The last six games without messi show that Valverde is only being saved by messi.... forget the pathetic results, it's more about how they played and lost. From the beginning, I said that Valverde wasnt the right choice and I stand by it even more firm. If it was man utd getting those results, Sirbalon would be all over it. I dont understand how you can continue excusing a coach who allowed his team to lose the second leg versus Liverpool even with messi.

Barcelona has SO MUCH talent but they need to act quickly and get rid of what's holding them back and that's Valverde and Barto

What is the rumoured deal? This morning I heard it was 100m plus Bale, James and Navas...

27 years old

Spends more time injured than fit and it's a bigger liability than Derrick Rose or.Gareth Bale xD

Wage demand is near 38 million euros annually. A lot of money but that's pocket change compare to what the total cost will be payed by Barcelona ... total cost meaning since the beginning when Barcelona cowardly ignored the deal RM had first.

.... a near 30yo made out of glass and has already quit the team before makes more sense then Mbappe regardless of how you sliced it right

The depth enough (given the injuries already) to justify spending so much money on a injury prone diva that might leave in two or three years AGAIN.

I dont recall Valverde commenting much on the possible return and its probably cause its a locker room run squad. Already walking on thin ice, Valverde knows he is better of keeping a low profile. If neymar had no prior history with the club then why not? FC Barcelona needs to go back to its roots while they have a talented squad and la masia still producing capable players.

Jovic, hazard, junior, Rodrygo, benzema, asensio (when he come backs from injury)

Zidane doesn't have the pressure Valverde has and they have players like james, bale, and navas that wont be missed.if messi stays healthy and consistent like he has this past few years, this ongoing problem within the club will continue with much attention. This squad without messi AND Sergio Busquets is FUCKED... neymar is the last option to.solve that.... the target for both clubs should be  Mbappe next year and whoever gets neymar is less likely to convince him to join.

Depth up front is exactly what they have but they've been savaged by injuries to Messi, Suárez and Dembélé... That's three attacking squad members and there is not a club on the planet presently that could survive that. Barcelona still have an elite player to play up front with Griezmann!

I also have no idea what this "Fucked without Busquets and Messi" garbage is all about when Barcelona presently have players like Alba, Piqué, Rakitić, De Jong or Vidal just to name a few... They're not exactly unkown entities in the football world.

The reasons Barcelona want Neymar are two; They know what he can provide as he was there for four years and secondly the heavywieghts in the squad want him back.

Now, debating on what one personally thinks about Neymar is something completely different but without a shadow of a doubt he is one of the most naturally talented players on the planet, of that there's no dispute although he's a total idiot.

Mbappé can't be gotten, now and most probably next year either. He is under contract and anyone that follows football will know that no matter how much of a strop he may hypothetically throw in the future, that doesn't get you your "get out of jail" card at PSG, ask Verratti!

One minute you're criticising Barcelona for going in for him and even more intensely when it was looking very likely and then all of a sudden you change course dramatically when it looks like Real Madrid are looking to be close to sign him... It's all on here, recorded mate and there are more examples of the same attitude elsewhere in the forum.

You should analyse this sentiment you have because it's not natural, it's odd and off putting. It relegates anything else that's normal in your comments on football and you don't even do enough of the good ones to draw yourself back level before you're making a fool of yourself once again.

But anyway... You own your character and personality... Do what you will mate.

If this is an FFP question then the answer lies in the fact that as long as they balance that out over a three year period then they're okay. I don't think they did much business last summer. Still will have to be temperate next summer and probably try and get what money they can for players they don't want.

Couldn´t agree more, Baloncito. Yes, Neymar is an idiot, but contrary to the narrative, he was never outshined by Mbappé at PSG. Neymar is still a great player and PSG really miss him when he´s out.

I´ve watched most of his games at PSG, and I´d say he´s even better, he already had great vision but under Tuchel he got even better in terms of finding his teammates and now can play as a classic number 10 as well.

In my opinion, the move to Spain will benefit him because french football can be physically brutal. It is much more physical than spanish football and in Spain referees used to protect him a lot more than they did in France.

Read this guys, read this and take note if you care about your sport. Don't be so insular to think this is a continental issue!

The Emir of Qatar has stated that he is not willing to sell Neymar and that any possibility relies on factors that can't be taken into account this summer.

If anyone ever needed any proof of what's going on and the illegality turned into a blind eye, then here you have it.

Honest to god... I'm done with this sport as a passion. I have since a while back taken a very pragmatic stance on my vision and sentiment towards football. Infact this is the case with most things in general.

Something is going down at Barça according to the local press because the technical team at board level accompanied by most of the heavyweights in the board have been in meetings all day and they reckon something is brewing with little time left in the transfer window.

They are discussing what chocolate and fried goods to put in the box with the words "Adios Ousmane" on it so that they can bring the Brazilian back. SMH at the madness this one single transfer saga has generated.

I would still be very surprised if Barcelona used Dembélé as a bargaining chip to bring back Neymar because he is way too talented for that and add to it all his young age. That was also how Barça saw it before the latest stupidity designed and executed by Ousmane Dembélé in his time at Barcelona. Just when you think it's all over and he's becoming more professional and mature, he does something new and even more ridiculous which I won't go into as it's all recorded in Dembélé's dedicated thread.

So, of it happens like that, then you can't blame Barcelona for the part in using Dembélé as a method to bring aboht what they want. The catalogue of incidents is becoming to big and more ridiculous not to take issue.
