Devil 1,179 Posted December 22, 2021 Share Posted December 22, 2021 The fact they are adding additional charges would suggest either other girls have now got the confidence to come forward or they've been building enough evidence for each case before charging. He's innocent until proven guilty but the fact there are so many girls involved and the police are taking their time with charges doesn't look good at all. There are a lot of bad people in this world, but as we have seen with several cases some of the worst cases are those who hold the power of money or fame. It's almost become the norm to hear people claim a girls a liar if they claim assault from a footballer. Some just see them as slappers who have tried desperately to put themselves in a position to be around these people. If he's a sexual predator he's had all the best tools in the book to get himself in a position to commit his crimes. Who knows what has gone through his head, fame, power. I'm a firm believer a lot of young mens minds have been messed up by hard-core porn. Whilst they may well know that porn isn't real it doesn't mean they might find the whole dominance and aggression thing a turn on. Don't know how that relates to Mendy and don't think it affects the other accusations unless they were somehow linked. Either way, whether Mendy is guilty of the other accusations or not, this woman should definitely be punished in some way for this accusation. One of the cases was thrown out as it was proved one of the women was making stuff up. This then allowed the prosecution to cast doubt on the other allegations. BUT, that's not to say what Mendy got up to wasn't disgusting and dodgy as fuck. Inviting girls back via an older man to his house to have sex. The women shouldn't be branded liars. But that's a societal thing and those who lack the actual detail of the case, and just make seriously misinformed assumptions. It was apparently a hung jury. So there wasn't enough 'guilty' verdicts to find him guilty of the charges put up against him. Also, there's due to be a retrial on 2 of the charges anyway. I'd say it's safe to assume there must have been something a bit creepy, or out of the ordinary, about whatever was going on. But, he should be treated as not guilty though now. In the hypothetical he is actually really innocent in these cases, his whole career/brand has been tarnished and god knows what insecurities and trauma he now has as a result. Mendy was named and shamed long before he had a trial and in this particular instance has been proven innocent but the damage is done now... The police would always say they name people in the hopes that others will come forward but I think they should keep it under wraps until they have their trial and then if found guilty then name and shame them and if others come forward as a result of that conviction then they could just add further charges and extend the punishment...
