Is it? he's 100 and even at his best ever was a squad player for decent teams.

Yes, excellent signing for us. To get some more experience in the squad, a good mentor for Sessegnon and he had a superb season for Inter. Will slot in nicely at LWB.

Don't see anything wrong with this deal at all. The bloke is 34 but he's well conditioned and still going well. He isn't being brought in to play a 38 game season, but he will play a big part, especially Champions League.

His experience will be massive. We are talking about someone that has won the Bundesliga and Serie A, not to mention, played a World Cup Final. He is a winner.

And it's not just that either, it's about installing a winning mentality at Spurs. Players used to winning the big things who know what it takes and can help give belief to the others that are relatively used to failure. They haven't won anything for years, it's really time that changed.

Having seen the affect Thiago Silva had on Chelsea too, I feel like its a no lose situation for Spurs.

Bastoni, much like Barella, won't leave Italy.

We sure about that?

Italians historically seldom leave Italy - but that's also something we've seen when the Serie A was a bigger league that had more money than it does now. Leaving Italy would sometimes kill their chances of making the national team - I'm not so sure that's true anymore considering Jorginho excelling for Italy in the Euros while playing his club football at Chelsea.

Spurs have money and under Conte he'd be a massive player for them, if they offer him enough money I'm sure he'd at least seriously consider it. Playing at Spurs is a step down from Inter, but if the money is good - I think playing in the prem will still get him called up for Italy and he'd be content to get big money in a competitive league.

And I think because he's enjoyed success under Conte, he probably believes in Spurs' project to try to win something with Conte while they still have Kane and Son. They're not that far away from assembling a pretty strong side, imo.

It's been reported his preference is to remain in Italy, much like Barella. Strikes me as another Italian footballer where he does not want to trade his culture and lifestyle for a move to England.

Not too sure about this Conte project however as we both know he will be gone in 18 months.

Which is fully understandable. If I lived in Italy, I'd want to keep living in Italy.

Good player and can pull something special out the bag, even if inconsistently. Wouldn't expect him to be too much of a key figure for Tottenham but a good option, especially in European competition. Worked with Conte before which helps as well. Not a game changing addition but maybe a smart addition.

Inter want him out though. They need the money
