Here's more of Málaga for @nudge:- There's more, but it takes a while, so you'll have to wait for part 24 points

Took a break from F1 a few years, it was starting to get to predictable with one way dominance. I watched this year again, mostly to watch my favourite driver, and it turned out to be a good season to come back. Full of action and drama, love it.2 points

This is my point tbh. I don’t want it to be some whataboutism crusade though. I just think we need to think about society as a whole and not let anyone go adrift. I get academy lads have known nothing but football since a very early age, but it doesn’t mean they’re any more valuable than a British Gas apprentice being binned off after two years. Still, commendable of Palace and it shouldn’t be overlooked because of a different argument.2 points

I’m done talking about Willian. A player we should’ve fucked off years ago. That’s all I say on the matter. Edu has set Arsenal back enormously and looks like he’s at it again.2 points

Hungary was great and the Bako sprint race. Alpine have something to build off and hopefully they have a more competitive car next season.1 point

There's other countries that I want to visit before the USA(especially México, Colombia and Canada) but whenever USA does come up, there can only be California mate, so we might still get high one day yet . Fuengirola is actually one of the spots I'm going to check out mate. Benalmádena in Autumn and spring is peaceful and not as jam packed with tourists(atleast it wasn't in October when I visited for the day), even the beaches were only at 5% capacity despite it being 26 degrees. It's only 7 mile from Málaga airport and a close train or bus ride to the likes of Fuengirola and Mijas and you can get the cable car up into the mountains from there. It seems like the perfect base in order to do some exploring. Those little shits are everywhere nowadays and if not them, then Ring-neck Parakeets. They seem to thrive anywhere and take over the local bird populations. Little bastards I think there still are restrictions in the Canaries, but we'll see what happens closer to May or June time. Fuerteventura does look amazing though, especially its cristal clear waters, sand dunes and great landscapes.1 point

I’m not sure you get many people taking their own lives because they struggled with carpentry. No one really dreams of becoming a tradey and it’s definitely not as competitive once you have your apprenticeship, certainly attainable for anyone who really sets their sights on it. If you have a genuine goal in life to be a footballer and it’s all you’ve ever known and you are used and discarded by the club you give everything to day and night and it then becomes completely unattainable then there’s definitely going to be a big drop in mental health for a lot of people going through it. I think the issue is with clubs in general and how kids are used by academies and a lot of the work should come before the need for aftercare. The word aftercare suggests there’s been some sort of care there already and I don’t think that’s the case. The mental health deterioration begins long before the aftercare does, and the it implodes as the aftercare kicks in. It’s one of the reasons Sunday League is so important and why clubs like SE Dons and Baiteze are because they live and breathe passion for Sunday league. Ex-academy kids/pros can drop down and play for fun but also in an environment that tries to get the best out of them.1 point

Yes! My parents and I have stayed nearby there several times (Fuengirola). It's amazing. Great scenery. We went to a restaurant up in the hilltops once. I think I had some duck or lamb and it was delicious. I'll try and find the name of it and let you know.1 point

6 hour flight from me, so not the best flight but not too bad. The weed in Maui was disappointing though. If you ever head my way you’ve got to let me know.1 point

Good, pleased for the lad given the unfortunate incident that happened at our place. Handy player to have as we come to the most crucial half of the season.1 point

Operation Homemade Kebab was a success. Cost me my electric knife, as the meat was still pretty frozen despite it being out of the freezer for over an hour. Turned out quite well though. I was afraid that the meat would fall apart if I put it into the pan. But it wasn't the case for the most part. Made a Dürüm out of it, with cucumber, tomato, feta and homemade Döner sauce! I don't know why some of these pictures are blurry. Am I becoming John?1 point

That Luis Diaz signing is quality. Seems like a perfect fit for Liverpool to add to their attacking strength. Time to adapt and settle in and then when any of the front 3 leave he'll be ready to slot right in. Think he'll be a star and for how good he could be, it's fairly cheap. Good recruitment once again.1 point

Thought this myself. They were released for a reason, and it’s like everybody else who ever had an unsuccessful work trial or apprenticeship. It’s not like it’s the end of the road for them either, if they were good enough to be in the Palace academy, there’s a high likelihood that they will be able to get a spot in the lower leagues. Say they end up playing League 1 football to start with, it’s still a much better lifestyle than most “normal” people have.1 point

Whilst this is commendable for what it is, I want to play devils advocate for a moment. Do this just make more of a case that footballers are more special than the rest of society? For instance, does this thing happen as standard in apprenticeships up and down the country in various job roles/descriptions? Just food for thought.1 point

Since 4-5 years we have those parrots in my city as well! They're loud as fuck if they're in flocks together. Nice pics!1 point

Love Malaga @Carnivore Chris. Beautiful city. Been years since I've been but thanks for the memories. Also, lovely sunset!1 point

No, unfortunately. I had hotels and a car booked in Fuerteventura originally, but at the time I arrived to Tenerife, it got moved to level 4 and only essential travel was allowed between islands. It was possible later after a few months, but with situation changing unpredictably, I didn't want to get stuck there and miss my next flight.1 point

Can highly recommend Teide volcano and national park in Tenerife. There's also an impressive observatory there; it was sadly closed due to covid situation when I was there so I missed out on it But still, the views are majestic. I also booked a paragliding flight from Mount Teide, and would highly recommend it, too1 point

It is a ride. Don't let anyone tell you the ending was stupid. That's what people who didn't get it say.1 point

Are we having a sun set picture contest or what? Difference is with mine and yours is that I had to walk up a fucking mountain to take mine . Impressive how the Romans built a path leading right up to a fortress at the top though. Steep as fuck, but so brilliantly constructed.1 point

So far I know the most French but that is mostly due to exposure, it is a very prevalent language. I can’t get a hold of Spanish even though I do know a large vocab due to having Mexican friends. I think it is because the Australian English language and accent is non-rhotic so I have a lot of trouble with the letter R. For instance ‘car’ becomes ‘kaaa’ not ‘kar’. There was this one time working as a barista, I said this name ‘Kaa lowse’ and the guy looking at me confused and then realised I had an accent that is why I said ‘Carlos’ weird1 point

It's a shame because when he wasn't possessed by his own anger, I actually really liked the bloke. I'd had hoped he'd mellowed once he returned, but he seemed angrier than ever.1 point
