Spike Posted December 3, 2023 Author Posted December 3, 2023 Similar thing just happened on NYC. Some bloke was waiting for a bus with his girlfriend and a teenaged basehead accosted him and stabbed him to death. Even worse still he was on a bunch of committees and working to improve NYC for people like the murderer. 1 Quote

Azeem Posted December 12, 2023 Posted December 12, 2023 India should relax. This isn't age of empires when an empire weakened different areas broke away from their suzerainty. Modern nation states are far more rigid, secession movements don't succeed until global/regional powers want them to and are willing to intervene in anyway i.e Russia in Donbass. Texas Catalonia can be as much popular movements they want but won't happen unless they get outside help. They are only reviving the once popular but now fringe Sikh independence sentiment by these useless killings abroad and giving US own goals. US won't do anything now bcz they want India against China but certainly in future when India becomes too 'independent' they will use this for sanctions and what not. Quote
Azeem Posted December 12, 2023 Posted December 12, 2023 Also a reminder all this muh multipolarity talk on the rise by BRICS countries is bullshit. They just want to globalise the American playbook i.e assassinations, coups, invasion not replace it with something better. Quote

I feel a bit bad for Mexico, because the guys a total joke of a leader, but... they voted for him and in a democracy you get the leaders you deserve, even though Mexican politics is fucked purely because of the drug problem their neighbor to the north has. Administrator Stan Posted January 2 Administrator Posted January 2 Massive fire at one of the airports in Tokyo. Collision between a passenger plane and coastguard. Apparently all 360+ passengers made it off the passenger plane safely which is amazing if true. Hope any people on the coast guard aircraft are okay too. Looks insane though. 1 1 Quote

OrangeKhrush Posted January 24 Posted January 24 I wonder if clean sustainable nuclear energy was discussed at Davos. nuclear energy can not be exploited for profit and thus will not be considered even though it's the clean and the most abundant. Solar power required mercury, a very toxic heavy metal that is only produced in China, Russia and other non friendly states, it's expensive, it decays in efficiency but remains toxic forever. Nuclear power can sustain our planet's increasing power depency for a long time, each plant has a 200-250 year shelf life and is about as toxic as flying in a passenger plane at 40000 ft exposed to low level UV. Save the planet build nuclear power plants Quote

You should really google more, as I already wrote to you opinion is a faint substitute for factual knowledge. Hint: The enterprises running them doesn't make that for charity! Oh and nuclear waste is only the safetest if you equalise safety with longelivity! Edited January 24 by Rucksackfranzose Quote

Well yes like anything safety should be high priority, so avoiding short cuts and cost cuttings that led to 3 mile and Chernobyl is of utter importance. Despite a handful of disasters with Chernobyl being the only downright catastrophic failure which was avoidable, nuclear energy is rather safe Quote

Fukushima was not catastrophic die to the commitment to safety, Fukushima is due to come back online. Quick thinking, innovation to safety and some bravery limited loss of life to a handful, do you know how many have died in fossil fuel power plants or the side effects of that or how many commies die from accute mercury poisoning to allow the regimes to profit on the rare mercury needed to fund the solar power racket. As a person that lives in the beautiful Winelands, most farmers use solar power, but despite forking out 400_800k to have enough power to run a stove and kettle in a inclement weather week they have no power for a few days. solar energy is expensive as you need a lot of panels to sustain anything close to normal usage. solar energy is amongst the most inefficient energy forms as less than 10% per hour is salvaged energy. Is a solar panel long term, no it's 10 years with every year degrading in its ability to retain power. Solar panels are exposed to natural conditions and a hail storm may result in some expensive maintenance or replacing entire panels. Is it clean, no mercury is toxic forever. Alternative energy is fine but grossly inefficient to fulfil growing power needs. Quote

Carnivore Chris Posted March 4 Posted March 4 Terrible news. If things weren't already shit for Haitian people. 3,700 prisoners, many of which are likely violent, have escaped. Quote
OrangeKhrush Posted March 20 Posted March 20 I wonder what will happen to Boeing not just as a civil aviation company but how do the disasters impact the company's reputation as an investor company. The civil aviation standards need reassign and airline componies need to be audited more regularly for non compliance Quote
