Salah looks boss now.

Dont get chamberlain, very average player for me.

Yeah, he really does. A little limited in his approach to the game but he is very talented at what he does. I reckon he was bought because he scored a hattrick against Chelsea in the CL and someone further up got a little excited. It's a shame how it turned out for him at Chelsea, I really did like him but it never seemed like he was part of the plans.

Yeah, I've never thought he was amazing but who knows? Perhaps he'll just click better in Conte's approach compared to Wegner's. I guess Conte is looking for versatile players that can cover eachother's spot if there is an injury or suspension. He has always had those jack-of-all-trades types like Giaccherini and Asamoah at Juve.

Not too bother by the Chamberlain sale. Alexis seems to be showing a shitty attitude now as well and would be better for everyone if he was moved on. Can't have some fucker doing fuck all in a game and then somehow being above criticism and laughing when subbed off because people have somehow decided he's better than the club.

I won't trust Balague. He is a fraud.

I think Coutinho is off. That explains our sudden interest in Lemar. Quite a few Spanish journos are stating figures around 150-170 mil including bonus, which is crazy.

On a side note, the fact that the Brazilian doctors have declared Coutinho fit makes me lose all respect for him, even though I am not entirely surprised.

Meanwhile, Reddy has stated that we aren't interested in Sanches. Well, that was fun while it lasted.

Fucking massive fraud. That people take him seriously is a constant source of bafflement to me.

You see, I thought the Fabregas antics were bad, this one I feel is worse given Pep Seguras behaviour. I think it's cultural though, because we wouldn't see a board member of a club here appear on TV and say someone is close to signing when the 'selling' club has said "erm; no" ad infinitum. On a side note, if Liverpool do sell (which contrary to what people may think) I think it benefits them immensely given what they'll receive and can reinvest.

Of course the money would be useful, but having Coutinho in the team this season would be far more useful unless we can get several deals over the line with that money in the next 3 days, which is extremely unlikely.

Indeed...  Balague is indeed a fraud!  How someone that made his living from writing on football in a kids football magazine (Don Balón) is beyond me.  He is literally a seconder on info.

He used to pretend to have all kinds of super inside information re: Rafa Benitez and any transfer gossip from us signing a lot of Spanish players. But it turned out to be total bollocks. But somehow, he made a name for himself with that bollocks and he's still popular.

He's a donkey!

I've actually met him on two occasions and he really is up himself.  I have heard from people that know him quite well that he was nothing like the way he is now and that he really believes in himself to an extent that it's repulsive.  I hate that smirk he puts on when someone else is speaking next to him.

I don't think Arsenal can afford to lose Alexis now, even if it means losing him for nothing next year. He's the only chance Arsenal have to qualify for the Champions' League this year, and while that's not the be all and end all for a football club, it's much easier to rebuild from inside the CL than outside. If they miss out again this year, which admittedly looks likely with or without Alexis, it's a very long way back.

Apparently we want to get Lemar signed ASAP. I imagine this means Coutinho's on his way out ASAP though.

If we can sign a defender this will be a good window. It looks like Salah was the top wide player target for us, Keita is clearly a player Klopp wants at Liverpool to the point where we're wiling to wait - and I'd rather have a top target a year late than signing a shite alternative and missing out on our top target in the future (the usual Liverpool way). Lemar looks like a high quality potential replacement for Coutinho (should Coutinho leave this season). Ideally we'd keep Coutinho this season and have Lemar as depth and as a future replacement for Coutinho we can ease into it.

The biggest need is still CB though.

Attacking wise what you're building is amazing I have to say.  If you can sort your defence Liverpool could be one of the most exciting sides in Europe.

I agree. His attitude is pretty poor - but imagine going from a great Barca side to an Arsenal that continually regresses. Wenger's also totally lost the plot tbh. I can definitely see him thinking "I've made a huge mistake." But if Arsenal have any hope of getting into the top 4... or winning the Europa League... they need Sanchez. The window closes soon and if they sell him, I wouldn't count on them spending the money. And if they did it would likely be a panic buy. Short of Wenger pulling the thumb out and becoming the Arsene Wenger he used to be again, I think Arsenal are going to keep regressing until they have a change in management. They've got some quality players for sure, but also a squad of a lot of players who are underdeveloped - Ramsey, Welbeck, Xhaka, Holding... I don't think any of these are at the level required at Arsenal. And there's probably more you could reasonably add to that list.

Everton have strengthened well. And they'll be looking at Arsenal and hoping the regression continues and that Spurs can't shake the Wembley shite.

Segura?

Is that the best we can come up with mate?

Read back the Coutinho leaving thread and look pre-Segura's comments and then you'll have page after page (over 500 posts) on how Barcelona have been using all sorts to play dirty.

What was it then?

Because the thick arsed Segura comments are just one detail amongst too many unfounded allegations by people that know NOTHING whatsoever about what's going on.

I've already told you mate...  The press everyone is saying FC Barcelona have been using to unsettle Coutinho is the press that wants this particular board out!!!  They WOULD NEVER back them and are hoping for failure to occur on the transfers Barça have been going for.  They want the club to keep the money for a decent board to come in and return the club back to normal.

Why did Barca organise an unveiling then?

Why did they release news that terms  had been agreed?

Why did their manager say in a press conference that a deal was close?

They are a shithouse club mate and they have been the absolute laughing stock of the entire window

Because he's a prick... Weve already established that but there have been pages and pages of apparent phantasmagorical direct statements from Barcelona that haven't existed.

Could it be that the fact you didn't think Coutinho would ever show dissent to his present club (the club you support), has hurt you?

The only direct actions in the Coutinho Barcelona saga that have any direct source (other than Segura) have all come from the Coutinho camp.

How about that?

Hahaha... If he's done nothing wrong and Barcelona put in the transfer request for him, told him not to train, asked not to be included in the Champions League registrations.

Then I'm with you... If they've done all this and the other stuff you said they done like have the unveiling planned for when there wasn't even any grass on the pitch. Then I agree... What a bunch of... What was it again? All together now... :whistling:
