Doesn't Seri have some sort of foot condition where they swell up in cold weather or some silly shite like that? Quite a few English teams were interested in him last summer - he seemed to be holding out for Barca. He looks like a good player, so if that foot condition thing is bollocks he'd most likely improve Chelsea.

I still don't know why Chelsea signed Drinkwater or Barkley.

Aside finding a new manager, finding a proper midfield partner for Kante should be a priority.

I'd keep Barkley. Think he can do a job for us similar to Joe Cole.

If I had no fingers, I'd still be able to use my hands to count the number of times I've been impressed with Ross Barkley. I don't know what people see in him.

Now that would be some proper business. Replace Drinkwater with Seri

I've seen a bit of Seri and he's nothing special. Overrated player who can easily be beat by a good holding midfielder.

No UCL football next season will make things tough for you, but I think there's better than Seri.

I beg to differ... Jean Seri is a brilliant player and one who's world came tumbling down last summer due to the last minute cancelled move to Barcelona. I've also seen a lot of him and have discounted much of what I've seen this season, but if his confidence can be pumped up again he can play for anyone.

We will see next season if he's actually good or if he was a one season wonder, but just based on what I've seen I've not been impressed. Kind of similar to the whole Belotti issue from last year.

I’m with you Brian - I actually don’t rate Seri anywhere near as highly as others clearly, always let me down when I’ve watched him, just think he’d be another one to struggle in the Prem coming from France

Reports breaking that we’ve agreed a deal for Real Madrid’s Dani Ceballos.

Thoughts @SirBalon

Remember I told you mate... I'd love him to come to Arsenal.... He's a brilliant young player with a big projection.  Although with what you guys have already got,  he'd be a brilliant addition.

If true it lends a lot more credence to the Neves stuff, although it's a lot more of an unknown player though. Buying from Napoli is hard though, they almost always get themselves a good deal. Citeh are always in a position of power if they want one of their players imo.

Klopp’s hit rate with transfers is getting so good that I’m not even arsed who we sign anymore. I like that if he doesn’t get his wanted targets he’ll buy nobody.

Loads were moaning when we didn’t sign an alternative to VVD and Keita, but he waited and got them in the end.

Thats how we should do business!

Real Madrid ‘willing to put up’ £70m for Manchester City’s ‘best young player’ Sane

According to Don Balon, Real Madrid president Florentino Perez is ‘willing to put up’ £70m this summer to procure the signature of Manchester City winger Leroy Sane, whom is regarded as the ‘best young player in the world

The report stats Los Blancos are having difficulty landing Mohamed Salah from Liverpool, so they’re casting their net out a little further for a replacement for Gareth Bale. The Welsh international is being tipped to leave Real at the end of the season after losing the confidence of head coach Zinedine Zidane

Real Madrid target FOUR Manchester City title-winners with the Blues’ stance clear

Real Madrid are interested in signing FOUR of Manchester City’s double-winning team in the summer transfer window, according to Stuart Brennan of the Manchester Evening News.

As they look to rebuild their squad in an attempt to challenge La Liga champions-elect Barcelona next season, Los Blancos are expected to spend heavily in the summer and their targets include Kevin De Bruyne, Raheem Sterling, Leroy Sané and John Stones it is reported. Liverpool’s PFA Player of the Year Mo Salah is also on their wish-list.

City’s stance is clear – they will refuse any approach and tell Real Madrid that none of the players are available at any price, similar to the case with Sergio Aguero who has been trailed by Real Madrid for years since his arrival in Manchester.

Good relations exist between Man City and Real Madrid, largely centered around a friendship between Sheikh Mansour and Florentino Perez which extends to business arrangements outside of football, and as such City have never had to deal with any aggressive approaches from Real Madrid, or vice versa.

As City Watch revealed in November, the Spanish giants did contract Patrick De Koster, the agent of De Bruyne, to register their interest in signing the Belgian. His position was clear – he didn’t want to leave Manchester City and later agreed a new deal.

Pep Guardiola wants few changes to his squad this summer, with the current plans being to bring in only two major additions – a holding midfielder, likely to be Napoli’s Jorginho, and a world-class forward who can play out wide and through the middle. A centre-back has also been speculated, but doesn’t seem to be a priority, with Guardiola still having faith in Stones despite reports that he could be put up for sale.

Two Spanish players in that team? REAL MADRID!!! :o

Isco won’t be there if Zidane remains coach. So it all depends kn whether or not Madrid win the Champions League.

We are making a 30 million offer for Seri.

I see our low balling methods haven't gone away.

It's ironic that Chelsea are now low balling... because the reason you signed Salah over us is because we refused to increase our initial bid... even though Basel said it wasn't enough. Chelsea bid enough to make Basel say "alright then" and then (supposedly) asked us to match it to which we responded "lol fuck off" and proceeded to then buy Salah a few years later for more.

I guess in hindsight though we ended up paying for a much more developed Salah than the one you had and he was signed for a first team role, whereas back then he probably would have been on the fringes of our first team unless he proved himself, and was more of a squad player for you.

Crazy to think £30m is now considered "low balling" though.

I actually think that's about right for Seri. He's not pulled up any trees this season  and in general I think he's overhyped.

Pione Sisto linked to Southampton. If Southampton stay up, I can't help but think this would be an upgrade. Celta de Vigo are better than most of bottom half PL but the marketing in England is much better as well as pay, that I can't help but think that its a better stepping stone, especially a team like the Saints who have been a great stepping stone to several players.

Hope Southampton stays up now.
