Dortmund have been dominant from kick-off. Duisburg having Volkmer sent off is only going to make things worse for them.

Michael
Dortmund score a 5th goal through Reus who just came on the pitch as a sub. He scores with his 1st touch of the ball, after he made a clever run.

Chadwell
18 hours ago, Michael said: Hamburg's form really dipped towards the end of last season. I think the longer they've stayed in the 2 Bundesliga, the weaker they have become. This is undoubtedly true. Where in the first season they played as if they felt they belonged in the first season until the spring, it's been a collective mental collapse ever since then. I think pure talent, and lack of urgency from other teams surrounding them, allowed them to coast towards the top for the first half of the last season, but once the rot came to the surface then it was simply a rapid decline. The players yesterday just looked awful, just utterly bereft of ideas and any confidence. Can only hope the back line improves with Ambrosius, van Drongelen, and Gyamerah coming off the physio tables, but my God was that ghastly to watch. Eco
Schalke up 2-1 at halftime. Been working so missed the first half, but I am happy to see Schalke ahead. Normally I'd be all about the underdog, but I still like Schalke a bit.

Rucksackfranzose
Second round has been drawn: Ulm - Schalke Essen - Düsseldorf Elversberg - Gladbach Wehen -Regensburg Dresden - Darmstadt Union Berlin - Paderborn Stuttgart - Freiburg Braunschweig - Dortmund Leverkusen - Frankfurt Hannover - Bremen Köln - Osnabrück Mainz - Bochum Kiel - Bayern Augsburg - Leipzig Hoffenheim - Fürth Wolfsburg - Sandhausen A lot of disappointing matches, the most interesting being Stuttgart - Freiburg and Leverkusen - Frankfurt. SchalkeUK
Just about 1 hour to go before kick off and Huub's final game of the present debacle in charge of the team as his coaching cert is only until Jan 1st. With 2 main contenders for the job we now have a sort of question for nudge in one of her future quiz sets: Which club was stupid enough in it's contract dealings to be paying 3 first team coaches/managers at the same time? With a bit of luck the money for McKennie from Juventus which looks like a done deal will enable them to pay all three at once with a bonus for Huub if he manages to beat Ulm for a victory before 2020 is over! No wonder we all need a long lay down before we start again in January! Very happy Christmas to all who care and a happy holiday to everyone else!
