This was a cool idea.... shame it went a bit tits up This beautiful 'vertical forest' housing project in China went horribly wrong as residents had to abandon their apartments after the buildings were overrun by plants and mosquitoes - Luxurylaunches Looks a lot like how I would imagine things looking a few years after we are all gone...3 points

I've had anxiety but not to the point of panic attacks. I was at a level where I was getting muscle spasms. Not sure how to handle panic attacks but I think the most important thing is to figure out what is triggering the anxiety. (work, family, etc)2 points

They wouldn't get the coverage. They wouldn't be on morning tv. People protest in numbers that small and smaller at government buildings all the time. Many occasion have I taken a leaflet from someone dressed as a badger or walked past a bloke who stuck a load of plastic bottles to himself. Many have been arrested. When an ambulance is trying to get through its time to stand up, get off the road.2 points

She keeps looking at me frustrated as I'm not bothered. I'm just flicking round the net like I normally do whilst she checks her phone every 5 minutes. In fact she's just checked as I write this1 point

Hope she gets the help she needs mate.. You must feel pretty helpless when things like that happen I should imagine but as long as you support her through it where you can there is not a lot more you can do...1 point

I've been covering food waste as part of business ethics. It's really raised my awareness to these sorts of things, and convinced me that everyone needs compost, to recycle more ect... But this is criminal.1 point

Reuben Loftus-Cheek and Barkley making important contributions, I didn't expect that at the start of the season. Nice to see Chilwell back too.1 point

The guy heading ‘Insulate Britain’ and protesting hasn’t insulated his own property and drives a diesel Range Rover. Go figure.1 point

So I went to Aldi today, and in Germany you have to put a coin (50 Cent, 1€ or 2€) in a shopping card as a deposit. So I put 50 Cents into the shopping cart, but couldn't get it lose. Like that thing was still stuck to the shopping cart infront, and my 50 Cents were also stuck. I tried pulling, pushing, everything. Stuck. So I thought fuck it, it's only 50 Cent and went to take another shopping cart instead. A few moments later I saw a young woman getting my 50 Cents out of that other shopping cart with ease, and she put it in her pocket. I didn't say anything and let her have it. It reminded me of those experiments were Chimps have to retrieve a nut or a piece of fruit out of something, to see how clever they are. I was the dumb chimp, and that young woman was the smart chimp. So I think she fully deserved those 50 Cents.1 point

The only use of a disruptive protest is to raise awareness for an issue. Once that is raised the disruption has no benefit and may start to have the opposite effect.1 point

One of my neighbours across the street actually plays this on piano almost every day, and I always listen in awe.1 point

Yeah, so I've been vaguely open about my wife, but her mental health has deteriorated over the past 4 years, and rather rapidly over the past 2 years which almost led to a divorce and other issues. Long story short, I decided that for better or worse I'm going to try to stand by her as we've been together for over a decade, and she deserves someone to stick with her through thick and thin. This weekend, we were at my best friend's house for his kid's first bday party, and all the people we know really well and his wife and mine actually get along really well.. but about 2 hours after it started, my wife just started to almost shake in the corner and crying. I checked on her, and she, through clenched teeth, said, "I have to get out of here'. So we did. On the drive home, she cried for over an hour and was shaking and saying that she was completely out of control. Once she calmed down, she was able to express that she got an anxiety which she wasn't able to control and led to her losing her nerve and control of her emotions. This is just another issue to go with the long list, so I've spent the last 48 hours trying to wrap my head around this and how to handle it while protecting our daughter and her from self harm.0 points

BA was merged with Iberia for cost cutting investors purposes, they sacked the British IT department, out sourcing it all to India to get a better return on their dividends.0 points
