Your defenders cant handle him, it was the midfield stopping the ball getting to him, that's the only way any team can stop him

There was coming togeathers between Haaland Shaw. I reckon Haaland may have seen Shaw as the weak link and peeled off onto him because he isn't a natural CB. I felt like Shaw won the

Physical battle with him. It helps having a big firm arse which is hard to get round. Seedof has a similar bum to Shaw which used to hold off players.

I think Haaland could rape all your defenders at the same time if they met down a dark alley

So jokes about rape are meant to be funny...?

On a serious note, I’d be pissed if that was against us. They say play to the whistle but the defender clearly sees Rashford offside so gives up. It’s not like Citeh have ever benefitted from dodgy offside secondary phase rules though is it? Fuck em. A win is a win, but added controversy and shithousery always makes it better.

Atmosphere was the best I’ve experienced in a long, long time. Casemiro going into the crowd as well. He just gets it. The disconnect with the fans is slowly dissipating. The manager knows what he’s doing. We won’t win anything this year (just a feeling) but there’s been a turning point. Football is watchable again.

Does Haaland actually make City worse?

I don't think he makes City worse but sooner or later managers and players can find a way to stop him, it's not that he is another Messi or Ronaldo at dribbling, Luke Shaw or ET Hag had a plan to stop him and it worked I guess.

Stopping the ball coming to him is how you stopped him, it's the only way. if our midfield plays crap he doesn't get any service, if we are playing well he will rip you a new arse hole like he did at the Etihad

He doesn't really contribute much other than being dangerous in the box, which... yeah if you can cut service to him, like you've done, he doesn't really do anything to help City up. It just seems weird that City have gone from a club that used to be a goal threat from seemingly everywhere to now a side that are pretty reliant on one guy for most of their goals.

That's one ex refs opinion, I have seen others from ex refs who say according to the rule the right decision was made.

Rashford didn't touch the ball, he didn't try to shoot, he never interfered with any City defender trying to get to the ball and he didn’t block Ederson's sight lines.

I have been thinking this through.

Obviously any side would be annoyed by a goal like that against. The usual interpretation of not interfering is when a player is heading back away from goal, or a clear player clearly leaving it for another runner. Rashford was interfering with play.

The only possible way you could try to put it on Man City's own head is that while 1 defender had very much played for offside, Fernandes was still allowed to be 1st to the ball. By the other centre back as much if not as obviously as Rashford. A 2nd centre back assisting playing for offside effectively in that situation would have been going for the ball. Rashford would not have been able to pass it on to Fernandes. And an individual interpretation of the rules does allow for what happened to happen. It does also partly make me think of the play to the whistle saying.

Ronaldo at United last season, when he had a little bit left in his legs. The season before Rashford, Martial and Fernandes scored buckets full.

Ronaldo comes, it's about feeding him, he wasn't as youthful as Haaland so we suffered and it destroyed any sort of team we were. Killed off Ole as well.

Now look since he's gone. We're popping up with goals from everyone again.

City are far better than we were, they will destroy sides but I get your point. City are better as a team with a man that can hold the ball up and bring others into play.

I don't care what anybody says (City supporters mainly) Agüero shits all over him as a striker, you could keep Agüero quiet for a spell but that guy would always pop up and score goals out of the blue, a bit like United's Ruud van Nistelrooy from his playing days.
