I'd be interested to hear others thoughts. I am becoming quite dismayed at the notion continually further imbibing itself into western psyche that anything at all that offends anyone must be brow beaten by the masses and SJWs in a storm of outrage until it is withdrawn or changed. No because aside from some whiney Indian in NY the rest of humanity doesn’t give a fuck. Fairy In Boots
Jihad means struggle. As in the struggle to impose Islam on the non believers, the struggle within. The word itself isn’t really offensive. I jihad to take a big dump sometimes. Why must this policing of words take place on here? It’s all about context and always has been in every single conversation on here. This sanitised communication is boring, it blocks things like. If there’s a player named something jihad then great, do his post game interviews involve a knife and a journalist held hostage? If he scores a goal does he get 72 virgins? I never knew jihad it in him Jihad is terrorising the defence are his tackles refered to as hijacks? Dr. Gonzo
Trump's new lead counsel... Rudy Giuliani (for some reason lol) went on Hannity's show and said two things that are contradictory with their former legal strategy: 1.) Comey was fired for failing to publicly exonerate the president (before any investigation was concluded mind you) - so obstruction of justice; 2.) Said Trump paid his attorney Cohen back for the hush money to the pornstar Trump fucked, which may indicate that Trump lied on his financial disclosure forms while running for President. Anyone who's ever heard Giuliani speak could probably tell you he's not too bright, let alone a good lawyer (especially in the incredibly litigatious U.S.A) - but then again, this is Trump we're talking about. So that's an interesting development for him.
Dr. Gonzo
Looks like Trump is pulling the United States out of the Iran Nuclear Deal. Iran and all of the other countries involved in the deal say they're willing to continue with the deal in place, just without the US participating. Thus, the US is willingly taking itself out of being a power broker in the Middle East - giving the UK, France, Germany, Russia and China all considerably more credibility in the region. Trump's foreign policy, or absence of foreign policy, is likely going to cause a major shift in geo-politics. Trade wars and a reluctance to properly and productively engage with the international community serve only to further isolate America. And it can be hard to have a true "America First" agenda if nobody wants to work with you.

Ironically it was Khomeini that ended the plan for a nuclear Iran because he felt nuclear power was "un-Islamic" - now the mullahs want nuclear weapons as insurance against Western backed regime change. I always think that's a bit funny. But ceding influence in the Middle East is something unlike any US president. But that doesn't mean foreign meddling for oil will stop - now the EU, China and Russia can sense they can take some of the space the US is giving up. Harry
It was a terrible deal. It was so one sided. If Trump had negotiated it would have been an incredible deal that was good for everyone, but great for America. Great for all but definitely better for America than for anyone else. Even with exactly the same terms and conditions and unchanged in any other respect from what Obama signed it would have been a great deal if trump had signed it. It would have been the best deal in the entire history of deals.

Dr. Gonzo
I'm now watching an admitted torturer's confirmation hearing as CIA director. I can't believe I'm watching this but I want to see what they ask her. And what her answers are. If she's confirmed that's a shame, because she's a torturer and if she's promoted despite that it sends a terrible message. Lol and btw Trump has threatened to "pull press credentials" of critical media. What a gigantic snowflake.

That predates Trump and among other things comes from the US lack of exposure to the consequences of unstability in the MENA (*let's draw a thick veil over the Libya Euro fuck-up and Sarkozy, though) and the slavish subservience to Israel. But I did not expect the Europe-USA geopolitical antagonization to arrive that soon (already pointing towards a possible economic disruption of EU-US relations at no gain) neither I expected the calamitous approach by the US at playing its hand and looking the non rational/non reliable actor. Lose lose for both EU and US. While euro countries may sell war toys to the saudis, in the end they need the cold Saudi Arabia-Iran cold war to stay cold/proxy. On related news UAE just took Soqotra Island.
6666
Didn't Iran pretty much just bend over in this deal because the US held Iran's assets hostage...? What exactly did this band of morons running the American government see that was supposedly going against them? Great deal from America's perspective but Saudi Arabia and Israel don't like Iran so everything has to get flushed down the toilet? That bell end Netanyahu even did a PowerPoint presentation about violations that only Israel know about... just so Trump could claim that as evidence a couple of weeks later. Obviously not planned... Not sure trump really has genuine reasons to do things like this. His process is simpler than that. He watched Fox News during the Obama era. Fox said the deal was bad. He nodded his agreement at the tv while he stuffed down a bucket of fried chicken and the seed was planted. He had absorbed it as fact. As president he goes with his gut and his gut told him it was a bad deal.
