  2. Haha if it was worth millions the picture would look more like this: But yes, that's the actual shot the image is obviously cropped and the contrast is boosted in post processing though. Looks much better through the scope, you can even make out some of the moons! Seeing the rings for the first time made me more excited than I thought it would

  14. It's a big loss. There's an argument that van Dijk is the best player in the league. Certainly up there with De Bruyne and Salah for me. His presence in defence will be missed as will his the quality of his passes from the back. But Matip and Gomez are both good defenders; if they step up, the drop-off from van Dijk won't be too precipitous. Gomez's form is a bit of a concern, but if these are the "mentality giants" we're always told they are, they'll be fine. My primary concern is depth. One of them will have to miss time at some point; they're both injury prone, and no one can do 3 games a week for as long as they're being asked to anyway. Once that happens, it starts to sound a bit like the skeleton dance because their only cover is Fabinho, Fabinho's cover is Henderson, Henderson's cover is Wijnaldum. They all also can't do 3 games in a week in their own position, let alone cover someone else's, so there's a serious amount of shuffling that needs to be done. Not sure Pepe's the answer, but bringing in another CB in January is key. I don't know what the pecking order in the reserves is, but I wouldn't be surprised if we saw some of Phillips, Koumetio and/or Sepp van den Berg in meaningful fixtures before January. I'm not writing them off, but it's clearly not ideal. My other concern is Adrian because he's both shite and completely rogue. It's so much harder to be organised and focussed as a defensive unit when you can't even trust your goalkeeper to be in goal.

  15. Are you really picking this fight again? You're the one who was so desperate to exonerate the officials on Saturday that you were trying to convince everyone that Mane's elbow was actually his shoulder or something. I can't even argue with you on this because it isn't a matter of opinion anymore. Football is for the fans and no fans are happy with the current standard of officiating and the way games are being affected and dictated by bizarre rule changes and misuse of technology. If they want some sympathy from those criticising them then they should come out and tell us what they're doing publicly. They don't have to do it but they can't complain about people bemoaning a lack of scrutiny and clarity if they don't share anything with the public. It's because they're not arsed. If they were arsed, they'd do something about it. Abuse of referees is a completely different kettle of fish to pointing out faults in what they're doing on an internet forum. I'm not calling them a cunt from the sidelines or sending them death threats on social media. In fact, most criticism is currently aimed at the authorities messing with the rules rather than the referees themselves. If we're abusing referees by complaining about VAR then you're abusing me right now by calling me toxic and making insinuations about my job. I can only assume that you're involved in officiating in some shape or form and that you're passionate about it for that reason. That's fair enough if it's the case, but the majority are never going to share your opinion because the majority are simply football fans, and football fans feel a huge amount of frustration that unnecessary rule changes and their inconsistent implementation bring to the game. I mean come on, Saturday was the angriest and most competitive Merseyside derby there's been in years and yet Everton and Liverpool fans were (mostly) united in agreeing that disallowed goals like the one they had ruled out at the end is not the way the game is supposed to be.

  16. It would be a big shame. It's bad enough that they removed Brazil as the last race.

  20. Will do, but don't expect any high quality photos as this scope is not really suitable for astrophotography... Will see what I can do though!

  21. Taking decent moon pictures with a smartphone is nearly impossible, you usually end up with a tiny bright blob...If it has manual controls then you can play around with them, reducing exposure, etc for better results, but it will still be disappointing and won't show any detail. I have taken some decent moon shots with a DSLR, and even then it can be quite tricky as the moon is so bright it fools the lightmeter into trying to average out the bright celestial body with the dark sky, so you end up with overexposed shots again. A tripod, a telephoto lens (at least 200-300mm) is a must, and then finding the right exposure is key. Simple exposure compensation of at least two steps back might work, but I always got best results with spot metering and focusing on the brightest spot on the moon so the exposure goes down to around 1/125s minimum. I know those detaisl probably do not interest you at all, but I love talking about it
