  2. I just saw that on Facebook. What the hell was that question? I like how you can see Klopp processing what he just heard, and the more it sunk in, the more baffled he got.

  3. I am thinking of going to Chachapoyas in a few days for a relaxing AirBnB and Instagram trip. I have a dilemma, there are 2 places I am looking to stay in. Or... The first one is cheaper by a few dollars but is not very centric. The second one is centric but not as photogenic. I am really leaning towards option #1 because the idea is to get to know Chachapoyas at a slow pace but mostly just relax, listen to music and take a few pictures of my surroundings. The benefits to option 2 is it could save me a few extra bucks in taxi and I could just go outside to get to know the place, should I change my mind and feel more like exploring. Flight is about 300 soles ($75 USD). I am very tempted. @nudge

  5. Spoilt brat! Not every city and town got their stadium renovated , or like Düsseldorf even entirely new built for the 2006 WC, fuck's sake.

  6. It's insane. I heard a small select of people mentioned with his dancing, that he's asking for it. F*ck off I say, and I hope Vini dances away. People will always find a way to hate you and so if he were to stop, they just find something else they'd not like about him, and yet swear that they aren't 'racist'. Pricks. I'm glad La Liga is really taking this serious, and putting in extra effort to find those that are yelling things at Vini, and prosecuting those that are guilty. They already found the main culprit at Mallorca, and luckily that jackass is facing criminal charges.

  8. Bit late but here's some pics of my trip to Krakow, minus the Auschwitz one's I'd already posted seperately. All the snowy pics are from a day trip to Zakopane, in the mountains. Amazing place. Apologies for the spam, just skip if you like

  10. So I've been to my first women's game today, Germany vs. Sweden. Germany had like 21 wins in 30 games against Sweden, but of course the play 0:0 when I show up. Still a very cool experience. Loved the positive atmosphere. Keeper saves an easy ball? WOOOOOOOO. Someone hoofs it into the stands? FUCK YEAH! It was kind of a refreshing change to the Fortuna games I too, with the negative nancys who just wait for a chance to fucking complain and act like they've been coaches all their life.

  11. Why don't you leave Spain until the football season starts in late September and attend a game? Spanish weather, especially in the South, is beautiful at that time of the year and the tourism isn't as high either since all the kids are back at school after the holidays. In saying that, it all depends on when you yourself can go, given how I'm guessing you will be taking the kids with you.

  12. It's about Araújo for me. He had Vini's number the last game. Dealt with him with ease, so him being on top form will be important. I don't understand why Xavi played Alonso and Alba over Christensen and Balde against Man United, when the latter 2, along with Araújo and Koundé, are the reason the defence is so solid this season. When they did come on, it was much better. Rashford made a joke out of Alonso when Christensen would have done a better job. Cádiz last week and Almería next week are more ideal games for resting players, surely. Bullying them!

  14. The best case scenario for Barcelona would be to win all 3 games of course, but if one game was to end in a loss, it would be the league game given the point advantage at the top. I also think Real will drop more points than Barcelona between now and the end of the season.

  16. Who's the prick asking the question? Klopp's facial reaction is exactly what I did. Just sheer bemusement blended in with confusion and basically 'wtf'.

  18. I am mostly talking about the MLS rivalries here. The 2 best I think are Seattle Sounders vs Portland Timbers thanks it being the oldest rivalry and dating back to before the MLS was a thing, and Toronto FC vs Montreal Impact for it's backstory and the Quebecois having a historical grudge against people from Ontario, giving it a partizan feeling and authenticity. As for the others, I feel some of them were put just via historical reference and not it's current state. For example, San Lorenzo vs Huracan used to be a great rivalry but nowadays it doesn't attract many people and they don't tend to fill up. This is more Huracan's fault than San Lorenzo however. Also, I genuinely had no idea All Boys has Nueva Chicago as a rival.

  24. Christian Streich has managed Freiburg 340 Buli matches now, that means he's their shared record 1.tier manager together with Volker Finke. Managing this club since the 2nd of January 2012 now, that's an eternity in modern football.

  26. Yeah, there's an argument that using sample sizes that are too high is unnecessary/inefficient for research - as well as arguably unethical (and conversely, using sample sizes that are too small is considered unscientific and unethical). But there's a few things to consider when you need to determine the sample size of a survey: 1.) population size; 2.) the confidence interval (the margin of error you're allowing for in the survey - a lot of the time with surveys you see online it's a margin of error of + or - 5%); 3.) the confidence level (how confident you are that the actual mean of the results falls into the confidence level; 4.) the standard deviation (a lower standard deviation means the values will be clustered around the mean, a high standard deviation means they're spread across a wider range) - when you haven't yet run a survey, don't know what your standard deviation's going to be... .5 is what's used on a lot of surveys. In statistics there's something called a z-score you use for formulas trying to take your confidence level and plug it into a formula to get the required sample size. For a 95% confidence level (with that +/- 5% margin of error I mentioned) the z-score = 1.96. There's a few different formulas you can use to determine a sample size. One common one is Cochran's formula, which is: necessary sample size = (z-score)2 x Standard deviation x (1-standard deviation) / (margin of error)2 , so plugging all that shite I talked mentioned above necessary sample size = (1.96)2 x .5(.5) / (.05)2 ... (3.8416 x .25) / .0025.... .9604/.0025... 384.16 And since you can't sample .16 of a person, the necessary sample size is 385. Then there's a correction formula for Cochran's formula for "small populations", which is: adjusted necessary sample size = the necessary sample size we got above / 1 + (necessary sample size from above - 1)/size of population being sampled. So filling in those variables with the Netherlands' population (which you'll see, we don't really need to do because the Netherlands does not have a small population) adjusted sample size = 385 / 1+ (384/17.5m)... 385 / 1 + ( .00002194)... so 385/1.00002194... 384.991553 & since we can't sample .99 of a person, that's 385. It's important to note that statistical significance is not always the same as research significance (though they can be related) and there are a lot of variables that go into whether a sampled population is considered quality or not. Apologies for the random statistics lesson!

  28. I'm saving up for a football trip around Mexico this August. I also have a few friends I want to meet. Any hidden gems around the CDMX nucleus? (nothing north of Guadalajara basically). There is a cool town called Taxco that I might stop by, looks neat.

  29. German-Iranian sentenced to death today: https://iranwire.com/en/prisoners/114019-iranian-german-dissident-sharmahd-sentenced-to-death-in-iran/ I think he's the guy the IRI kidnapped from Dubai because of his work with opposition groups within Iran. But still the EU refuses to list the IRGC as a terrorist organization because of the desire to have low energy costs.

  30. Hello Tomorrow! A new Apple TV+ retro-futuristic series that feels a bit like a mix of Mad Men, Severance, and the Jetsons. Watched first three episodes and I'm hooked. Billy Crudup steals the show with his charisma. Oh and it has some very strong Fallout vibes!
