Azeem
Thanks to Pee Pee ( People's Party) it's is a party of scum of the earth feudals ruling Sindh province for decades. I'm pretty sure all crime networks there are under their patronage. They inducted all these fake licensee pilots in the national airline during their tenure in the fed govt. And they politicised it to the core, the current management tried to get rid of them but they are doing everything to stop them from working. I'm glad it's out in the open, the soon we get rid of this shit the better

Subscriber CaaC (John)+ Posted July 10, 2020 Subscriber Share Posted July 10, 2020 US Supreme Court rules half of Oklahoma is Native American land The US Supreme Court has ruled about half of Oklahoma belongs to Native Americans, in a landmark case that also quashed a child rape conviction. The justices decided 5-4 that an eastern chunk of the state, including its second-biggest city, Tulsa, should be recognised as part of a reservation. Jimcy McGirt, who was convicted in 1997 of raping a girl, brought the case. He cited the historical claim of the Muscogee (Creek) Nation to the land where the assault occurred. What does the ruling mean? Thursday's decision in McGirt v Oklahoma is seen as one of the most far-reaching cases for Native Americans before the highest US court in decades. The ruling means some tribe members found guilty in state courts for offences committed on the land at issue can now challenge their convictions. 'Apparently' he did it to tactfully search for weapons. Absolute bollocks on all counts. He's 'apparently' also stalked this woman for years and has a baby with her which he doesn't provide for. It's sickening even without all the baggage and history.

This actually has happened here in San Diego, with multiple officers. Just in the past few years. There's something weird about Americas policing culture, because so many cops are willing to abuse their position in pretty fucked up ways. And they never seem to care about the repercussions. Big blow for both imo, Huawei despite all the legitimate concerns can't be matched by Western counterparts. Huawei also has lost a big market

Machado
4 Palliative Canadians approved for end of life psilocybin therapy through section 56(1) ; First legal medical exemptions for psilocybin in Canada since 1970’s Four Canadians battling incurable cancer have been approved by the Minister of Health, Patty Hajdu, to use psilocybin therapy in the treatment of their end-of-life distress. These 4 patients mark the first publicly-known individuals to receive a legal exemption from the Canadian Drugs and Substances Act to access psychedelic therapy, and the first known patients to legally use psilocybin since the compound became illegal in Canada in 1974. The decision comes after over 100 days of waiting for a response. https://therapsil.ca/4-palliative-canadians-approved-for-end-of-life-psilocybin-therapy-through-section-561-first-legal-medical-exemptions-for-psilocybin-in-canada-since-1970s/

Fucking hell I remember feeling the force of a bomb in Benidorm back in 2003 when I'd have been 17 as ETA blew up a hotel near ours. It felt sort of like a mini earthquake and the sound was unreal. I've never seen anything like they cloud of smoke it produced either. But I can't imagine what this explosion must have been like. Jesus. It's like a mini nuclear bomb. Apparently it was even felt by some in Cyprus. Thoughts with all those in Beirut affected by it. That city(well the country of Lebanon) don't exactly have it easy at the best of times. Ammonium nitrate is what the cause was.
Eco
@Mpache - This is a pretty crazy report coming from Peru. Quote Hundreds of Peru women, girls gone missing during virus lockdown At least 1,200 disappearances reported across Latin American country since the start of coronavirus pandemic in March. Hundreds of women and girls have gone missing and are feared dead in Peru since a lockdown was imposed to curb the spread of the new coronavirus. From March 16 through June 30, a total of 915 people - 606 girls and 309 women - were reported missing, according to authorities. Last week, Peru's women's ministry said 1,200 women and girls had been reported missing during the pandemic - a higher figure that included the month of July. "The figures are really quite alarming," Isabel Ortiz, a top women's rights official, told the Reuters news agency on Tuesday. "We know the numbers of women and girls who have disappeared, but we don't have detailed information about how many have been found," she said. "We don't have proper and up-to-date records." The Andean nation home to 33 million people has long had a domestic violence problem, but the home confinement measures because of the pandemic has made the situation worse, said Eliana Revollar, who leads the women's rights office of the National Ombudsman's office, an independent body that monitors Peru's human rights. Peru is one of the hardest virus-hit Latin American nations, with more than 430,000 COVID-19 cases and 20,000 related deaths. Hospitals are struggling to cope with the rising number of patients and healthcare workers have protested against a lack of personal protective equipment (PPE). Before COVID-19, five women were reported missing in Peru every single day, but since the lockdown, that number has surged to eight a day. The women's ministry said the government was working to eradicate violence against women and had increased funding this year for gender-based violence prevention programmes. Countries worldwide have reported increases in domestic violence under coronavirus lockdowns, prompting the United Nations to call for urgent government action. Before the pandemic, hundreds of thousands of women throughout Latin America, including Peru, were staging mass street demonstrations demanding that their governments should act against gender-based violence. https://www.aljazeera.com/news/2020/08/lebanon-eyes-state-emergency-deadly-beirut-blast-live-200804234925493.html

Lima is one of the worst cities in the world for women, according to many lists. Every day we hear a new story regarding this. Certainly a serious concern.
