It's shocking how poor Italy can be in front. I don't think Immobile is truly an elite striker, yet he's the best Italy has. These shots aren't even close.

Italy have have been blessed with world class strikers throughout their history tbf. Tough boots to fill.

I mean he didn't even cut it in the Bundesliga, a well-known mickey mouse league...

Yeah, but you'd think a two time Serie A Golden Boot would be a more prolific striker, but Italian just don't have that dangerous striker, and probably haven't since the days of Del Perio/Inzaghi

Doesn't seem 'clear and obvious' from the replays.

Looks like there are two offsides anyways, jusy play the damn game.

Clear and obvious doesn't come in to it for offsides

Do you really think that? True striker I think of Baggio, Vieri, Inzaghi, Del Piero.

Some great names, but nothing compared to the likes of a team like Germany.

When I think of elite Italians, I think of GK's and Defenders.

No - but if it was onside, I didn't think the penalty would have been clear and obvious.

Oh I'm aware, just pointing out that Italy doesn't have that player that you can just feed the ball and he'll create something and score like some of the other elite teams in the tournament.

Ha that's the kind of attempt I do on Thursday nights.

But do you actually pull them off, or do you end up looking like a twat like Berrardi? :ph34r:xD

He's playing Thursday night football...I think that's enough to know the answer to this question. xD

I felt represented by Immobile trying to control the ball on the air in the 1st half. 😂

Austria hoping for extra time. Won't end well. Italy to score a winner in the last minute.

This 5 subs rule, definitely favours the teams with depth.

Austria upset that Italy doesn't kick the ball out because of a cramp? xD

EDIT: Hamstring injury...still. That's just dumb.

Schlager has been a beast in midfield today, an excellent performance by him.

Hinteregger as well. A rock.

Absolutely. He looked piss poor against North Macedonia, but is blooming in this formation.
