Shawshank Redemption is the biggest one for me; the movie that everyone seems to love and it's regularly on top of everyone's "most favourite" or even "best ever" movie lists and I just don't care for it at all. Moderator Tommy Posted June 15, 2019 Moderator Share Posted June 15, 2019 Series: The Big Bang Theory Two and a Half Men The Walking Dead Movies: All that Avengers stuff. It feels like they bring out a new movie every week, and it has become incredibly tiring.
IgnisExcubitor
Avatar Proper cow-dung this. Wolf of wall street I love Scorsese's movies, but I thought this was OTT and unnecessarily provocative. Gone with the Wind Couldn't finish the book(only one I haven't) , finally finished watching the movie once. Hated Scarlett.

I mean look at the movie Boogie Nights or Bitter Moon. Both had crazier sex scenes but the scenes, story, acting or the movies in general didn't seem forced. I am a huge fan of Scorsese, but I just didn't like this one.

IgnisExcubitor
I don't mind Friends, in fact enjoyed it. It's a really good series. But honestly, Coupling>>>Friends. Also, anyone who has watched Seinfeld would spot the several jokes or situations copied by Friends.

Friday has always been our family day, so uncles aunties and cousins all come on Friday. We all go to my Grandmas and we all eat together then chill and talk. I remember the period that Friends was in its pomp, they use to put it on religiously, cousins and their fathers hooked on it. For years most Friday nights I was forced into sitting down and watching this utter dog shit of a show. It was just so unfunny and fake as can be, have never seen a comedy where the actors are trying their best to force their jokes out. When I watch other comedies like Only Fools, Fresh Prince and Faulty Towers, the jokes comes naturally. Its like their just being natural and letting the jokes flow without much effort, but in Friends they are really trying which to be made the acting seem really unnatural. I can see why Friends was widely loved at the time because it was a fairly original concept but it hasn't aged well.

This is spot on. I loved watching Friends growing up; tried to rewatch it a few years ago and just couldn't enjoy it.

6666
The first 3 Star Wars films were boring. The 3 after that weren't very good. Since then they've been okay.
