TALKING POINT

Bravo fails to impress. Claudio Bravo was back in goal for Man City, after some blamed Willy Caballero for the goals they conceded in midweek, but the Chilean did little to silence his doubters. His distribution will no doubt have pleased Pep Guardiola but, having had little to do all afternoon, he was at fault for Hull’s consolation goal and still looks poor when it comes to his fundamental task of stopping shots.

MAN OF THE MATCH

Raheem Sterling (Manchester City): Against opposition who were content to try and frustrate them, Man City needed some individual magic and it was Sterling who provided that for the crucial second goal. He also teed up Delph for his goal and was the best player on the pitch, given licence to drift inside with Hull unable to get close to him all afternoon.

PLAYER RATINGS

Manchester City: Bravo 6, Clichy 6, Stones 7, Kolarov 6, Navas 6, Toure 6, Delph 7, Silva 6, Sterling 8, Sane 6, Aguero 6. Subs: Fernando 6, Nolito 5, Iheanacho 5.

Hull City: Jakupovic 6, Robertson 6, Dawson 6, Ranocchia 6, Elmohamady 5, Grosicki 6, N’Diaye 6, Clucas 6, Markovic 5, Evandro 5, Niasse 5. Subs: Hernandez 5, Maloney 6, Henriksen 5.

Fuckin Bravo    ....Pep lost the title when he sent Hart packing without seeing if Bravo could handle this level

Liverpool's kids are terrible. About time Jurgen realises this.

He's been reluctant to use them in league games all season until now. It is obvious we need more depth.

Got away with that today. Coutinho and Firmino on the bench obviously helped us and Mignolet pulled off a couple of good saves.

What is it with Spurs cringe goal celebrations?

Jesus Christ it's enough to make you puke.

Spurs are the utd of the South mate  ..best thing that could happen to them would be for HRH Prince Mansour to buy them in secret and sell, Rose, Walker and Ali to us

On our game:

2 things happened today that you need to happen to be successful.

The first was that our substitutions made an impact and the second was that our goalkeeper got us the three points.

Migs was outstanding today.

I couldn't be doing with Ali's goal celebrations. It's becoming very annoying.

Hahahaha why would you get annoyed by their celebrations? Love how much it seems to rile some fans.

Great team spirit, love to see it. What a team

It's cringe and you know it. If Arsenal players did the big dab, slap hands dance every time they scored you'd be all over it xD

Woodburn is 17 years old! What were you expecting?

Apart from that he had a pretty good game! He's a fantastic talent and he's got the perfect manager to develop him.

What other 'kids' are you talking about?

Saying they are terrible is not only wrong, it's laughable.

Cringe maybe but hardly annoying. Love the togetherness of the squad

Firmino's goal was Vardy v Liverpool all over again.

Mignolet's done brilliantly in that game. How the hell Stoke have managed to miss that chance where there's about three of them lining up to shoot from 5 yards out I have no idea.

TAA, Ojo, Stewart, Ejaria, Randall. Any one other than Gomez who's had a kick for the first team. All shite.

Woodburn doesn't look ready. Nice he got that goal against Leeds but stick him back down his level with the kids so he can develop. Not gonna do it much getting hauled off after 45.

They ought to get rid of them all and start again.

He's right in that none of them are ready and we need some major work to add depth to the squad whether we finish in the top four or not

He's not right at all. They might not be ready for first 11 football but they are far from shite. Woodburn at 17 years old is an exceptional talent as is TAA.

I agree that they're not shite, probably a little overrated by some of our fans but not shite.
