  1. Mate you can still drink. It’s always easier to talk about the challenges because the good moments are indescribable! Your child smiling at you when you get home. Utterly priceless. Them giggling, playing with you etc. It’s just the best.

  2. When you've got young children, you ain't got time to be drinking (to the point of getting shit faced), that's a lesson I learned the hard way.

  4. My ex- gave up drinking and smoking (after some encouragement) when she was pregnant and after our daughter was born she had a few drinks one night. She was breast feeding at the time. Next day no problem. Day two my daughter was uncharacteristically tired and then came to the conclusion, hangover at three months. Next rule no drinking until the breast feeding stops.

  5. I understand your point and got suspicious with the sudden mainstream news of ISIS-K all brandishing new uniforms, face masks all based somewhere with rich fertile soil and a lot of trees, guess the country as I can't yet certainly not Afghan. or Iraq. I would not be surprised if this wasn't someone from the ranks of the Taliban just frustrated that the evacuations were taking too long rather then some glossy new terror group or official Taliban policy. The next steps taken might give us some better insight.

  8. True, when our grandson Kaiden was 4 years old and the wife was babysitting around our daughters she rang me up in a panic and said he had locked himself into the bathroom and would not come out, I calmed the wife down and told her to keep talking to him until I made it around. I jumped on the bus and headed off which took me about 20 minutes with a tool kit in my hands with screwdrivers, hammers etc, when I arrived it was one of the locks you could open from the outside by placing a screwdriver in the slit and just turning it, did that and Kaiden walked out of the bathroom with a cheeky grin on his face. That's why even nowadays at my age and we still have young ones (grandchildren) I don't get pissed as a newt like I did before children entered our world of parenthood.

  9. Once I get access to locked topics I'm gonna vandalise Messi's page. Lionel Messi is an Argentinian professional football player who plays for French club PSG in Ligue 1 and for Argentina national football team. Widely regarded as the greatest player of his era, after Cristiano Ronaldo.

  11. I’ve got three major events over consecutive weekends in October where I fear I’m gonna struggle… Football club awards night at the casino, bucks night and then wedding down in the countryside. Eeeeeek

  12. I didn’t drink the 4 weeks leading up to it and about 6 weeks after. I haven’t been drunk though since mid January. Still have a beer with dinner if I get time but yeah I do not wanna be hungover any time soon!

  13. You can celebrate after the big day buddy but if I remember right when the wife gave birth to our 2, after the birth(s), all the phone calls and knocks on the door with people congratulating us I was fucking knackered and just crashed out in bed until visiting time. I saved all the drinking time until after but even then it was only moderate drinking as we (me and the wife) went 50/50 in doing the parent bit, nightime would be my job making the baby bottle and changing the nappies that looked like stewed sausages in gravy and the wife would feed them and put them back in the cot. But it's times like that later on in years you look back at all that and it brings back nostalgic memories, nowadays our son & daughter are adults and have given us the 3 grandsons mentioned in here many a time and they have done the latter what me and the wife went through and even me and the wife have changed the nappies of the grandson's when they were babys, lol.

  15. Haha. In all seriousness I reckon you’d be a real romantic tbh. And would propose with the most care and heart any woman has ever seen. Then you’d shit in her closet.

  16. Thanks. Today I was standing in my living room, looking out of my window. Clear sky, full moon. Quite a romantic view. My girlfriend was sitting on the couch, and for a moment I thought, maybe I should get the ring out of the car. I would have to make up an excuse, like I forgot my wallet in the car or something. I considered it for quite a while until I realized that I don't have a girlfriend, nor a ring or a car.

  17. Marina worth her weight in Gold. You seen the current Gold price? Chelsea's £107m player sales this window: Abraham - £34m (in installments) Tomori - £25m Guehi - £18m Zappacosta £10 Livramento - £5m Moses - £4m Ugbo - £4m Bate - £1.5m Peart-Harris - £1.5m Ekwah - £1.5m* Simeu - £1.5m* Giroud - £900k Kenedy - 500k loan fee *depending on first-team achievements Plus numourous loan fees to be added once made public. I think she has done an amazing job with other players still looking for a new home or a place the run around at for a year.
