Subscriber CaaC (John)+ Posted February 9, 2020 Subscriber Posted February 9, 2020 To think these 2 have been around for 80 years or more. Tom & Jerry
True Blue Posted February 10, 2020 Posted February 10, 2020 I loved Tom and Jerry as a child, even the kids now days enjoy it as it is fun.
Machado Posted February 10, 2020 Posted February 10, 2020 Back then before everything was on the internet you wouldn't know when this was airing on cartoon network so I'd stay the whole day in front of the tv waiting for this to pop up.
Moderator Tommy Posted February 10, 2020 Moderator Posted February 10, 2020 Love the old ones. Tom was always misunderstood. He was just doing his job.

I really like and appreciate the ones drawn by hand. I remember in the early 90's in Germany Tom & Jerry was only allowed to air at a certain evening time because it was seen as "too violent" for kids.

I mean I don't regularly watch it haha but whenever I accidentally caught some new-ish episodes on TV in the past few years they still seem to have stayed true to the style and the new animation doesn't look too wonky. Completely opposite to what they've done to the new Duck Tales. Loved it as a child and tried to watch the reboot but the visuals are just weird

I have watched a trailer now, and thanks.

The first cartoon in the cartoon series Tom and Jerry. Tom and Jerry had originally been are named Jasper and Jinx, but later viewers chose other names for the famous duo - Tom & Jerry Edit: You can see the 3-minute version in the link below as Youtube would not allow me to post the video as a share in here. https://youtu.be/oiHulAQmdqI
Cicero Posted February 11, 2020 Posted February 11, 2020 They have them speaking now which completely ruins it for me. Far prefer them silent. Made their beef all the more intense

Rick Posted February 11, 2020 Posted February 11, 2020 The original thanksgiving episode where Tom is running around in a Native American headdress is my favourite of all time. Still has me howling.

Still has me howling. An absolute classic. Probably one of my favorites as well. Spike’s dog house was my favorite particularly the ending scene when they tricked Tom. Had me in stitches
Dr. Gonzo Posted February 11, 2020 Posted February 11, 2020 Who doesn't love Tom & Jerry? It's pretty crazy that a cartoon that's so old has been entertaining kids for almost a century. Definition of a classic.

Rick Posted February 11, 2020 Posted February 11, 2020 That’s the one. I’m going to have to go back and watch these, absolute classics.

Azeem Posted February 12, 2020 Posted February 12, 2020 I loved the episode where Jerry and his nephew froze the whole kitchen and start skating and that episode where Tom needed Jerry to sign a paper to forgive him unless he goes to hell used to scare me
