I think the thing I found most weird was that it was fucking Leicester. I expect it from United or Chelsea. You might get other fanbases sing it once and then forget about it. They were relentless and revelling in it though. Celebrating the saved penalty with a chorus of Feed the Scousers. Truly bizarre.

I assume their fans want us to think of them the same way we think of Wolves.

Which Tbf I do now. Honestly I just lump all the midlands clubs together now except Aston Villa: Tory cunts that sing about us because signing about themselves requires more creativity than the fan base could ever muster up.

Just want to point out I don't want to ever be lumped in with any fans that sing 'Feed the Scousers'. Never have sang it in the ground and never will. Don't condone it all.

Much like any sane sensible fan won't agree or like or join in with 'small town in Baghdad' or 'town full of Pakis' when it's sang at the KP.

Agree with all that @Danny says. First step is calling it out. Second step is making people aware of a) problems closer to home (poverty and homelessness exists everywhere, sadly) and b) what can people do to help the situation i.e. foodbank donations.

We've got a foodbank donation set up at the ground for our game against Norwich on NYD. It seems pretty hypocritical/ironic but this is something we've done for years, having the foodbank donation area outside the stadium. The fact there needs to be one is a problem in itself (and for another topic). The kind of chants heard last night and last week might make people think the whole fanbase are hypocrites. Not the case because it's not every Leicester fan that thinks it's okay to sing it and isn't what should be coming out of the whole debacle. There's plenty of chants or actions from certain bellend-esque sections of every crowd from most clubs that are outdated or unwelcome. I've seen people mimic a helicopter crash in the away end at Leicester - worst one was a Chelsea fan doing it, totally missing the irony that their own owner also died in a helicopter crash several years ago.

My point being that the whole division and generalisations also need to stop. Can't tar everyone with the same brush purely because it's unfair and just disingenuous.

I agree with all of this.

But I do think that Liverpool fans have generally been hit with a whole lot of sweeping generalisations that aren’t very nice for most of our lives.

So yeah I know you’re not a dickhead, mate. I like to think that you and I on a personal level are… friends… even though we’ve only talked online/WhatsApp.

I’ve known you for like half my life now or something mental like that. So please don’t think I’m lumping you into the Leicester fans I’ve generalised just there.

But at the same time, when that shit gets sung at our fans and it’s that many people in the opposition support, our fanbase is going to pretty reasonably going to form opinions about those chants. And because it’s a large swathe of Leicester fans it’s going to lead to sweeping generalisations.

I agree it’s not fair, but it’s a byproduct of tribalism in football. And it’s not even so bad, now when Leicester come to Anfield they’ll just get some of that “fuck the tories” chant. And you’ll agree with that chant xD

Still waiting for evidence of me calling scousers ‘bin dippers’. Again, use the search function and back your claims up. Otherwise, apologise and rescind the post. Or get banned. It’s up to you really.

Not a fucking chance am I having someone claim that shite when it’s not true.

Chelsea score. Twice Lukaku hits Maupay in the head with his arm but a goal remains.

What did VAR not see?

Having said that, it's Maupay who got away with lynching Vestergaard's arm off at their place so I have little sympathy.

My claim was without foundation, I retract it and apologise.

We are providing City with a test here and I’m glad for that, with our squad being depleted and some of the first half performances we’ve put in it’s hard not to see a thumping on the cards. But the lads have played really well even with being 1-0 down

You’re joking? Red card for lightly stepping on someone’s leg?

Come on, you can't seriously think he's done it by accident. He's gone in and intentionally left a little on him. Maybe a red is harsh but the intent is there.

I agree he’s done it on purpose but watch it in full flow, there is next to no force going through his foot and Fernandinho makes a meal out of it.

That was fucking abysmal.... I mean truly bad

We can kiss any hopes of a title challenge goodbye with that result... Pulisic and CHO were awful. That team shoud have been more than capable of getting a result tonight... Brighton played like it was a relegation decider, fair play to them they got a draw which was the least they deserved...
