Subscriber JoshBRFC+ Posted March 7, 2017 Subscriber Posted March 7, 2017 Fans of the show? Best thing on TV? These shows deserve their own threads.. I'm still eager for news on the next series, it's been longer than usual!? Quote
Jay Posted March 7, 2017 Posted March 7, 2017 Just finished reading the books which I found quite heavy going. I'll need to give the series a watch now! Quote

Administrator Batard Posted March 9, 2017 Administrator Posted March 9, 2017 I'm hoping beyond hope for an awesome ending to the series culminating in a fuck off huge fight with all factions. Quote
Eco Posted March 9, 2017 Posted March 9, 2017 Anyone that has read the books realize that a certain cliffhanger in the books, was blatantly absent from the show? Quote
Harry Posted March 9, 2017 Posted March 9, 2017 You're saying just one such occurrence? The ramsay letter? At this point the show has diverged massively from the books imo to the point they're almost completely different. Quote

Do you mean LSH? They teased that plotline but it's definitely not going to happen now with only 16(?) episodes to go. It looks like everything that doesn't directly contribute to the endgame is being cut. I can't wait for GoT to come back, I need another weekly show full of crazy fan theories now that Westworld is finished Quote
Eco Posted March 9, 2017 Posted March 9, 2017 A certain main character that isn't as dead as we thought. Thought doing that scene would have been a great season finale. Quote

Thought doing that scene would have been a great season finale. Agreed. Although having it the first episode of the new season wasn't too bad. Battle of the Bastards still the best episode to date. Spoiler below Quote I wonder if Jon will take the throne? If it were a binding marriage, then he is next in line and not the dragon queen. Quote
Takyon Posted March 9, 2017 Posted March 9, 2017 Season 7 has just been announced for the 16th of July. There's a little teaser with the announcement too: Quote
Devil-Dick Willie Posted March 9, 2017 Posted March 9, 2017 I read and loved the books. Loved the first 2 seasons of the show as well, but ever since it gets worse and worse and lets itself down by dumbing things down and providing ceaseless fan service. I will watch it to the end however, I want to see how they chose to progress and end. Quote

Harry Posted March 10, 2017 Posted March 10, 2017 Fkn July! I just assumed it would land April/May like always. Quote
Cicero Posted March 15, 2017 Posted March 15, 2017 Really looking forward to the next season. Can see both outcomes of Jon and Daenerys going at it for the right of throne or working together. . This would make Jon able to tame Dragons as well. Hopefully the rumors are true and they will show Robert's Rebellion. Infact, I would like to see several episodes that showed the events leading up to the rebellion. I wonder who will be playing Rhaegar and a younger Robert? Quote
Devil-Dick Willie Posted March 16, 2017 Posted March 16, 2017 Shit teaser. 'Lets replay some lines from previous seasons and reveal nothing at all. That will get people keen!' Quote
Cicero Posted March 21, 2017 Posted March 21, 2017 Just realised the actor that plays the hound plays Yarp from Hot Fuzz 1 Quote
Rick Posted March 26, 2017 Posted March 26, 2017 This show was the best on TV for a couple of years, and it still has its moments, but like Tanksie said, it bows down to the comic con fans too much now. Quote

Then is brought back to life in the first episode of season 6, where it would of worked better as a season finale rather than the first episode of a new season. Edited March 27, 2017 by Cannabis I don't watch GOT but surely this is a spoiler for someone that is and hasn't got round to that part yet? Quote
Rick Posted March 27, 2017 Posted March 27, 2017 Yes, that for me is the worst culprit, but there have been others too. Quote

Perhaps not down to the absolute intricacies but as I say... just let me know. I'll try my best to read them as soon as possible. Quote
