  3. To be honest the Fofana challenge before looks a bit naughty too. Raking his studs down his Achilles.

  4. Seen the reaction. Don’t get me wrong, it’s not good but it’s not worth the reaction so far.

  5. I could be wrong too. I just know the Brazilians were back late last week I think so I suppose there's a chance they may play a part. Henderson was only back this week so he's unlikely to play I think

  6. I haven't seen that series but she has seen it as she recommended me to watch it ages ago. She is from Cali though so she has told me more about the Orejuela brothers, who were the bosses of the Cali Cartel. I've read a few books about them and they are actually the ones who first opened the cocaine route to Europe, including Liverpool, where they had direct links to Scouse gangsters. They also opened a huge chain or pharmacies in Cali, which are still around to this day. For all the bad deeds that the Cartels carry out, they also help the local people who need it. In Medellín there are people who worship Escobar, as he really helped out alot of poor communities, while the government don't. I was infact smoking weed and chatting to a group of Mexicans from Sinaloa in a cannabis social club in Barcelona back in March last year and interestingly enough they spoke very highly of El Chapo and the Sinaloa Cartel. They have built schools and alsorts. Speaking of El Chapo, the series about him on Netflix is probably my favourite series in Spanish. Fantastic series, I might watch it again soon. Yeah the hippos have really become a problem. Making them infertile wouldn't be an easy task I wouldn't say and the problem with hippos is that barely, if any, animal is a match for them, so they can cause alot of destruction.

  7. The bit where she was sitting at the table, got her fork to poke at a pudding whatever then an eyeball popped out looking at her and then blood everywhere, the wife had just took a bite of her toast with jam she just made when that happened and she nearly choked on it, I fucking pissed myself laughing.

  8. More the risk of a holiday being ruined if that country suddenly goes into a lockdown

  9. Drag me to hell (2009) - Horror - 4/10 More of a laugh than anything else, some bits made you laugh when they were supposed to make you scared which the wife did and kept jumping out of her seat, but she chose the film and didn't want to admit it was not up to much.

  10. Probably just gunna drive down to Bournemouth/Sandbanks/Studland when the expected heatwave comes in for the day, won't be going on holiday anytime soon. Waiting on next year for things to hopefully open up a bit more on the continent so it's not just holidaying somewhere that is in a form of lockdown

  13. As part of my Zoo Management qualifications we had to watch some pretty fucked up shit, breaks your heart. Agree with @nudge too, on the whole zoos are fantastic and the pros very much outweigh the cons, but there are some animals where an exhibit no matter how large or enriched will never be enough.

  14. Just an update and thanks for all the well wishes. I did a lateral flow test when I started not to feel too good over a week ago. When the results turned out to be positive I was told to take a PCR test by the NHS to confirm that I was positive. Indeed after I took the PCR test, I tested positive. I had real difficulty breathing when I moved about too much and I also had a cough. I was told to self-isolate until the 5th of August by the NHS. Luckily I am feeling much better now. I am not getting out of breath anymore when I move about and I am hardly coughing. I guess my immune system has really battled hard over the past week to get me better. It was the unknown that was the most worrying part initially. As I was just told to self isolate, without any other advice as to what I could expect. I'll be getting the vaccine on the 6th of August, as I don't want a recurrence of this. I have to say that I am relieved that I am feeling much better now.

  15. Love this. That said, whenever I'm visiting any zoo, I always feel very uneasy seeing the great apes there. I know that a lot of zoos are a good thing in terms of wildlife conservation etc. and they also take good care of the animals, but it just feels insanely wrong to have those intelligent, human-like apes having to spend their lives locked up and constantly observed. Same applies to every animal, but the great apes hit especially close to home.

  16. Nice! I'd love to get to a position where I don't have to work a full week and still afford all the mortgage and bills etc. How does the 3-day week work as a teacher? I interviewed people for a job for the first time ever last month as part of my new job and you get a totally different perspective. Was actually a bit odd to get used to. I guess you have to be really on the ball and have good attention to detail as to what the interviewee is saying and try and read through the lines or any bullshit if possible. I totally get the decisions thing as well. My new boss has basically given me the green light to just make decisions as long as I can justify them sensibly and with the right processes followed.
