Smiley Culture 1,650
This ‘little old’ Bournemouth bollocks is still going? They’re a club who have money pumped into them from foreign shores, it’s no romantic football story some like to believe.

So would most teams if they were bankrolled by Russians, who are prepared to pay in excess of 100k a week to players.

I think it's used sarcastically here given they're an oil funded club that play some of the dirtiest football in the league.

SirBalon 2,683
Mkhitaryan hasn’t done absolutely anything yet to have deserved that amount of money. We’re all over the place and you can bet a few players are going to be knocking on some doors at The Emirates. Apart from that, I can’t believe some of the clubs that are paying so much to their players. Clubs that shouldn’t be!

Considering he was probably the most in-form playmaker in Europe a season and a half ago, he certainly was right to demand a big wage when he went to United. And I guess we wasn’t willing to take a major pay cut when he could sit it out at United instead.

DNA 107
Defoe, 35 years old, 3 years to run on contract, earning more than Kane, it's a great deal to end his career, what were Bournemouth thinking there, surely they'd impose some sort of cap considering their ranking and probable league finishes with him leading the line.
Lucas 3,636
Kane's wage actually looks incredibly ludicrous now. Considering he's won the last three golden boot's and scored over 20 goals in four successive seasons, he has every right to be thinking he deserves more, especially as he is the most indispensable player at his club. It would be interesting to know how much Spurs would break their wage structure to reward him when the big clubs come circling ready to double or possibly even triple his current wage. Sanchez is what the third highest payed player behind Neymar and Messi? Apparently it's:- 1. Messi - £40.5 million per year 2. Neymar - £31.7 million 3. Alexis Sanchez - £23.4 million 4. Oscar - £21.1 million 5. Lavezzi - £20.3 million per year 6. Cristiano Ronaldo - £18.5 million per year 7. Hulk - £17.6 million 8. Mbappe - £15.9 million 9. Pogba - £15.3 million 10. Pelle - £15 million (I don't know how true it is, and would have thought C.Ronaldo would be higher up than that?) Those Chinese clubs really do overpay as there is no way Oscar, Lavezzi, Pelle and Hulk would be earning that in Europe. It's scandalous and it's no wonder why a lot of talented players are starting to leave very good clubs, for shite ones in China where they disappear and you forget they are playing. It's sad to see. Also Mbappe, 15.9 million a year for a teenager. Jesus. He is special talent, but earning too much too young may end up having a negative impact on the lad. Carnivore Chris 2,486
In fact, here is the one in euros from Marca(which is from before the Sanchez signing) and there is also Tevez on this one, who is no longer with the Chinese club:- So yes, it appears as though Sanchez is the third highest earned in the world right now.
