@Vader I get you. I’m a mix between loving time by myself and doing nothing or speaking to hardly anyone but then I can be quite social too (less and less these days though - it’s just getting harder). I used to get that feeling of after a while of hanging out with someone, whether it be a partner or some mates, there was usually a feeling of “I can’t wait to be by myself”. I’ve lived alone for many years now so it could stem from that. However, I can’t recall ever having that feeling with my current partner. You may meet someone where it changes those feelings. Although, we do not live with each other on a full time basis. But neither did I with my previous examples. Anyway, you’re normal in this regard2 points

Born n bred in Liverpool mate. I've spent my life watching a couple of years of them being great in the late 80's, to most of my adult life watching them being shit. Too fucking right im going to milk this period pal.2 points

Tbf, I think it's more to do with the world class facilities they have there, relating to infectious disease. Does make you wonder though.1 point

Entirely natural, who wouldn't want to be alone in this world? Human beings are nearly all absolute insufferable bellends not worth a second of your time and totally incapable of interesting conversation. The guilt you feel is entirely illogical, rid yourself of it and be genuinely happy. I am fairly lucky in that I've met some decent people but I steadfastly refuse to entertain making any more friends, it's just not worth the hassle of finding out someone likes Top Gear, Jason Manford or says 'dude' or 'Awesome'.1 point

Very true, and it was an honest misread, but that whole dialog still gets me when I think about it. No - I am also an introvert, although not severe, and the #1 issue my wife and I have is our different personalities and how she wants to always be with people, know about other's lives, and be 'in the know', whereas I couldn't give a shit, and am rather focused of being the best version of myself and the rest of the world be damned. It's a constant struggle, and I'll say this with any personality trait. You are NEVER alone. Their are too many people in this world for you to be the only one of worries or stressing about something. If you like reading, I did like the book called quiet by Susan Cain. You might want to give it a shot.1 point

Most likely just a wild speculation with no substantial evidence. https://foreignpolicy.com/2020/01/29/coronavirus-china-lab-mortality-virology-wuhan-virus-not-bioweapon/1 point

No, you're most definitely not the only introvert in the world who enjoys solitude but also gets lonely from time to time. That conflict is always going to be there as we're all social animals and everyone still needs socializing, love and support to a certain degree regardless of one's social inclination.1 point

Yeah have to agree with everything you've said. He doesn't just add solidity in the center of the defense but is commanding, gets on your back when you're slacking and doesn't look like hes phased when someone tries to get the better of him (quite the opposite ends up happening most times haha). I love the guy to bits and I think his partnership with Joe is the better one that his with Matip. You've got speed coupled with confidence in that pairing and it absolutely shuts down a lot of attacks very fast.1 point

You do get a lot of casual fans that just follow the team that's playing the most interesting football at the time. It's basically why so many follow Barcelona1 point

VVD worth £10 mill more than the hapless Maguire? £200million would be about right for VVD in terms of his worth to Liverpool and global worth in this market. Certainly has to be far upwards of the expendable Coutinho. I'd be surprised if it were true anyway, only real benefit of a move to Juventus is living in Italy, very much a sideways step in terms of club.1 point

We have a great chance now Laporte & Sane are back, Liverpool will be the main hurdle with them being so consistent this season ..we are the best team in the world though so on form we are unstoppable1 point

It was Rafa that introduced us to zonal marking I believe? And as far as I know we still do it now. The difference now is that big Virg gets his head on literally everything whether it's his zone or not I mean, I was happy when we signed VVD but fuck me, little did we all know at the time that we had just signed one of the best CB's of all time. I read the comments on here the other day and some were saying we wouldn't get £200m for him and they were probably right, because no club can afford £200m for a defender, especially Juventus who would probably offer to loan him for 3 years with the option to buy for £6m in 2025. But in terms of if hes worth it then yes, every single penny. VVD doesn't just give you the best CB in the world, he also improves whoever is playing beside him by about 60%. What a player.1 point

My favourite thing about this Liverpool side is the number of times we’ve scored from a corner against us this season. Sides would almost be better off hoofing the ball to their keepers from corners than trying to score. It’s a far cry from those days under Rodgers where we’d concede off 10% of the corners against us. And I fucking love it.1 point
