The civil aviation standards need reassign and airline componies need to be audited more regularly for non compliance At the moment Boeing stock is up 2.06% - they’re taking a beating to their reputation right new, but in the U.S. they are quite literally too big to fail. They’re basically a part of the DoD but listed on the stock exchange. The best thing that can happen from this is Boeing being forced to rid itself of the managers and executives that were loaded onto it when they merged with McDonnell Douglas. What’s happened to Boeing is executives ignoring and silencing engineers while Boeing gotten an easier ride from regulators based off their history of success from their past. 1 Quote
Subscriber Mel81x+ Posted March 20 Subscriber Posted March 20 Their ties to DoD sums it all up really. They used to be the gold standard for safety not just in the aviation industry but across manufacturing as well. Then they merged with McDonnell and it all went south from there. They can still fix this but the I am surprised the FAA hasn't grounded more of their aircrafts to make the message more clear. The worst part of it all is that they also have a history of some of the worst aviation disasters we've ever seen as well. 1 Quote

Sad reality that war sells. I don't think all the blame is on Boeing but they do take a lot of it due to the design shortcuts taken to save money. Airline companies are sadly magnifying the situation by failing to upkeep their planes due to economic issues. United Airlines is one company that failed to do maintenance on time, that is frightening. Quote

United Airlines is one company that failed to do maintenance on time, that is frightening. The door plug popping off mid flight on the Alaska Air flight was Boeings fault. But the recent United incidents appear to be United just not doing proper maintenance. Big takeaways are don’t get on a 737-Supermax if you can avoid it & don’t fly United Quote

Good, these people are absolutely fucked up. I saw something about this almost a year ago: https://www.bbc.com/news/world-65951188 - I remember reading this part: Quote Mike Macartney, a key video distributor in the US known by his screen name, "The Torture King", agreed to speak to the BBC - and described the moment he joined his first Telegram monkey torture group. "They had a poll set up," Macartney said. "Do you want a hammer involved? Do you want pliers involved? Do you want a screwdriver?" The resulting video was "the most grotesque thing I have ever seen," he said. and thinking "what the fuck is wrong with people?!" I hope everyone involved with this animal abuse ring gets locked up.
