.1 point

VVD and Alisson were signed in the same window, Keita in a different window and Thiago was signed last summer. How as our recruitment been 'mediocre' since then? You're talking shite mate. We didn't just have 'one injury' at all, again that is absolute bollocks. At one point last season we had our whole first team back 4 out injured at the same time, Allisson also spent a chunk of the season sidelined, Fabinho and Henderdon had to play CB before both suffered long spells out injured. Thiago didn't play for 3 months after signing due to injury, Keita couldn't deputise due to injury, along with Ox and we had to rely on youngsters such as Curtis Jones and veterans such as Milner (who also picked up an injury during that time). After dealing with all that, we still managed to pick up more points than any other team in the league during the last 10 games of the season to cement 3rd place. It was only a 4 - 6 week period where a freak run of home losses totally fucked our season. Before that horrible run we were top of the league and after that run we picked up more points than anyone else in the league. But yeah, 1 injury and we are totally fucked. Like I said... talking complete shite!1 point

We once had Smalling, Jones and Evans out at the same time. Who’s laughing now.1 point

Hopefully it comes out of the ocean one day and people create bunch of different countries with similar flags in it so Australia can fuck off from AFC and play in it's own confederation, where it belongs @Spike1 point

Tides (2021) https://www.imdb.com/title/tt6506264 An indie sci-fi/post-apocalyptic movie. Glad I watched it. Unreasonably poor reviews, but the movie was very enjoyable and I also liked the message. Great casting and acting, great cinematography, and the story, while predictable at times, was still solid. German/Swiss production. 7/101 point

Liverpool could have had a dynasty, but they blew it, but not entirely their fault. Can’t see them recapturing that lighting in a bottle. I am still convinced ‘Klopp burnout‘ is a real thing, burning a candle at both ends.1 point

Really stuck on a mission in Battlefield 1. There's this one mission where you have to steal spark plugs for your tank from the Germans. And you have to be rather sneaky. But instead of getting the shovel out to quietly kill a German soldier, I keep throwing a grenade by accident and alert the whole fucking town.1 point

Jungle Cruise (2021) An old fashioned adventure-fantasy family flick. Reminded me of those movies you watch with your parents on Saturday night as a kid. Nothing special, and a predictable plot and outcome, but also good mindless fun. 6.5/101 point

I'm a few episodes into Season 2 now, and I must admit that while I like the idea of the plot, this whole hallucinations/psychosis/mental disorder stuff is not for me, really. I'll probably continue watching as I'm curious what the outcome will be, but overall, it's starting to get on my nerves0 points
