The ball is miscontrolled and going out for a goal kick. His hand changed the direction of the ball allowing him to cross the ball. If that’s a defender, it’s a penalty.

If its anywhere on the pitch its a handball. Don't get why it should be different in the box.

I find that decision absolutely absurd and yet another symptom of the overanalysis and overcorrection that's taken place in the last few years.

If that's a defender they'd give the penalty. It's lunacy.
