This.

We have earned the right to go to the beach early as we secured European football with four games to go. These matches should be seen as opportunities for the fringe and young players to show Koeman what they are about.

I don't want us to lose but I didn't have any emotional attachment to the Chelsea or Swansea games. They mean nothing to us although I'd like to think we'll get Gylfi on a cut price deal due to us keeping his side in the league.

Irrespective of how it effected Hull, that's a bit of a miserable attitude for a club like Everton. Earned the right by finishing 7th? This season hasn't been a blaze of glory for Everton, they're returned to par. If Koeaman is to earn his crust you need to be fighting at the top next year.

Agreed. It's still important to get points on the board in the remaining matches so that we are as close as possible to 6th. We need to be going to players saying that we're at the bottom of the top 7, not the best side outside the top 6.

Koeman has a big job on his hands next season. If he fails to break the top 6 most people won't be too surprised but if he drops below 7th then that will unquestionably be seen as an outright failure.

Hes on a hiding to nothing really.

daquf is Stephens doing there, throwing his elbow towards the ball? Blatant penalty and a chance of a breakthrough for Liverpool. Been a shitty game so far as well. Southampton were comfortable.

Well that was dogshit. It's in Utds hands now. Gutted isn't the word. Luckily Utd still have to play Arsenal and Spurs

If Arsenal win their games in hand they will only be a point behind meaning we have to win our last 2 games.

We're gonna bottle it aren't we xD

That was no surprise at all. Awful game too.

Very similar to the other 3 games against them this season. That's 4 games against them and we've managed to score a grand total of fuck all in any :dam:

7th is the maximum of that squad. It's littered with shite in all areas. Returning to what we were was needed first, only way we'd have pushed on further was if those above had a massive capitulation.

We're not that good, in a league of our own this season, another summer (and then some) away from top 6 but better than 8th down by some distance.

well this game between Arsenal and Man Utd has had much more to it in half an hour than the earlier game did in 90.

De Gea has made some fabulous saves to keep it at 0-0. Rooney had a great chance to make it 0-1 after a defensive lapse but Cech saved well.

Wouldn't say either side has dominated but overall we were the better side in the half. Can see the game Mourinho's playing, sit back and see if you can pull the opponent's trousers down on the counter. Had a few good opportunities but nothing that's really troubled De Gea.

Lucky goal but Xhaka has been very good overall in the game. His passing as usual has been great, never gets credit for it.

EDIT: 2-0. Lovely header from Welbeck. Man Utd definitely need to come out their shell now.

Not really. Arsenal are renowned for finishing strongly and this will give them confidence whereas we look to be shitting bricks.

You only have 2 games left, West Ham & Middlesbrough. We have 4 league games left after this. We need you to drop more points and need to win all our games. Liverpool still big favourites.
