I hope there's one last mad Origi moment left this season. Maybe in Paris or at Wembley There's still Everton at home as well.3 points

Its funny because hes too progressive for the left but hes a socialist/extremist to the right. Good old two party system.2 points

Historic England have released up to 400,000 aerial pictures taken over the last 100 years, some being digitised. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-birmingham-60824486 It's quite fascinating looking at what places used to look like in a previous era/generation.2 points

From what I read, both Ricketts and Johnson are considered front runners due to their relationship with Raine Group and the UK Government. However, the decision ultimately lies with Bruce Buck. Ricketts I feel will miss out due to their pretty damming past islamophobia behavior and I don't expect Roman or the club to trust Johnson given how he's poorly run the Jets. Top 2 for me: Boehly-Wyss seems the safest bet. They've done their due diligence already with bids in the past, so they know the infrastructure of the club. From their comments, they are striving towards self sufficiency and efficiency, which is something we have been wanting for years. Can easily see why they are considered the favorites. Centricus seems promising. All involved are Chelsea fans with massive backing.1 point

I agree about Kano. He's an underrated actor to be honest. Talented lad.1 point

Going to watch it through but it hasn't got me wanting watch episodes back to back. The thing is the characters work as small time drug dealers on the Summerhouse estate but mixing it with high level drug dealers abroad, not having it I'm afraid. Sully is still by the far the best character, Kano plays the role brilliantly.1 point

Yeah the channel 4 original one was better due to how gritty and dark it was. Now it's become more "hollywoodized". It's still worth the watch though and I watched the first 2 episodes on the plane on Sunday.1 point

Did you ever go to Mijas when down this way? @Stan @DeadLinesman Unreal up there, genuinely beautiful as fuck. I take it back about Fuengirola being shithole also. I went down some bad areas at the start, but there are many nice parts as well.1 point

Honestly: I liked your interpretation much more than mine.1 point

I just thought about how a Scientist in German is called Wissenschaftler, which comes from Wissen schaffen, which literally means to create knowledge. Pretty cool.1 point

It wasn't the 737-Supermax which was grounded recently (and even more recently I've gone on 4 separate flights with that plane and every time I see it's a supermax I have to clench very hard to avoid shitting myself before takeoff). It was the 737-800, which I've been on... hundreds of times... I imagine for it to head straight down like that at that speed, something either had to be horribly wrong or the pilot decided to kill himself and several other people. I've seen some drone footage of the crash site and... there's barely anything at the site of impact, it looks like a lot of shit had disintegrated. I hope there's a black box so the mystery of why the plane went down can be solved. But it's just horrifying and I feel so bad for everyone on the plane.1 point

Haha I have done. It's a good one that. Well built and has a natural feel to it. It's actually a nice place to be honest. Mijas tomorrow I think.1 point

Tammy Abraham has now become the clubs highest scorer in a first season debut... 23 goals in 40 games in all competitions with his 2 against Lazio at the weekend going ahead of Montella & Batistuta who both scored 21 Go Tammy... So glad we splashed all that cash at Lukaku... Special mention for the free kick from Pellegrini... A thing of beauty1 point

This bits good, taking ownership and not accepting the way the club behaves... that's all that was required This was a bit Boris Johnson.... defensive and deflecting.. Rennes said you were "Unworthy" tarnishing your family club image..1 point

Amazing the scrutiny Lampard is under. He's been here 5 minutes. Of course we should stick with him if we get relegated, if nothing more than to send a message to these players that you're the ones who are going to get turfed out here after you've seen off 6, 7, 8 managers. People from outside the club really will struggle to apply normal analysis to Everton's situation I'm afraid. Ancelotti is off pissing La Liga and knocking PSG out of the Champions League and even he could only get 10th place out of this lot. Ideally we would have kept him as he had the authority to cut loose all of the players who have been letting us down for years under loads of different managers. Sadly circumstance intervened and we have to try to give that authority to Lampard. I've already referred once to Jamie Carragher's comments about Everton on Monday Night Football. They've had Koeman, Silva, Allardyce, Ancelotti, Benitez, Lampard. At some point you have to stop looking for a new manager to get more out of the same players and tell them it's about fucking time you get some performance out of yourself or you can forget about a new contract at this club. This should have started happening 3-4 managers ago.1 point

Interesting interpretion: Always thought Wissenschaft had as much to do with "Wissen schaffen" as Landschaft, Priesterschaft and Mannschaft with "Land schaffen"", "Priester schaffen", and "Männer schaffen" respectively. In this case - schaft wouldn't come from schaffen, but were the German equivalent to the English suffix "ship" , which would mean Wissenschaft were literally "knowledgeship" and a Wissenschaftler were someone committing to knowledgeship.0 points
