Allegedly he's already negotiating with MLS clubs. That can be granted, he's apparently not unprincipled enough to whore himself to a Saudi club. That deserves a honorable mention.
Would love Dortmund to overcome Real.
Real have a serious knack of getting the job done though. Their record in this competition in last 10 or so years is stupidly good.
This is a strong and expected Bayern line-up except that Pavlovic and Mazraoui start ahead of Goretzka and Davies. It's good to see de Ligt back in defence instead of Kim(who was the weak link and responsible for both Real Madrid goals in the 1st leg). I just hope that de Ligt is fully fit, as he will no doubt have a busy evening. Real Madrid will pressure this Bayern team a lot and they are likely to have much more of the possession at home in the Bernabeu. But Kane, Musiala, Sane and Gnabry are all capable of punishing Real Madrid when they attack. This should be another great match to watch and a battle of the titans.
I think this Bayern team can beat Real Madrid at home. It's just a matter of them not letting the wings overload them and they'll be fine. Having all the key defenders back is also a big plus.
Dortmund will have earned millions from the Champions League by reaching the final. If they win it, they will earn even more in prize money. This will probably allow them to buy both Sancho and Maatsen outright, as well as buying their other transfer targets. They will also hope to keep the bulk of this team together for next season.
They're both massive, but for different reasons.
Winning the league is undeniable proof that over the course of the season, you're the best team in the league. But the CL is club football's most prestigious tournament - and the hardest to win.
It would be nice if he takes the Champions League to cap off his Dortmund days. I would like to see him back at Gladbach, but perhaps the USA is more likely.
He has been part of the team that has got through the last 16, the quarter and the semi finals. So let’s not make out like he just joined them this morning after they had qualified. I’m not even saying he’s been great for Dortmund, but he absolutely did play great last week and was good last night as well.
Sancho getting so much praise is kinda funny. The Dortmund team is a unit, they all have their job and to beat PSG they all needed to execute well and have a bit of luck. Sancho had a really strong first leg to be fair but hes far from the reason their winning. Our feeds over here didnt help any, some Irishman slobbing Sancho's knob everytime he touched or was close to touching the ball over both legs was the colour commentary. Id say Brandt had more of an impact over both legs really. As much as it pains me Can was immense as well, thats before even getting into their defence. Total team effort.
Nunez was a pleb over the weekend and deleted all pictures of himself at Liverpool from his Instagram. Does it mean much? Probably just a childish pillock throwing a strop but it’s not a good look for him or us.
The fact of the matter is that if he had put away even half of the golden chances he’s fucked, then we would be at the top of the table. Some of his misses have been criminal and I’ve got serious reservations about us keeping him. Could be an idea to sell while he still has some value.
I suppose if you leave at the end of a contract, you are leaving when both parties initially agreed you would.
Still sounds weird phrasing it as "mutual consent" which I would normally interpret as agreeing a settlement to end the contract early.
I mean Leicester are coming up and aren't too far away from them, also could have Leeds in the Prem next season too. Problem is teams in Yorkshire have been woefully mismanaged for years. Leeds, Wednesday, Sheffield United and Hull...can't say they've been unlucky, just poorly executed time and time again with the odd exception.
