Jeez Shaq looks like a bargain looking at all these. Sanchez is what the third highest payed player behind Neymar and Messi?

Apparently it's:-

1. Messi - £40.5 million per year

2. Neymar - £31.7 million

3. Alexis Sanchez - £23.4 million

4. Oscar - £21.1 million

5. Lavezzi - £20.3 million per year

6. Cristiano Ronaldo - £18.5 million per year

7. Hulk - £17.6 million

8. Mbappe - £15.9 million

9. Pogba - £15.3 million

10. Pelle - £15 million

(I don't know how true it is, and would have thought C.Ronaldo would be higher up than that?)

Those Chinese clubs really do overpay as there is no way Oscar, Lavezzi, Pelle and Hulk would be earning that in Europe. It's scandalous and it's no wonder why a lot of talented players are starting to leave very good clubs, for shite ones in China where they disappear and you forget they are playing. It's sad to see.

Also Mbappe, 15.9 million a year for a teenager. Jesus. He is special talent, but earning too much too young may end up having a negative impact on the lad.

In fact, here is the one in euros from Marca(which is from before the Sanchez signing) and there is also Tevez on this one, who is no longer with the Chinese club:-

So yes, it appears as though Sanchez is the third highest earned in the world right now.

Defoe's wage is a fucking joke. What on earth were they thinking?

That's on a three year contract as well. Jesus Christ.

Goodness me, a tinpot club like that trying to offload Defoe after relegation next year will be comical.xD

Kane's wage actually looks incredibly ludicrous now.

Considering he's won the last three golden boot's and scored over 20 goals in four successive seasons, he has every right to be thinking he deserves more, especially as he is the most indispensable player at his club.

It would be interesting to know how much Spurs would break their wage structure to reward him when the big clubs come circling ready to double or possibly even triple his current wage.

This. He should be winning silverware and Spurs are currently 5th, which doesn't reflect poorly on themselves as they've done a great job the last couple of years finishing 2nd and 3rd, but a player like him needs to be playing for a big club. If Spurs didn't have the new WHL to be going to I'd imagine he'd be off in the Summer, but I reckon he'll want to stick around for at least one season there.

It's actually staggering. I can't work out what goes through their heads. He didn't even end at Sunderland particularly well either. He's had a very good career but that was a brain dead signing by Bournemouth. Total waste of money.

Him being on more than Kane is mental.

Did they not get him on a free? Those wages amount to £20m over a three year period, a lot to pay for a 35 year old but his wages were always going to go up considering his goal scoring record and his free transfer.

They did but that's one hell of a gamble to take on someone of that age. Poor signing and I said so at the time.

How long do you think you can keep him for without winning anything?

Years yet. Minimum 2 - but likely longer.

Some players are different - Kane has every intention of breaking all sorts of Premier League and Tottenham records for his club, whilst I appreciate there may come a time he has to move on if progression stalls, it won't be for some time. We'll break the wage structure for him no doubt about it. I'm not concerned with him leaving at all.

Doesn't he turn 25 this Summer? Time's running out for him in terms of consistently winning top honours, likely longer will be at Spurs until he's 28/29. You lot can't get close to a league title with him in his current form, can't see that changing too much over the next few years with Guardiola and Mourinho in the league.

Fair play if he wants to stay at Spurs for as long as he can, boyhood club and all that will carry a lot more weight for him than anyone else there.

He’d be wasting his career both financially and in every other sense by staying at Spurs, other than loyalty.

If he stays at Spurs he’ll be financially a lot worse off whilst having won nothing when being one of the best No9’s in the world.

That would be criminal and he knows it.

Yeah, still plenty of time for him, I think if he gets to 28 then sure...but for now I think he's very content. Zero indication he wants to go anywhere. I'm under no illusions that eventually the pressures to move on may get to him, but for now he truly wants to be the best ever for us, and in the Premier League, and it's certainly possible. We do have to get players around him though, but that's what the stadium is for.

Records are good and that, but they can be broken again by someone else but you can’t take away a Premier League, La Liga or Champions League medal and realistically, he’s not going too win two out of those three at Tottenham, at present or within the next couple of years, in which time, he’ll turn 27 that summer. That’s far too late for a ‘big’ move, I reckon.

A good end to the season, goals at the World Cup and a good 18/19 in front of goal and he’s off next summer, for me.

You’re not concerned with him leaving or if he leaves?

I think in a case such as Kane’s we’re talking more about what he thinks he can achieve at club level in terms of winning the top honours.  If he thinks he can achieve that at Tottenham, then he won’t move but if he has doubts, there are specialists around Europe in making you believe that the move benefits you. It’s not even just that but also the brand names associated with the player that pushes them into making a changing decision.

Not concerned with him leaving yet. I'd be devastated if he leaves, he's my favourite footballer ever.

That's pretty much what I said - I agree with you. I just don't think it will be for a few years yet. Kane has said numerous times, he wants to be a one club man if possible, he wants all this at Tottenham, and he'll give it every chance to happen. But as you say I am sure the pressure will get to him in a few years if that path is still closed. We'll see. I think people underestimate his loyalty to the club, even if they are making pragmatic points.

Not a chance he leaves next summer. I said it's a minimum of two years, probably longer. He'll sign a massive new deal this summer I think. Levy won't sell him unless he has no other option.

No trophies or no closer to trophies and a good World Cup and 20+ goal 18/19 and teams will come sniffing in the summer of 2019, whether Spurs sell, I don’t know, but I reckon that will be when his head gets turned for the first time.

Aaron Mooy is better than half the players on that list, yet he's at the bottom of the list.

Christian Cueva is better than a lot of players on that list yet he's playing for Sao Paulo. Nationalities win in the end, although when it comes to English I can understand it given they are the domestic players.
