after north korea  here comes his tariff on steel against china.

China's actually the 15th largest steel exporter to the United States. The tarrifs would make more of an impact on steel exporting from: Canada, Brazil, South Korea (ironic), Mexico, Russia (also ironic), Turkey, Japan, Germany, Taiwan (I guess technically that's China though... but it's partially recognised as separate), and India - in that order. Those are the top 10. It would be more damaging to close US allies and trade partners and the American consumers - so of course that's the policy he's pushing.

that's just how the US works.   they take in raw materials from these countries, manufacture them in america, print in MADE IN USA and sell them back with higher prices.     shrewd.

So a day after Sec State Tillerson came out backing Britain's response to Russia's nerve agent attacks, he's been sacked.

Any vision of our future that is based on America being any kind of an ally to us needs to be scrapped ASAP.

Yeah, such a disgrace.

He's set to be replaced by Mike Pompeo, the current CIA director and a man who was formerly a big time Tea Party congressman. Fuck knows what damage he's done to the CIA, but his Tea Party past indicates he's a right wing extremist. Rex Tillerson did a lot in the way of castrating the State Department and slowing the US's diplomatic operations (a huge number of State department positions remain unfilled). I suspect Mike Pompeo will be looking to carry on this mission as well as continuing to refrain from enforcing the sanctions on Russia or refusing to even make any comment on Russia's belligerence.

Russia using a military grade nerve agent in the UK is something that the UK must respond to, and it's something that NATO should not take lightly at all. Although it's incredibly likely the US will do all it can to avoid having to do anything to upset Putin. Britain should: 1.) Expel all Russian diplomats, at very least; 2.) Target Oligarch money & prevent Oligarchs from accessing their real property in the UK; 3.) Strip RT of it's broadcasting licenses, no more Russian state propaganda on British shores.

I Think this exodus of more establishment aligned minds from the administration spells interesting times ahead for the US.

Hopefully no more supreme court justices die in the next few years because trumps picks there will serve for life.

The Dow Jones has taken a beating over fears of trade wars brewing after Trump's $50b tarrifs on China. So here's something he can finally take credit for in the stock market :congrats:- well other than the tech stock fears given the Cambridge Analytica-Facebook scandal.

His lead attorney in the Russia probe has also stepped down.

Meanwhile, Joe Biden and Trump are talking about how fucking tough they'd be and how they could beat the shit out of each other. But they're both a bunch of soft cunts who dodged the Vietnam war, so my guess is they're both a bunch of fannies. The idea of a big fat guy with bone spurs saying he would fight another man is pretty funny. But pretty shocking these are political leaders tbh, they're an embarrassment.

His personal lawyer's house and office were raided by the FBI yesterday. And a Trump interviewed and appointed US attorney had to approve the raid. So he's had a meltdown.

Can’t trust your everyday journalist to announce something as important as WWIII... Nothing better than a confused President that has arguments with himself on social media. xD

I think it's not him arguing with himself, but rather the staff at the White House chasing him down, taking his phone and posting completely different tweets in order to do some damage control xD

That actually does sound quite logical although in today’s crazy times I’m willing to believe anything!!! Hahaha

Sometimes it seems like we're just in a badly written show.

It’s definitely his most ridiculous tweet to date. I was sure he’d win a second term, I think if he gets America tangled up in Syria a significant portion of his base will evaporate because he definitely benefitted from the apathy toward democrat Neo Con’s

Democrat Neo Cons like John Bolton, who's now serving in his 3rd republican presidential administration? A literal architect of the Iraq war that led to the growth and spread of ISIS. Let's not pretend like people like John McCain, and other war hawks, aren't predominantly part of the party that pushed the US and UK into Iraq (the republican party).

I also don't know why it's a surprise that a president who's wanted a military parade in his honour, who's asked why he can't drop nuclear weapons on his enemies, and with some of his first actions as president to send navy seals into Yemen & drop the MOAB on Afghanistan, might want to wag the dog when he's mired in scandal. And make no mistake, this is a president mired in scandal. From his dodgy associates who've pled guilty to defrauding the United States, or are being charged by Bob Mueller, to his cabinet members brazen waste of taxpayer money, his violation of the emoluments clause, to whether or not he used campaign funding to bribe a porn star, or the suspicions behind Russia.

Has a president ever lost an election while a war is waging? Bush Sr. lost after the Gulf War ended before his reelection. I wouldn't be surprised if a notorious war hawk like John Bolton is giving Trump tips on how to survive his first term. And what better way to take pressure off an investigation into whether he's a Russian puppet by threatening starting World War 3 over Syria with Russia? Although 40 minutes later, he did bemoan how we don't have better relations with Russia.

So much of what Trump said or stood for in the election was just red meat for the populist base. There was no plan for providing a better healthcare system than Obamacare with a "essentially simultaneous" repeal and replace. It's become clearly apparent that Trump has no means of getting Mexico to pay for a wall, so now the American taxpayers are being asked to pay for an expensive (and unnecessary) wall. I'd like to mention, there currently is a border wall. And the whole playing up fears of Hillary being a war hawk all seems to be hilarious projection with the appointment of John Bolton as the national security advisor. Helping the middle American blue collar workers? Nah, they're all about to get hit with tariffs as a result of his (incredibly fucking stupid) trade war proposals. Evangelical support for him was also laughable, and remains laughable.

The fact that any of his base remains behind him is a testament to the power of belief over observation. They believe he won't let them down because they don't want to believe they've been conned - but all evidence suggests they've been conned.

Looks like he's considering breaking another campaign promise, a big one too. He wants the US to rejoin TPP.

The funny thing is the Trump supporters that now support it, despite this being a major campaign point.

Trumpers: wtf, I love globalism now!

Many people on both sides vote for notions rather than policies.

For most its trumps bombast and political correctness that they love. They don't think about policy details and view every policy as something they dont understand and will assume the worst about it unless it comes from trump.

Its becoming fairly clear that many of them are beyond reason and would still support trump even if he murdered Mueller, enslaved the country and at his next state of the union said nothing and literally just stood there beating off.

Again, the following two posts after it, was from two different admins, what a coincodence that both didn't spot it. But hey, ive been dealing with this type of double standards all my life, nothing new.

Some dumb cunt on here made a bigoted post actually directed at me and it was in a pretty active thread for that week with at least one mod posting in it, but it went virtually unnoticed until I broke forum rules in the process of calling out the stupid cuntishness. Better to just report it right when you see it and explain why exactly it's so fucked up (although in your case, it's pretty clear... beaners is a slur). If it's done too late after the fact, it's hard for them to police. And if you take matters into your own hands in calling it out, you can sort of ruin threads for other people who don't want to see that kind of negative shite. Best to report it, even if adminds or mods did/could/should have seen it before calling out a double standard.
