But we cannot think like that we have to try our hardest to get a result we are to near the bottom 3 for any toon fans liking. No doubt we will be defensive and hope to score on the counter or a set play it's horrible to watch but I don't blame Rafa. We have such limited options going forward. Hopefully we will frustrate Chelsea an early goal for them would be a nightmare they only won at our place due to a contentious penalty and an own goal. Firstly it has been revealed in court that years ago the Mike Ashley blew the chance to sell the club to the now owners of Man City by making insulting remarks about Islam, the Dubai royal family and Kevin Keegan. The Times have revealed today that Dennis Wise is working as an advisor for Mike Ashley. He has not only met club hierarchy to offer advice but he has also been asking his contacts to make pro-Ashley statements in the media. We need to invest to get into it but he needs to use his contract situation as leverage to get that. He won't get it out of any sort of hierarchy desire to compete in the top 10. Since January only Liverpool, Man City, Man Utd and Arsenal have picked up more points than us so Mike Ashley will probably say we don't need any more and we can have Rondon permanent and that's it, sell to buy. Benitez, 59, is out of contract at the end of June but has been offered a new deal by Newcastle owner Mike Ashley. So far he has been unable to agree a deal and it is becoming increasingly likely Benitez will leave St James' Park after just over three seasons. The Spaniard is also linked with a move to succeed Maurizio Sarri at Chelsea. Benitez remains one of the favourites to replace Sarri but Frank Lampard is the overwhelming favourite for the job. Benitez had an uneasy relationship with the Chelsea fans when he was in interim charge of the club during the 2012-13 season. There is a chance Benitez may decide not to go to China and wait for another offer - from Newcastle or elsewhere. However, the lure of China may be too much given the vast sums on offer. Dalian have won only three of their 13 league games so far this season under South Korean coach Choi Kang-hee. Newcastle were relegated after Benitez arrived at the club in March 2016 but the former Liverpool boss guided them to promotion as Championship winners the following season.
