  5. Richarlison was one of the few players Everton fans could count on to do something in matches for them that was positive. He's a good player and he's got a win-at-all costs mentality, which makes him an absolute twat to play against, but he's got the mentality to fight for his club. And he's performed pretty regularly for Brazil too. It's a big loss for Everton, but it's a huge signing for Spurs I think. He's a player that can come in for your two best players... and he can also play alongside them. So now you've got 4 very good players to compete for spots in that front 3 you have - I think that can only be a good thing for you. I don't really think you have anything to worry about. Terry Sheringham's thinking about things I think with a bit too much of an old school mentality - especially with this condensed season for the World Cup after an already pretty rigorous season with its own weird scheduling issues - you need depth to really contend. Now you've got exceptional attacking depth. Also it's all well and good having him remince about how Spurs did things in the old days that he maybe considers the golden years. But how many trophies did Spurs win then? I'm pretty sure the only thing he won at Spurs was player of the year - it seems a bit weird to tell someone like Conte, someone who's figured out how to win leagues many times, that he's doing it wrong and he should look to a period of time where Spurs won nothing.

  6. Not really, Spain has two ports on the African mainland. When Tony Blair raised the prospect of joint sovereignty of Gibraltar with Spain, 200 Moroccan troops suddenly landed on one of these ports, Ceuta if I recall properly. Spain protested yet the message was clear just as Spain wants Britain out of Gibraltar so the Moroccan wants Spain off their land.

  11. He had to step down from the same or a similar job in 2017 apparently because there was some sort of complaint lodged against him and yet "Boris" appoints him as Deputy Chief Whip again. This is nothing new though. Never forget that after Gavin Williamson was sacked from Theresa May's cabinet for leaks while he was *Defence Secretary* and was then appointed as Education Secretary by Bozo and oversaw the Covid exams disaster, the Covid school closure disaster and ended up with a knighthood for what is clearly an impeccable record of service to the country in government. As always, you can just imagine the reaction to all of these stories and how much more severe the narrative would be if all of these scandals were played out by a Labour Party in government. Literally imagine if it emerged that Jeremy Corbyn or Keir Starmer tried to bag their 24 years younger mistress a six-figure salaried job which is paid out of the public purse while they were using their parliamentary office to carry on their affair while their wife was undergoing chemotherapy for cervical cancer. I actually think peoples' personal lives and the impact it has on their job in politics are overblown but the double standards are astounding.

  12. The misogynism king of the incels joins the worlds greatest incel platform? Was bound to happen soon. "You must overcome the dragon of chaos, which is of course represented by the feminine, and slay it with the sword of order, which is masculine. Now, what this means for people of our humble time, is walking tall, keeping your moms basement where you reside clean and tidy, and never ever having sex, because that's embracing the feminine, which is gae"

  13. Yeah, on guns, the whole it's not guns that kill take just falls apart for me when you start with a national sense of entitlement to guns. What happens when any member of such a society goes nuts? People start shooting guns. I don't know too many nations to compare to, but in the UK it's not in the slightest bit easy to obtain a gun of any kind. There's no sense of national entitlement to have 1. When people go nuts here, it's with knives & stuff. Or terrorist self made bombs.

  14. What the actual fuck is wrong with this lot? Less than a week after there was a double by-election for a Tory MP who resigned because he was a sex offender and another Tory MP who resigned after watching pornography on his phone in the workplace. Comes along with the story that Johnson tried to get Carrie a job on a six-figure salary in the Foreign Office when he was Foreign Secretary having an affair with her while his wife at the time had cancer, and it only got blocked because their affair came to light after another MP walked in on her noshing him off in his parliamentary office. I know I don't half go on in this thread but that's how much it takes just to keep up with the scandals.

  15. History has a trend that shows countries with strong identities and preservation of values last longer. When countries are eroded by population dilution they eventually lose their culture and history. Which is why Israel sends anyone that refuses to adopt the israeli culture packing. It prevents cultural erosion.
