Just a few things...

  1. Why have an Israel and Iran symbol in your signatures and a Kangaroo?
  2. Are you a fair dinkum Aussie or from Israel or Iran?
  3. How old are you?
  4. I take it you are married, for how long and any kiddies?.
  5. What EPL team do you actually support?
  6. What part of Aussie land are you living in?

That is all cobber :ay:

Love John xxxx

  1. Why have an Israel and Iran symbol in your signatures and a Kangaroo? Why not? The kangaroo was from when someone changed my avatar on the old forum (I think), and I’ve kept it ever since. The Iran and Israel flags are just purely random.
  2.  Are you a fair dinkum Aussie or from Israel or Iran? First Aussie in my family... but I can assure you I’m not even 1% Israeli or Iranian.
  3. How old are you? At least buy me a drink first... 30.
  4. I take it you are married, for how long and any kiddies?. I am not married and do not have kids. Thanks for reminding me!
  5. What EPL team do you actually support? Manchester United as a kid and young adult. Now? Soft spots for Villa and Spurs due to family.
  6. What part of Aussie land are you living in? Western Australia! About 125kms inland from Perth in a town of 900odd people.

That is all cobber :ay:

Nice one, a United man, the only states in Aussie land I have been is Victoria where I grew up, NSW when I went to do some Bodysurfing on Bondi, then went to Surfers Paradise to do some Bodysurfing there, stopped at Fremantle when we emigrated to Aussie land and when I came back to the UK I left Victoria by bus across the Nullarbor Plains and caught a boat in Adelaide.

Any pets?

What keeps you in the town you're in? Family or work?

Are you dating anyone?

Is it awkward using online dating apps in a town of 900 people and everyone knows everyone?

What football club, or team or football event first brought you into the internet in search of the world of football forums?

What are your top 3 beers?

What is your drinking pattern? Social? With dinner? Etc.

Do you think Australia is a racist country?

All Time favourite female celebrity and/or port star?

Where does your towns water supply come from? Bores?

What is your ethnic/cultural background?

Tv show you've gotten most invested into watching besides game of thrones?

Which single person has fucked up the world the most in history?

Why did you leave Sheep?

What do you think of the Peru National Team?

Why is Tim Cahill amazing?

I left sheep as I really couldn’t commit enough time to it. Outside of Mafia stuff (on here - not real life mafia things...) I haven’t posted much in the last few weeks. You run it well, though! Maybe I’ll join again one day.

To be honest, I haven’t seen much of them, I obviously saw your lot beat us at the World Cup and the style you played was very different to what I’ve seen in recent years. A solid side but nothing impressive, beating or being better than us isn’t much of a feat ;)

Tim Cahill is amazing because of his Eurasian complexion... oh, and his desire and hard work. Not the most technically gifted footballer (that goal v Netherlands at the World Cup though... wow!), but a right battler and plays with every bit of energy and emotion.

What is the best and worst thing about teaching?

What's the best piece of advice you'd give to a teacher?

What have you learnt about yourself teaching?

What's the best thing and worst thing about the UK?

Best thing about teaching is the kids. Simple as that. Worst thing... old teachers set in their ways or the staff meetings that could have easily been an email.

What have I learnt about myself? I’ve really come out of my shell. I’ve developed better communication skills. I’ve learnt that I can do this - after having months of doubt during my studies. I’m determined to keep on learning and get better and better.

Best thing about the UK, would have to be the football culture... worst thing - weather.

Any pets? None myself. Looking into getting a kitten next year... the gf has a dog so that’s sorta mine I guess...

What keeps you in the town you're in? Family or work? Work. Actively trying to get into Perth but it’s a tough job market out there. Often 250+ applications for one teaching job.

Are you dating anyone? Yes. Apart from @Dr. Gonzo, I’ve been in a relationship for the past 14 months with a real life female.

Is it awkward using online dating apps in a town of 900 people and everyone knows everyone? I logged in when I first moved here, but there’s basically no one on it. But I can imagine it could be very awkward when everyone knows everyone!

What football club, or team or football event first brought you into the internet in search of the world of football forums? What a great question! I can’t remember how I found TFF, but I was on forums initially because of Championship/Football Manager. I also was a founding staff member  on a Manchester United forum that, in its prime, had I think like 3000+ members. Madness really. I would’ve been like 15.

What are your top 3 beers? Probably changed heaps but right now:

1) Stone & Wood - Pacific Ale

2) Little Creatures Pale Ale

3) Otherside Brewery - Red Ale

What is your drinking pattern? Social? With dinner? Etc.

both. I’m in a bad habit of having 1-2 a night with and around dinner time. I used to be a pure massive binge drinker but I’ve probably only been drunk less than 10 times this year which is a big improvement, despite drinking basically daily in some capacity...

Do you think Australia is a racist country?

yes, but I can’t really think of many countries who aren’t? Not saying it’s okay. It really isn’t, and I feel we have many bad traits as a nation.

All Time favourite female celebrity and/or port star?

Port or porn? If it’s Port, then Warren Tredrea was good for the port power wasn’t he? Haha great question... I’m a fan of Emma Watson. There are so many but she’s probably been one of the longest serving favourites. As for porn stars, I change who and what I like about often...

Where does your towns water supply come from? Bores?

theres some catchments and groundwater... but I’m thinking yeah bores. I’ve never thought about it before...

What is your ethnic/cultural background?

like 98% southern English. Nothing too exciting. Some German. Distant distant relatives in Peru though apparently. Maybe Brian?

Tv show you've gotten most invested into watching besides game of thrones?

I was late to the party for these but... the office (UK), Breaking Bad and Peep Show.

Which single person has fucked up the world the most in history?

There are so many! Don’t make me choose! Actually... I’ll get back to you on this one. It’s been a long time typing these and this is deep for the last question haha

  • If you could build one thing to make teaching better what would it be and why?
  • Whats the best personal investment you've ever made? E.g. took a trip to Japan and lived there for X years.
  • What sports do you play?
  • Ever used a pickup line on someone while you were out in Japan (in Japanese) and it totally backfired?

Have you ever been to Japan?

3 favourite things about Australia?

Best hotel you've ever stayed in?

Have you ever played Aussie Rules football?

Snog, Marry and Avoid the following - @nudge, @carefreeluke, @Dr. Gonzo

I’ve visited 3 times. And lived there for 3 years. Surprised you didn’t know..

3 favourite things about Australia...

Climate, the natural beauty(native flora and fauna, beaches, etc) , and the relatively slower pace than your hugely populated countries.

Best hotel? That’s a tough one! I’ve stayed in some very fancy places. Sheraton Tokyo Bay...Hotel Okura in the same area... traditional Japanese hotels near Mt Fuji ($650 a night in April 😬)but probably Crown Towers Perth. Most expensive built hotel in the nation.

I’ve never played a game of Aussie Rules Football. I have definitely kicked the “ball” around a fair few times though. Including today at school.

That is hard. I mean I’m hard. I mean the question is. Fuck. Snog - @Dr. Gonzo(sorry but snog would probably turn into sex). Marry - @nudge (because she’s female and would be keen on many holidays). Avoid @carefreeluke even though he is like the nicest bloke ever :(

  • If you could build one thing to make teaching better what would it be and why? Hmmm. First thing that jumps to mind is  an automatic marking machine. It is important for me to see how they’re going but just something to help save time would be cool. Also, maybe a pill that make us never sick because these kids are just wow.
  • Whats the best personal investment you've ever made? E.g. took a trip to Japan and lived there for X years. Going back to university to study education. Sorted my life out a bit. It wasn’t bad but I had no direction before it. Education has then allowed me to live abroad etc.
  • What sports do you play? Football(soccer) - used to be semi pro back in the day. I also sometimes play cricket.
  • Ever used a pickup line on someone while you were out in Japan (in Japanese) and it totally backfired?haha, once got drunk and started calling a girl beautiful....was a guy from futsal’s girlfriend.

1) I haven’t had either! I wouldn’t eat camel but maybe I’d be tempted to eat crocodile.

2) Past - Sachin Tendulkar for sure. Great batsman. Present - I am not sure, I hardly watch these days, maybe Dhoni if he’s still around.

3) Past: I loved Mark Waugh and Mike Hussey. Present: It was Smith pre cheating. Now... I don’t have one. Boring answer, sorry! although Starc and Cummins maybe...

4) I miss my social life there and the lack of responsibilities.

5) I did have to google. Allens looks best perhaps. I haven’t watched how well they take dick though.

6) Anthony

7) yeah fair few times but not for a long time. Last time would’ve been a good 7-8 years ago. Worked there for an ashes game setting up events on the field during play breaks. Stood next to Matthew Hayden. Huge man. Past me was too shy to talk.

8) obviously AC/DC. Wolfmother (debut album only probably) and Airbourne are good. Powderfinger, Savage Garden and Grinspoon had some good stuff too.

9) crosses paths with a snake and we both slithered away. Had near misses on the road with emus and kangaroos. Spiders everyday. Nothing too crazy!!
