Cahill isn't Asian really just because Australia compete under that confederation.

Li Tie, on the other hand...

AFC better said.

Cahill is the only player that is the best in history in 2 continents

(also the reason I'm not including Viduka and Kewell into the mix)

Park Ji Sung came to mind as the most talented.

Son's having a great season but until he wins something you can't really say he's the best ever (I'm not sure if South Korea have won anything nationally tbh).

Shinji Okazaki on the other hand. Premier League winners medal to his name. Son will never have that.

In your second paragraph, that's why I'm torn on between him and Cahill.

Son is more talented but not by a lot and Cahill fired his team to an Asian cup win. Also a big game player, Son is as well but Cahill is the king of clutch.

its an interesting debate, never the less. There is also a few middle eastern players who have done well, mostly from Iran.

Well football's evolved in terms of pace, technical ability etc. so in terms of quality Son would be the best.

In terms of quality to impact though I think he needs to win a couple of major trophies and have a very good World Cup to be considered on level with Park Ji-Sung.

Australia doesn't belong to any continent really, they are just a large island full of dangerous animals in the middle of nowhere. There is a reason why it used to be an over-sized version of Alcatraz .

Australia IS a continent you uneducated peasants. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Australia_(continent)

There are no agreed upon definitions of what the continent ares. I believe @Berserker @Blue certain Latin American countries don't differentiate between North and South America, the continent is just entirely 'America'.

Australia the country, isn't a continent. Australia however, is a continent.

Yes, here the Americas are regarded as a sole continent (América). North and South are just parts of it, same as Eastern Europe, Central, etc.

I'd say that depends more on the person. I do differentiate between them and a few of my friends also do, but I've met a couple people that don't and "america" is known as the west world and not the USA.
