No...its not Puddin, its Tilly, the latters wee sister, we are looking after her over the Xmas period as her owners are off to Glasgow over the festive period, just as cuddly as Puddin though but a wee lady.

We've had victory laps before though followed by a step back. This is good news of course but this virus has mutated every few months in a way that has completely changed the risk profile. It does mean that England have probably made the right call this time, helped by the public increasing their personal levels of caution in the last few weeks, and Scotland and Wales have taken the plunge to the next level of restrictions a bit too quickly. It's cause for cautious optimism but that's the maximum I'll allow myself for the immediate future. Anyone celebrating this as if it's the end of the pandemic is equally as misguided as the perpetual doomsday crowd. Everyone reacts differently though. Some people feel the need to release their elation. Others are terrified of the beacon of hope in case it gets taken away from them again. The media we know are at least slightly biased towards bad news because it sells better for them, that part is what it is. There's a lot of psychology and emotional fatigue going on though, you can't expect everyone to always react the same as each other to each piece of news.

I've already seen all three of them, just many years ago... Personally, I think 2 and 3 were ok (even if as you said, not comparable to the original), but it's not something I want to waste my time on re-watching. I'm sure 4 will be alright too, mostly because I hardly have any expectations at all, and also because I rarely hate movies in general, anyway.

I can't help but wonder what a 'Director of Fairness' does and why it commands a 75k a year salary. I think it's right to question the necessity of these jobs considering it's taxpayers money that pays for it and, more importantly, it commands a salary roughly five times what a frontline nurse earns.

I'm no Tory, but the amount of pointless desk jobs doesn't help (e.g. I recently saw a role advertised for 'Director of Fairness' at 75k a year, around 5 times what a nurse earns). If another party was in charge they'd just throw money at the issue, meaning there'd be more desk jobs like this and very little (if any) of the money would actually filter through to front line care, and the front line care workers. Firstly someone needs to either make these pointless desk jobs obsolete or, probably more doable, cap any HR, administrative, etc.. desk jobs at no more than £30,000 p/a (more than generous). Once this is done, then investment is key because significantly more of the money will be going to help those on the front line.

To be honest I always go bed and breakfast or self catering but Egypt is pretty hard to find a resort that isn't all inclusive. I've been before and it was about the snorkeling for me. The food and drink were a second thought as I was desperate for my youngest daughter to see the coral and the sea life. Thankfully she managed that with me so it's still an experience shared. As for reviews, I doubt you'd find a single resort without food poisoning reviews, the place is riddled and I've now learned my lesson. I thought I was untouchable and as my mate said before I went, it's Russian roulette. I unfortunately took the bullet this time. Never again now though.

Netflix is racist. Watched 7 episodes from 10 of the first season of Snowpiercer. That's what's really hacked me off. Am into a few series and this shit keeps happening.

Harrowing to hear of the Deputy Headteacher at a school in Wigan was found to have committed child sexual abuse and raped a girl. As bad and tragic as that is, she was also a Safeguarding Lead. Someone who'd have known of the dangers and impact of such cruel and vile behaviour from adults on young children. And she was a perpetrator of it while being in an elevated level of trust. These humans are utterly vile. Depraved and disgusting.
