Reluctant Striker Posted February 17, 2023 Posted February 17, 2023 Arteta getting in the early excuse. Arsenal shouldn't be playing the 12:30pm kick off. Difficult 1 to call. Both sides form has dipped significantly.
Fairy In Boots Posted February 18, 2023 Posted February 18, 2023 Mings really does make us a different animal, he makes errors occasionally but the difference is massive.
Administrator Stan Posted February 18, 2023 Author Administrator Posted February 18, 2023 Just started watching. Lovely goal from Villa. Nice dummy for Coutinho. Arsenal really wobbling.
Administrator Stan Posted February 18, 2023 Author Administrator Posted February 18, 2023 Did none of the officials see the holding at that corner?
Fairy In Boots Posted February 18, 2023 Posted February 18, 2023 That half sums us up, capable of brilliance and calamity in equal measure
Rick Posted February 18, 2023 Posted February 18, 2023 I’m more and more convinced Arsenal are going to finish 3rd or 4th. The first real signs of adversity this season and they’re shitting it. Need to see a lot more from them in these times.
Bluewolf Posted February 18, 2023 Posted February 18, 2023 It's not unusual to see Arsenal tail off at some point late on in the season but was hoping they might have had a bit more in their locker... Still, games not over yet, they could turn this around..
Administrator Stan Posted February 18, 2023 Author Administrator Posted February 18, 2023 Good strike from Zinchenko!
Administrator Stan Posted February 18, 2023 Author Administrator Posted February 18, 2023 Golden chance for Arsenal. How has Odegaard missed?
OrangeKhrush Posted February 18, 2023 Posted February 18, 2023 Just now, Stan said: Golden chance for Arsenal. How has Odegaard missed? Pressure, it does things to players. Arsenal are punching up and it is taking its toll. They are feeling the pressure
Administrator Stan Posted February 18, 2023 Author Administrator Posted February 18, 2023 Hahaha gutted Martinez. Couldn't have happened to a nicer person
Fairy In Boots Posted February 18, 2023 Posted February 18, 2023 30 years of it, it’s not even shocking anymore such a cursed football club
Administrator Stan Posted February 18, 2023 Author Administrator Posted February 18, 2023 2nd home game in a row Villa go 1-0 and 2-1 up and lose 4-2.
Administrator Stan Posted February 18, 2023 Author Administrator Posted February 18, 2023 His own time-wasting led to time for his OG For such a dislikeable player, this is great
Inverted Posted February 18, 2023 Posted February 18, 2023 His massive head has somehow metaphorically and literally cost his team.
Juniper Posted February 18, 2023 Posted February 18, 2023 Full time match report from the BBC sport website. Anyone find this strange? Unai Emery's Aston Villa denied his former club Arsenal the chance to go back to the top of the Premier League as they played out a dramatic draw at Villa Park. Villa twice went ahead through Ollie Watkins and Philippe Coutinho in the firstt half as they hosts pressed high early on. They were pegged back by strikes from Bukayo Saka and Oleksandr Zinchenko either side of the break, but Villa's defensive strength was evident as they earned a deserved point. Mikel Arteta's side remain level on points with Manchester City, but are now winless in three league games There was an electric pace to the game from the off, and Villa took the lead inside five minutes through Watkins' fourth goal in as many games. He caught the Gunners cold on the counter, latching onto Matty Cash's long pass before beating William Saliba and finishing off the far post. It took just 11 minutes for Arsenal to respond, though. Moments after Tyrone Mings cleared Eddie Nketiah's shot onto the bar, Saka levelled with a powerful effort into the roof of the net, giving Emi Martinez no chance. Coutinho, in for his first league start under Emery, put the hosts back in front just past the half-hour mark, rounding off a wonderful team move with a calm finish from inside the area. On the hour, Zinchenko found space at the edge of the box and fired into the near post from a short corner, restoring parity with his first Gunners goal, before Nketiah fired over minutes later. Odegaard missed a golden opportunity to put Arsenal ahead 14 minutes from time, sliding a shot wide after being played in Nketiah's left-hand cross, before Aaron Ramsdale denied substitute Leon Bailey n a breathless finish.
Machado Posted February 18, 2023 Posted February 18, 2023 This game was well worth sitting on the couch for 90+ minutes. Great effort and team spirit by Arsenal. Only a proper team would pull that off.
Reluctant Striker Posted February 18, 2023 Posted February 18, 2023 Arsenal really had to throw the kitchen sink at that. And finally got ahead in stoppage time. Quite a run of games ahead that should really say more about where Villa really are. But I hope the summer window is significant. Losing 2, against anyone, after scoring 2 at home, is miles off.
Cicero Posted February 18, 2023 Posted February 18, 2023 Jorginho won’t ever score a better goal than that and they’ve given it as an OG
