People think he was given the Barcelona team on a platter. He had the cajones to sell fucking Ronaldinho, Deco, and Eto’o to build a new team. Xavi and Iniesta weren’t considered elite yet, he brought in Pique, Alves, Busquets, Pedro, and many others. Comparing Rijkaard’s and Guardiola’s Barcelonas are night and day. I don’t even know why I am posting this again, and again, and again3 points

The disrespect Pep gets for putting together two of the greatest teams to have ever played the game at Barce is genuinely mental. Not to mention the season he took over they had just finished 3rd on 67 points. And then he goes and makes history as the first Spanish side to ever win a treble.2 points

Honestly, Klopp vs Pep debate shouldn't even exist. It's so simple: Under Klopp, Mainz went from German 2nd division to 13th in Bundesliga on zero budget: - Can Pep go to Mainz and do that? Under Klopp, Dortmund went from 18th in Bundesliga to 2 titles and a UCL final on a shoestring budget: - Can Pep go to Dortmund and do that? Under Klopp, Liverpool went from 8th in the league to winning all trophies in 6 years, majorly on the back of selling Coutinho and finding gems like Salah, Diaz: - Could Pep ever do that on Liverpool's net spend? Now see the reverse...what if Klopp went: - To Barcelona with Messi, Xavi, Iniesta and Barca's budget - To Bayern with Robben, Ribery, Lewandowski and Bayern's budget - To Man City with De Bruyne, Kompany and City's budget Seriouly, what is there to debate? It's like comparing an actual, proven Football coach and a little boy playing FIFA Manager Mode in real life.2 points

Must say we've made some very interesting transfers this summer, especially compared to the deals in the past few years. Really looking forward to see how all of them do in the Bundesliga. We need to go back to the times when our scouting department used to find players with plenty of potential and make clever deals; that's literally the only way we can keep up with the rich clubs.1 point

I know you love Klopp and its understandable because there's no denying he's an immense manager. But there's a lot of disrespect for Pep in this post.1 point

I don’t know how many times people on this site have to tell you how and why what Guardiola did at Barcelona and Bayern are so impressive, particularly the former. It is tiring, how many times is this same conversation had to be had?1 point

I know 2 huge JP fans. one literally has a shrine to him hahahaha. Both fuck occasionally, because both are good looking dudes. But struggle huge time to form relationships. Why? Because incel daddies advice only runs skin deep. It doesn't help people form personalities or meaningful relationships, but it does breed entitlement and a smug superiority. Normal people don't want to spend their time with a self help guru. They want to be comfortable, not challenged and judged constantly. So you end up with Jared and Brodie. Jacked crypto bros who wear nice watches and go to the gym, but who can't hold a conversation that isn't based on status, judgement or an obvious fake 'im a chill vibes dude' tangent. So these broken people remain broken because the reason they're so fucked up in the first place is because their self esteem is low because others place little value on them. I think people who are already reasonably sane, who are getting a mix of advice from several sources would stand to gain the most from JPs writings, because they would have the self awareness to pick and choose the things valuable to them. Ironically it's the cult of incels he panders to who gain the least.1 point

Didn't watch this match. Heard snippets about it. Some might find it entertaining but Kyrgios to me is 10% punchy, entertaining showman and 90% petulant and entitled bellend. I don't care whether you're a sportsperson in MMA or Dressage, a cunt is a cunt. That said, Tsitsipas is a pretty big bellwhiff as well.1 point

Not the greatest of footage, but there's 4 dolphins jumping there. It's a shame the twat on the speed boat went over them and ruined the shot.1 point

You hope for United's sake that this religious persuit for De Jong for 80m is worth it. For me United needed for more than just one player and he is taking up most of their budget. The outgoings are also not working out as all the rumoured exists are still there and seemingly unmoveable. Ten Haag is going to have to be the second coming of Sir Alex or he will be sacked by the new year. It doesn't appear that Man United are going to be that different from the team that ended the season.1 point

Not watched it and given my hate for him I won't ever watch it through principle. Saddest thing for me was how Mourinho was basically telling everyone years ago this guy is a virus and we all ignored him and called him a past it lunatic. To think these managers have had to deal with the Pogba and Lingard circus show for so long, it must have been toxic as hell in that dressing room. My only hope is the current crop is now rid of the trouble makers and then knuckle down and start playing for the shirt.1 point

I thought the actions between him and Raiola the summer of 2021 when he had a year left on his deal was so, so condescending towards United and United fans. RIP and all that but Raiola was everything wrong with modern football.1 point

I see Van Gaal has apparently told Timber he can’t play for Netherlands if he’s not a regular starter for United. Bergwijn and Ake would argue differently you giraffe necked cunt.1 point
