Whiteclaw, Fizz, cruisers, little fat lamb.
Nah it's plenty for a night out, especially when you look like her. A mate of mine ran into her in Byron about 3 months ago, and his mate bought her drinks all night and smashed her rotten. She belongs to the streets. I literally picked her up just working at the bottleshopxD

I would absolutely fuck the same chick raw and catch the clap again. Honestly once I figured out that I had it, and got tested, it took a week of antibiotics, and the symptoms were gone in like 2 days

I think the main issue for fans is less the argument about who was better and it's more who did you connect with? As a kid I had Gerrard on my England top, I think his style of play was more romanticised. Those driving shots, cross field passes of his just had you drawn in, you'd never pretend to be Frank Lampard as a kid when you was playing football unless you supported Chelsea. I think Gerrard probably had more natural talent which is why I think when you look at his big moments they seemed so much greater, but I think Lampard was the better player overall and generally more consistent with his quality. Chelsea did have great players but he didn't really seem to need great players to play great himself, which I think goes against the argument of Gerrard played in a lesser team.

If you told me that I was about to manage a team in a cup final and I could pick one of them, I'd pick Gerrard.

If you told me I was going to manage a team over a few years and I could pick one of them, I'd pick Lampard.

This is mostly spot-on.

Talking about the average football fan's opinion on this debate.

If I were to pay to watch one at the peak and you take away my Chelsea loyalties, I'd probably pay to watch Gerrard but there has always existed this romanticism with Gerrard that he does everything and he's like that heavy metal type player and his big moments have always been more recallable and more prominent in general football fans minds. I'm not saying that this romanticism is unjustified but it rightly or wrongly influences a lot of people's opinions.

What is more, Gerrard's style of play is easily more noticeable on the pitch, it's direct, it's got the drive, it's diving into a tackle one minute, then taking the ball up the pitch the next to set up a goal, he's doing everything. Lampard's style was always more composed and controlled but his influence still reached the same heights, it was more technical in some ways. Gerrard's style would appeal more to most football fans, particularly on British shores because it represents a lot of the things that British football fans can relate to, heart on your sleeve type play, 100mph and in line with what I mentioned above. As Danny said, if I wanted to choose a player to play like on the pitch as a kid, it would be Gerrard.

However, I think people at times are sucked in too much by the romanticism and hype that surrounded Gerrard as a player and it, in turn, devalues Lampard and this debate a little, when it comes to the overall consistency of both players and their careers as a whole. I think at times, the debate gets lost and becomes too centred around style, stylistic choices and who you prefer to watch rather than who's better?

Lampard got a lot of hype, credit and plaudits as a player but the hype that surrounded Gerrard in most cases got escalated more and it was more pronounced. When Gerrard did something good, it got hyped a lot in the media, if Lampard did something good, it got hyped a lot as well but generally never to the same extent. When both players were at the peak of their powers, I remember watching Lampard doing things on the pitch and thinking if Gerrard had done those things, the hype and plaudits would be more prominent. The hype generated around players definitely influences a lot of people's opinions.

In most cases, for the average football fan, Gerrard is preferred because of the things above. Overall, at times, with Gerrard, the hype, media attention, the romanticism, the recallable moments, and playing style bear too much weight in these debates. They are of course factors that should be considered but they overpower the discussion too much at times when it comes to the overall consistency and influence of both players in their careers which excuse me if I'm wrong, is what this debate has always been about, no?

Would be a bit like me saying George Best is overrated or so I was told, when I never saw him play and @CaaC (John) telling me to go give my head a wobble and have a massive chat with myself xD

The latter then go and see a psychiatrist who will get your head sorted out and you will have dreams about bestie and how he became one of the greatest. :coffee:

Not only was Gerrard a better player than Lampard... he's a better manager too!

Don't know about the better player as I think they were both good in different ways but seeing Gerrard is the Rangers manager and he has won us the league up here I will agree with you there, and saying that what I have mentioned before maybe if Lampard headed up this way to the management bit (Celtic maybe?) he will get more experience, just like Gerrard for when he eventually tries his luck elsewhere (EPL?).

Yes, because a super close decision between 2 great players, both legends for a rival club, they must be on the wind up.

Have a word with yourself.

Not sure I’m buying the argument around Lampard having the luxury of top players around him. During Gerrard’s most successful period he was partnered by one of the best centre midfielders around in Xabi Alonso. Lampard by far the most intelligent, and the most versatile, had the nous to make late runs and finish clinically as well as sit deep and intercept to break up attacks. Gerrard was very good, but overrated in comparison, based on a few big game moments.

Lampard more versatile?

Gerrard played in 5 - 6 positions throughout his career to a ridiculously high standard.

Lampard played the same position throughout his career bar the odd game.

Look, both were great players but Gerrard was one of the most wanted footballers on the planet. Real Madrid, Bayern Munich, Chelsea all made bids and even Alex Ferguson admitted trying to sign him for Utd (which was never going to happen).

This is the problem with debates like this. People will start making ridiculous arguments to try and make their point.

Frank was at Chelsea, who at the time of his prime were in the top 2/3 richest clubs in world football, how can he be in demand realistically in that climate?, nobody would even try, with Liverpool it was different. Lampard was indeed versatile and could adapt to the millions of managers and systems seemingly thrown at him. It was his all round intelligence as a player which stands out the most to me and why I’d have him ahead of Stevie G but not by much.

Fair enough mate.

Gerrard played under a few managers himself thinking about it!?!

Gerrard Houllier, Rafa Benitez, Roy Hodgson (uurrgghh), Kenny Dalglish and finally Brendan Rodgers.

Didn't Carlos the current Everton manager move Lampard from central midfield to an more advanced midfield role? From what I remember, he just moaned about all season.

Remember something like that yeah. Gerrard played RB, Right Wing, Box to Box, Deep Liying, Number 10 and never batted an eyelid... Frank played 10 yard further forward for a season and cried like a bitch 😢
