Did you know Jermaine Defoe has only scored 4 goals in his last 30 appearances.

Still has 2 and a half more years earning £130k a week

This ‘little old’ Bournemouth bollocks is still going? They’re a club who have money pumped into them from foreign shores, it’s no romantic football story some like to believe.

Bournemouth have done phenominally well to get where they are (and stay there).

So would most teams if they were bankrolled by Russians, who are prepared to pay in excess of 100k a week to players.

I think it's used sarcastically here given they're an oil funded club that play some of the dirtiest football in the league.

Mkhitaryan hasn’t done absolutely anything yet to have deserved that amount of money.  We’re all over the place and you can bet a few players are going to be knocking on some doors at The Emirates.

Apart from that, I can’t believe some of the clubs that are paying so much to their players. Clubs that shouldn’t be!

1st Chilean to play for man utd! Once again, the simpletons bring up the wage. ECONOMIC 101!!! They didn't just but any chilean, they bought the best Chilean player. The simpletons fail to realize that the team didnt only added a great player, but the brand just expanded to a new market! The same brand that is at the top when it comes to profiting.

Jesus Christ! The wage of sanchez is nothing compare to the money man utd will make off this move itself. The team will not only profit off the chileans, but more importantly, the profit off the North America/Hispanic market will bring in *Donald trump voice* millions and millions and millions...that itself and playing in the top-earning league justifies the wage.

The transfer itself, has been all over the American sport media and the Spanish-talking sport media here and domestically. Those two markets are not known for their wide-coverage/exposure of European football leagues(apart from quick highlights and very few headlines at the bottom of the screen). Only the elite teams (barcelona, RM, and Man Utd) get extra coverage/exposure, especially when it involves a local player. FFS arsenal and the Armenian player barely get mention.

You lot seriously think man utd is sweating that fucking wage. Making this kind of investment is a must for the top-earning club. This type of investment is necessary to continue filling up stadiums WORLDWIDE.(the opposing fans criticizing this move have NEVER/will never witness their club filling up the majority of a neutral stadium(80/90% of the capacity, versus REAL MADRID!!) You will never see Liverpool, chelsea, or citehh outnumber RM or Barcelona when it comes to attendance, by a small margin...the fucking stadium looked like the red sea. A spanish newspaper had to shamefully alter a picture of the stadium! I don't blame them for moaning/crying about the transfer, but I know and they know that it has nothing to do with the fee. regardless of how beautiful your team plays or how "negative" man utd is, those teams can only dream of joining the list of elite teams.

To simplify it, Man Utd is out here playing chess like a boss  while chelsea/citehh are playing checkers and liverpool/arsenal are playing hungry hippos!!! So far, Mourinho and Woodward have only delivered Ws. Regardless of fee or if they play for a PL top team, Mourinho and Woodward have yet to know the meaning of no deal! Pogba (check) matic (check) and now sanchez... not only do they deliver but they have the leverage to keep a player (de Gea) from joining RM (Ronnie was a mutual decision)if barcelona or RM want a player from liverpool or Chelsea, they will put up a small fight but its a sir balon no pants fight. they know that eventually RM or Barcelona will bend them and smash it so instead of fighting it, they voluntarily drop the pants and hope for a few more millions ... Man utd doesn't have to fight that fight! Keeping de Gea or getting wc talents like sanchez or Pogba was never about money... Its all about control and power/influence that only man utd and the two Spanish giants have.... Regardless of how much Qatar money man citehh throws around, they can only dream of joining/competing with the three giants.

That list is more than likely bullshit, nobody knows to the penny what every team plays for every player.

Sanchez is 5% of United's probable earnings for the duration of his contract.

Considering he was probably the most in-form playmaker in Europe a season and a half ago, he certainly was right to demand a big wage when he went to United.

And I guess we wasn’t willing to take a major pay cut when he could sit it out at United instead.

Defoe, 35 years old, 3 years to run on contract, earning more than Kane, it's a great deal to end his career, what were Bournemouth thinking there, surely they'd impose some sort of cap considering their ranking and probable league finishes with him leading the line.

Kane's wage actually looks incredibly ludicrous now.

Considering he's won the last three golden boot's and scored over 20 goals in four successive seasons, he has every right to be thinking he deserves more, especially as he is the most indispensable player at his club.

It would be interesting to know how much Spurs would break their wage structure to reward him when the big clubs come circling ready to double or possibly even triple his current wage.

Apparently it's:-

1. Messi - £40.5 million per year

2. Neymar - £31.7 million

3. Alexis Sanchez - £23.4 million

4. Oscar - £21.1 million

5. Lavezzi - £20.3 million per year

6. Cristiano Ronaldo - £18.5 million per year

7. Hulk - £17.6 million

8. Mbappe - £15.9 million

9. Pogba - £15.3 million

10. Pelle - £15 million

(I don't know how true it is, and would have thought C.Ronaldo would be higher up than that?)

Those Chinese clubs really do overpay as there is no way Oscar, Lavezzi, Pelle and Hulk would be earning that in Europe. It's scandalous and it's no wonder why a lot of talented players are starting to leave very good clubs, for shite ones in China where they disappear and you forget they are playing. It's sad to see.

Also Mbappe, 15.9 million a year for a teenager. Jesus. He is special talent, but earning too much too young may end up having a negative impact on the lad.
