What on earth has happened to this thread? Bloody Yoghurts?! Fuck sake John... xD

Anyway, I made my first actual Pie this afternoon. Didn't know whether to go sweet or savoury so tried an Apple Pie.

Pretty chuffed with that. Can't wait to destroy that later with some custard.

@Lucas I don't like apple in pies but that crust looks delightful.

Question - how do you upload to TFF as it looks like that image is?

Bottom right all i have is the option from a URL or an existing attachment i've already uploaded.

It came out well to be fair, I'm gonna try it as a Steak Pie next time.

Do you have 'Click to choose files' at the bottom of a post? Like this?

No, I don’t.

Salmon and prawn skewers tonight...

Looks nice, never had prawn or salmon for ages, Liz rustled up some chicken with roast tatties and cauliflower with cheese sauce for lunch, I quite enjoyed it and I watched her making the cheese sauce so I think I will give that a bash sometime.

I love a bit of salmon! It's also one of my daughters favourites.

@nudge your dishes always look professional!

And also make me hungry.

Agree. @nudge should go on a Masterchef competition.

Fuck off xD you present your food very well. @CaaC (John) could give you a run for your money though. Would be great competition.

Don't fancy meeting @nudge on Masterchef for a challenge she would claw my eyes out.

Nope sorry. I'm not a massive Seafood fan unfortunately. Don't mind Tuna if it has some mayo in it and prawns are ok but other than that I struggle. I've tried to like Salmon but I just can't.

That along with Mushrooms are like my worst nightmare xD

You've redeemed yourself there then. Can't stand mushrooms either. Hate the smell and texture and taste of them. Food hell!

I'm not in to seafood too much either. Prawns are the most I'll stretch to. Much prefer the traditional fish - salmon, haddock, cod, hake, tilapia, plaice, sole, pollock. Don't like tuna though!

Mushrooms are great, you don't know what you're talking about! :P

I used to hate mushrooms as a kid but now I’m a fan.

I used to hate every single seafood unless it was battered fish from a fish and chip shop. I don’t eat much seafood now, just fish really. Hate prawns, octopus... lobster and crab are bang average.

Lobster is the most overrated food ever.

I have tried it once, at a Wedding and only because I was fucking hungry and curious...it was grim.

Fuck would I pay £30/40 for that at a restaurant.

Agreed!!!

I went up to a famous spot north of Perth earlier this year that has “unreal lobster” and the whole town is basically about lobsters. I shared half a lobster with the gf and only ate some because I made sure I had a chip attached to it...

I think a lot of foods are definitely an acquired taste... There are plenty of things I disliked as a kid, but have grown to love throughout the years.

I don't get how people can say they hate mushrooms in general though, considering that mushrooms vary in flavour, smell and texture extremely, and the taste is also highly affected by the cooking method. You can't even compare a champignon with a chanterelle or a porcini, nevermind the rest of edible mushroom sorts.

Seafood I love too... Fish, prawns, mussels, crab, lobster, caviar, oysters, scallops, clams... just give me anything. But a lot of it is an acquired taste or even a cultural thing. Don't think a lot of people would love brined herring straight from a cask, but I think it's amazing xD

I consider myself a semi-skilled chef. And I take a great interest in the Italian cuisine, because it's my favourite. And as much as I like and respect you, all I can say to that is fuck off.
