  1. She's right. Funnily enough I saw on reddit today, that someone on a German subreddit complained about Spaghetti being an annoying shape of pasta, and how inconvenient it is to eat. A rather long rant. Someone translated it with DeepL and cross posted it on an Italian subreddit, and they got so wound up. One comment from an Italian was "Spaghetti literally makes the difference between man and monkey."

  4. Who knows? When it was first leaked we were in for him I was of the opinion Barcelona were using us to concentrate United's mind on the possibility they missing out on there said to be no1 target. Afterall they have been taking the Michael out of us all window, so it made sense. So many weeks on and we are still linked makes one think maybe there is something too it. I wouldn't loose any sleep if we missed out as Told has got a real taste for it and I expect 2 or 3 others might be with us come the end of the window instead. How about you, is he a must, is his position a must need to improve? Isnt Eriksen the same kinda player?

  8. I still don't understand why China cares so much. She's not the first person from the US congress (or even Speaker of the House) to travel to Taiwan. Tbh, I think it makes China look like a bit of a paper tiger and I'm not sure they want to be entrenched in a war over Taiwan and get bogged down in a conflict where a much larger military ends up struggling against a smaller military armed by NATO (and most likely other South Asian countries), the way Russia's found their war in Ukraine gone. I get that they want Taiwan's semiconductor industry... but I'm not sure they'll get it (at least without having the infrastructure of those industries completely decimated in a war) by acting the way they've been acting. And ultimately, it's bad for business (which tbh, so are China's current covid policies) - which I think is strange China would want to jeopardise that, considering making goods for the rest of the world is what got them to be a genuine superpower. Because if it were me in charge of the decision making for these multinational companies... I think these sorts of statements from China would have me thinking "well, this looks like it might very well end up with China becoming another pariah state - perhaps it's time to transition out of China" and there are countries like Indonesia, India, Pakistan, Turkey, etc... that I think would be quite keen to see western companies move manufacturing out of China to them. The Western world probably needs to be looking more carefully at who they're doing business with. European energy dependence with Russia has Europe wanting to be harsher on Russia for it's invasion and destabilisation of the continent... but really unable to make the steps they'd want to make because... they're dependent on Russia for energy. China's sort of got global manufacturing by the balls right now and are getting increasingly hostile with regard to Taiwan and wanting control over the semi-conductor industry... and if China invades Taiwan, the strongest reaction would be to uproot what made China so strong in the first place. But they can't do that if China's got the manufacturing industry by the balls.

  9. RB Leipzig have re-signed Chelsea forward Timo Werner on a permanent deal, two years after he left the club for the Premier League. Chelsea met the Germany international's £45m release clause in 2020 but will make a loss, with Werner returning in a deal thought to be about £25m. He has signed a four-year deal to 2026 with his former club. "I'm very happy to be playing for RB Leipzig again from now on," the 26-year-old said. "It was a great time from 2016 to 2020 in which we caused a sensation as a league newcomer. It was a worthy farewell for me back then, going as a record goalscorer. "But that's also a bit of the past and now I'm looking ahead, because RB Leipzig has developed over the past two years, just like I have." Werner scored 23 goals in 89 games in all competitions for Chelsea, winning the Champions League in 2021.

  10. Jesus Christ, your situation sounds pretty serious as well. I hope your wife feels better soon, and that you all can return to somewhat of a normalcy. And here as well. I had no idea. Glad you're still with us, mate. I hope those awful thoughts are truly behind you.

  12. Thanks everyone, I don’t feel as alone as I did when I wrote it all out. It’s easy to fall into negativity and it thrives on itself. Today I’m forcing myself to be positive, optimistic, decided to make changes. Even if they aren’t permanent they are short term goals I can achieve, and I think it is important ti set little tasks for yourself to stay busy and improving. There is a beer festival for work coming up, I was super excited to go about a month ago, but now it’s causing me nothing but stress. So I put my foot down and said I’m not going, I have to take care of myself and being around a bunch of pissheads isn’t for the best. I’m gonna cut down on the grog, for the time being, I hadn’t been drinking much but I feel like it’s a easy trap. In a three way tie of morality, frugality, and health, in decide to also cut down on meat consumption and eat more vegetables and fruits. It’s been about 5 days so far, so let’s see how low it lasts. In better news though I’ve lost over 5kg since I started at work. @DeadLinesman Huge respect to you mate, nothing but admiration shouldering burdens like that. Be careful mate, don’t burn out, take care of yourself as well. @Whiskey I guess we are probably more alike then we realise. From what I’ve read it’s like reading something I could have wrote myself. I’ve got your back too mate, sincerely.

  15. In full United kit as well. His bid of £20m was accepted by Martin Edwards but two of his main partners pulled out and Knighton took a seat on the Board instead. Can you imagine the return on investment if they had bought the club for £20m and still owned it today.
