Administrator Stan Posted July 2, 2017 Administrator Share Posted July 2, 2017 UEFA have revealed the clubs with the highest levels of debt in Europe, with two Premier League and two Championship teams involved among the European elite. Plenty of heavyweight outfits are laden with huge debt despite the enormous cash being injected into the game. All of the clubs ranked by UEFA are struggling with over £110 million worth of debt despite financial fair play regulations attempting to curb costs. But despite spiralling costs, clubs at the top show no sign of slowing down their immense spending, while others have huge assets to cash in. Guest
Thats cute. Universitario are 200M dollars in debt as a Peruvian club without financial super powers that some of these clubs have.
6666
QPR and Sunderland being in there shows how poorly they're being run.
Subscriber JoshBRFC+ Posted July 2, 2017 Subscriber Share Posted July 2, 2017 How are Benfica 2nd? The money they receive off transfers is unreal. Off the top of my head they've received hundreds of millions in recent years for their players.

Honey Honey
A chunk of Sunderland's debt is to their owner. If it was all to a proper creditor then they'd be the next Portsmouth/Leeds.
SirBalon
I said this about Manchester United's debt some months back and Klass (on the other forum) slated me for it. I have no idea how that can be possible but it is weird.

And by the time the summer is out, you'd think Monaco would be at least down to half given potential player sales.

Probably corruption, they like Porto and Sporting buy lots of youngsters from here for around 3/10M and then they sell them for 25/45M a few years later, i bet they made about a billion doing that in the last 10/15 years. Fairy In Boots
They're horrifically mismanaged or at least were several years back, also regarding players, chances are they don't own the players themselves, it's all third party ownership, Benfica among others in the Iberian Peninsula are as we English like to say "dodgy as fuck". Most European clubs with young South Americans & African on their books are pretty much people trafficking at this point.
DNA
I see Chelsea & Man-city have been 'taken care of' by their respective owners. Surprised with the PSG & Monaco predicaments though.
