WEEKEND & MIDWEEK Here are the results from last weekends games and any of the midweek matches. If there was a drawn, you've remained where you are (tempted to make this a new rule at some point until you get hit 5 games with a team or something and then you'll get your choice - but for now it remains the same). @Rucksackfranzose was the early game last Friday and lost out to 3. Liga's Saarbrucken so now he moves there ahead of tomorrow's game. @RandoEFC moved to Barrow last weekend after they defeated Sutton. Barrow then went onto draw with Accrington so he now has a choice who to go with for this weekends match. @CaaC (John)'s Leeds journey ended with a 1-0 defeat to Birmingham last weekend. @Bluewolf still is yet to win a game, or see a goal for any of their sides, as Reading lost to Port Vale last weekend, and then Vale drew 0-0 with Blackpool. A draw and then a win for @londonerlilie means they remain with Wimbledon and pick up 4 points from the last 2 games. @Viva la FCB avoided an upset in DfB Pokal as St Pauli bagged a 5-0 win over lower league opposition, but it was @Tommy with a big 9-1 win that steals the spotlight this week. @Coma also won in the DfB Pokal so 3 points there as well. @Lucas didn't seem too thrilled at joining Gillingham but 2 wins in 2 games has grabbed him 6 points. A first win of the season for myself gets me off the mark with 3 points and I remain with Grenoble. @Stan and @Storts both continued a good start to the season with Leicester by adding a 1-0 win last weekend, and Ipswich winning 2-0 against Stoke to keep both of their 100% records in tact. Everybody now has at least a point on the board!

After I'm back I can go through the thousands of photos I'll have and can compress and post more. It's limited to 2mb per post and most of my phone pics are even bigger then that haha. Were only about 10 days in but so far man everyone needs to go here. Everywhere we go or turn is just beautiful. The food is amazing, my god the tomatoes and fruit just do not taste this good at home. The people are super friendly as well, very laid back. I just love it. I haven't travelled like this for quite a few years now but definitely my favourite trip already. I'll add in my one for today if I can here's Siracusa.

I have basically two negative things to say so far one about Italy in general and one comment about Naples. The smoking culture does kinda suck. They smoke nearly anywhere and everywhere outside. I'm definitely not used to it as this just hasn't been a thing in NA really for quite some time. Like cooks will come out and have a cigarette on the front steps of the restaurant kind of thing. It's just something to be aware of and takes a little getting used to. Now Naples. This i was warned about ahead of time and we only spent a day there but it was still shocking to see it. The garbage. First introduced taking a bus and as we go up the ramp onto the highway the sides and just littered with bags of garbage and trash. The shoulders on both sides of the highway just covered in trash. The city was better but still just garbage everywhere. We went to the main piaza for a half an hour break or so to rest in the shade. Theres a huge beautiful Roman esque era church with columns in like a half moon shape around the piaza centre that's covered with shops and whatnot you can walk in the shade under. We sat on the steps on one end in the shade as allot of people where doing. I saw at least two or three people just chuck empty water bottles and shit on the ground down the stairs. It's just so sad to see how some number of them don't care so it won't ever change. It's really sad because Naples was very interesting and cool otherwise. We did an underground tour in the evening of an ancient Roman Aqueducts, also had some WW2 stuff going on as well. Wandered the streets with all the Napoli stuff everywhere and visited a couple Maradona murals. Took a funicular up to a viewpoint of the entire city and the volcano in the background. Awesome pizza too... Best so far!

Just finishing up day two in Sicily/Catania. Today we spent the day in Taormina,beautiful place yet again. Tomorrow we are off to Syracusa and then off to Milan for three days. Tickets seemed to work out I'll know when were there but they look good now that they are delivered. We bought tickets to the opening match Inter vs Monza. I tried dealing with Inter's official site but I couldn't get a verification code without an Italian phone number and we wanted to get the tickets ahead of time. I tried emailing them but the time difference meant the tickets I wanted got taken two or three different times then they stopped responding. Bought through viagogo seemed a little sketchy so I half expected it not to work out but knock on wood so far so good for Saturday. Here's a shot from the city up top. Took a funicular down to the beach later which is roughly in the bottom right corner of the pic.

Oh my god I wish I had more time I wanted to see more of the Puglia area. We only had two nights but basically one full day in Assisi as our plane landed in Rome we went straight there by train. Yeah dirty is probably the best way to describe Naples. But yeah definitely didn't feel dodgy at all, people where great yet again. So we're going to Milan tomorrow morning for three days to Venice for one. Then to Florence for four and finish up in Rome for another four and fly out from there. I'm stoked. I was saying the same thing like three days in, I want to live here at some point. Granitas and Brioche where the bomb in Sicily, probably the big standout but yeah we've had so many good meals. Today might have been our best the calamari in Siracusa was amazing. We've got some good shit at home but IDK the was crack. I've actually been drinking more wine im clearly getting too fucking old but I'll try that beer recommendation, cheers.

That was my experience with Naples as well. I'd just come from Bari and Puglia, which was a great experience because I'd gotten loads of warnings about "oooh south of Italy's dodgy, lotsa crime there they'll target you as a tourist" and instead the only way I was targeted as a tourist was people seemed to go out of their way to be friendly as fuck to me. They loved that I spoke Italian badly lol, many of them were also I think looking for an opportunity to practice their English with English speakers too. But Bari's a beautiful and charming city, Puglia generally is a very beautiful region that's really great to visit. So going to Naples was a bit of a shock because it was definitely more of that "south of Rome" stereotype. But at the same time, it wasn't dangerous feeling or truly dodgy. It was just dirty. It was still a great city with lovely people in it and as you say... the pizza there is imo the best in the world. It's also got a lot to see for tourists - that Veiled Christ sculpture is so fucking impressive to see with your own eyes. For all the talk of it being a "high crime city" I got more grief from police at the train station (got stopped 3 times and asked to show my passport lol) than I got from any criminals. As an ex-smoker, I will say... when I'm in Italy, I just smoke because fuck it everyone else is doing it - but I don't have kids yet or anyone to be a good example to. Just irritates my wife a bit... until she gets drunk enough to ask for a cigarette. I love Italy though, I want to go back as often as I can... and when I retire, I'd absolutely love to live there. Rome's probably my favourite city in the world. Florence is also an incredible place. And honestly, I fell in love with Bari while I was there. And @Coma when you go, try to get as many of the city/regional specialty dishes as you can. Italy is truly a great place for food and cities and regions have their own meals that really just stand out as absolutely fucking delicious. Also drink lots of Peroni. Not the Nastro Azzuro, but the one that has the red label on the bottle.

The extra thing about the food, I've heard from other people that have visited before as well but I can now confirm it first hand. My fiancee is lactose back home, she can eat aged cheeses but that's basically it. She has gone full out here with absolutely no issue at all. Ice cream, milk, cream, cheeses, all the sauces, you name it no problems. Just has to be the processing of all our shitty stuff back home.

Italy is absolutely beautiful so far. I wish I had made it here sooner tbh. So far we've done Assisi, Salerno/Amalfi coast, Capri and today in Pompeii. Tomorrow off to Naples for one night before heading to Catania. Just saw that Mount Etna erupted and closed the Catania airport and holy shit on that timing. The pictures are nuts, thankfully theyre set to open the airport tomorrow at 6 am so we should be fine for the day after. Apparently there hasn't been a major eruption since 92 that is some crazy stuff. Didn't take alot of pics on my phone and apparently I can't upload more then one they too big but here's one from Capri. Took a funicular up part way up the mountain and then a chairlift. Insane views of the entire island.

I will definitely try the Gelato place and report back. The steakhouse my fiancee was already talking about one, she's on the Instagrams and stuff I wonder if it's the same, she said they're massive and we have to share it The uffizi gallery and David are booked especially being high season we made sure to have that ready. Appreciate the recommendations I'll pass that along as well for Rome. We've basically just been looking up reviews and ratings of where were at when we're hungry, it's turned out pretty great so far but I would love something a little special especially near the end. We booked the Vatican city and colosseum but I think that's basically it. The rest is mostly open.

4 days in Florence is great. Get gelato from La Strega Nocciola. Best gelato I've had in my life. Also eat at a Fiorentine steak house... I'll have to look up the place I went to. I basically ate myself into needing a good long sleep there though It's also worth checking out the Uffizi, going to see Michelangelo's David with your own eyeballs, and Il Duomo. Ending on Rome's probably the best way to end a trip to Italy. Like I said, my favourite city in the world. There's so much to do and see there, and so many brilliant places to eat. Off the top of my head though, Ristorante Dai Miei is a place I'll always eat at when I go to Rome for as long as it's open. That's the best food I've had in my entire fucking life. The wife and husband that own and run the place are fucking great as well. Definitely go there and eat like an Italian getting all the courses they've got to offer, have her pair your food with the wines she recommends. I'm now starving and jealous, I want to go too.

This German movie looks quite interesting It is based on the autobiographical book "Wir Wochenendrebellen" by Mirco and Jason von Juterczenka It is about the journey of a father and his autistic son to find the latter's favourite German football team by visiting all 56 teams in their respective stadiums. Visiting all 56 1-3. Liga stadiums sounds like @Coma's dream. Seems like they filmed in most if not all stadiums as well. I definitely recognised ours, and they are wearing Düsseldorf scarfs.

The FA are a mockery of themseleves. Crying their eyes out because of betting when half the shirt sponsors have just that. Everyone is at it too, I was told months ago that Jordan Henderson would be leaving Liverpool, it has been planned absolutely ages ago.

Look further into Domestic Abuse stats and patterns of behaviour and sadly it's not as messed up as you think. There could be so many other factors and sadly it really isn't as easy as just leaving him. Women are 70x more likely to be killed by their abuser within the first two weeks of leaving them. It's a controlling behaviour of the abuser to make their life hell, but manipulate the victim to thinking their life would be worse if they left the relationship. We can all make assumptions of the motivations for her decisions, but we probably only know the tip of the iceberg when it comes to the actual relationship between the two. That's not to say in any way that I am defending Greenwood here - just that one transcript of what happened in one of the incidents is harrowing, disturbing and downright disgraceful. It's horrendous and no words will probably ever portray just how bad his behaviour is/was. But it's all too common with abusers almost forcing the DA victim to remain in the relationship. It's incredibly hard to leave, and that's without kids involved. So the fact she's having his baby just adds another layer.
