It seems like your board kidnapped Ten Hag, even the timing is perfect since he got sacked, City started losing non-stop.

Id settle for a C team at the minute nevermind an A or B team ..we have 12 players over 30, the cycle has ended and the teams dead, injurys have just finished it off, we lack quality depth

6666 Posted Saturday at 20:38 Share Posted Saturday at 20:38 Ødegaard makes such a massive to our play. Struggle to create anything without him. Solid performance today from the team against a side that has impressed so far. As for Man City, the last time they looked this bad was when they were a real club. Subscriber Dan+ Posted Sunday at 07:09 Subscriber Share Posted Sunday at 07:09 I really am sick of us papering over the cracks with pointless goals. We have got to sack this manager. Fucking horrendous performance. Again.

How do you think you might have done if Maresca had stayed with Leicester?? Still think you would have been struggling or might he have got a bit more from the squad?? Personally I don't think Leicester have the depth of squad to push for much more than mid table perhaps as things stand now... Difficult to judge him with the swap to Chelsea considering the amount of players he has to pick from.. We'd be considerably better and I say that as somebody who had reservations about Maresca. He was one-dimensional but he at least had an idea. Cooper I genuinely couldn't tell you what he wants to do.
OrangeKhrush Posted Sunday at 07:58 Share Posted Sunday at 07:58 City have sold off players like Palmer, Lavia, Delap, Harwood Bellis and Alvarez while buying flops like Graelish, Phillips and Doku. The core is also aging, Gundogan, Walker and De Bruyne are well past prime now.
Dave Posted Sunday at 08:02 Share Posted Sunday at 08:02 Any point we get against Aston Villa, Newcastle, Man City, Brighton, Arsenal and Bournemouth is going to feel like a win given our squad depth issues so I'm very happy with the performance. The referee is worth a mention. I can't remember the last time I saw a ref booed by both sets of supporters. Which is quite telling of how bad of a game it was. Yesterday showed why VAR will never be 100% brilliant as some referees think any contact warrants a penalty but the overall VAR rule needs a review too. It seems completely unfair to me that the VAR official can't point out to the referee there was a foul when Villa gained possession to get to the penalty call. It's part of the same move. Dave Posted Sunday at 08:07 Share Posted Sunday at 08:07 Hopefully other teams notice what happens when you take a cog out a system team and we'll see less of these boring Pep Disciple teams curing insomnia for 90 minutes.

If a player doesn't get the ball he doesn't impact games much. Absolute revelation. I think you're both right to a certain extent. You need service and it is a team game. But we had a similar problem with Ruud. When the supply line was cut off then these types of strikers can be like spare parts. I think the best way is to categories strikers. In one pool you have strikers like Haaland and Ruud etc. Unreal finishers in the penalty box, and with regular service will bang in shit loads of goals. On the other hand you have Suatez, Rooney, Tevez and your Henry's. Not as prolific. they score less and do more for the team, they key is that they can conjure things up without service. They work the channels, are heavily involved in link up play and even come deep to help with defensive work
Dave Posted Sunday at 09:58 Share Posted Sunday at 09:58 Ealing Haaland has much more to his game than Ruud ever did.

I think he only had about 5 touches of the ball the entire game and two of them were defensive touches.. They can't do much if they don't get the ball

I have them in the same bracket as service reliant strikers. No doubt that Haaland is much quicker but Ruud had better hold up play, even so I felt his hold up play slowed things down. Even so they both score most of their goals in the box, without doubt Haaland can and has scored from outside the box. He has a sweet strike on him and I reckon he has a bigger dick. Dr. Gonzo Posted Sunday at 12:30 Share Posted Sunday at 12:30 If Pep loses 110 more games in a row, then googling “Man City 115” will show different results. Might be an easy solution to fix City’s reputation?
